  1. This is a much better slate than the early 2010s, when every commercial was some derivation of "Hi. We're Nationwide Insurance. Insure with us or your kids die."
  2. U2 > Prince >> (large gap) >> everyone else
  3. IMHO this one is a Top 5 Super Bowl commercial that never seems to get mentioned.
  4. Hubert Humphrey, Gene McCarthy, and Walter Mondale are all dead.
  5. Considering the thumb-up-ass response from the GOP after the Parkland shooting, Gen Z breaking hard blue should come as a shock to no one. Getting them to the polls is another matter. Speaking of which, has it really been six fucking years already?
  6. Yes. Vegas time is 17 hours behind Tokyo, so the show ends around 3:30 AM Vegas time.
  7. Good grief, he needed a kick there. Terrible decision.
  8. Lions are gonna score again before the half...
  9. Except the Lions have already won Opening Night at Arrowhead.
  10. I didn't know the Niners signed Kyle Bass this week.
  11. Also, there is a lot of Honolulu blue inside the stadium tonight.
  12. The Lions aren't fucking around tonight. Great start by them.
  13. Yup, that's gonna hold up. Huge turnover.
  14. After I got vaccinated for COVID, every time I farted the garage door opened.
  15. I'm trying to reconcile the monster play Mauer had while on league minimum with his abject rancidness after he signed his big contract.
  16. Bills opening with some ground-and-pound. They need to finish this drive badly.
  17. The last Lions NFC Championship Game was at RFK Stadium. Good for the Lions. Now let's go Buffalo!
  18. I don't think going for it there was out of line. A big part of their plans required being up 10-0, not 6-0. As for the Lions, big drive there to go up 17-10.
  19. Yup. If the Packers want to win, this needs to be 10-0 after this upcoming series. Also, that should have been a pick six on that awful throw. Purdy hit the corner square on the numbers.
  20. The Packers have already executed the plan to beat the Niners: go into a rowdy building, go up 10-0 or 14-0 right out of the gate, and turn the crowd on the home team. They did it in Detroit on Thanksgiving, they did it in Minnesota on New Years Eve, and they did it last Sunday at Jerry World. Add in the fact that Kyle Shanahan's Niners have a really bad record when coming from off the pace, and you've got a live dog.
