  1. A married couple who are acquaintances here in MN both contracted COVID in the last week. Husband developed double pneumonia and is in CICU. He was on heated pressurized oxygen, but went on the vent this morning. Both have expressed skepticism in the past about vaccines and the mandated use thereof. Apparently, some have been asking her about their vaccination status. She responded with a long-winded rant saying to mind your own business, which translates to "We're not vaccinated." It's reeeeeealy hard to dredge up any sympathy.
  2. That TD for Bama was a defensive thing of beauty.
  3. ...or not
  4. Methinks we're about to find out.
  5. Well. No shit.
  6. They'll have to take a number.
  7. Ain't it funny what the children say. Skip a rope.
  8. Someone tell me why I shouldn't load up on Michigan -3.5 at Nebraska.
  9. Everyone I know that bets CFB and their uncle is playing piggy and the points. Looks like a good side to stay away from. Northwestern +11.5 at Nebraska and UNDER 51.5. Two shitty teams = take the points. Neither of these two teams should be giving two scores to anyone. Fitz has won in Lincoln. Also, hard play on the under. SMall play on BC +14 at Clemson
  10. The priest down in LaCrosse who was shamelessly shilling COVID and vaccine misinfo was sacked and told to shut up. Naturally, he didn't. https://www.ncronline.org/news/parish/altman-controversial-wisconsin-priest-still-speaking-out-despite-limits-bishop I hope non-Catholics have some idea of how egregiously a priest has to fuck up in order to be removed from his post.
  11. Then explain why Minnesota brought their top 8 OL back and have stunk up the New Brickhouse against bad MAC teams.
  12. Billy Mack, please pick up the white courtesy phone...
  13. ...and by dozens, they mean one.
  14. Bowling Green +31 at Minnesota. PJ's Gopher teams don't cover big numbers in the non-con.
  15. Scratch one pickup opportunity from the board.
  16. House Moderna here for the Mrs. and I too. Super-sore injection arms for 3 days with Round 1. Round 2 produced hangovers from the 7th circle of hell the following day.
  17. There is a sharp cutoff for millennials on the young end: if they have a coherent memory of 9/11. This means the last millennials were born early in 1995.
  18. Completely agree on the cacio e pepe. We were in Rome for a week, and only had 1 bad meal the whole time. I'm not much of a wine drinker, but I drank more excellent wine in our 2 weeks in Italy than I've drank in my life before or since.
