A C-152 flying around with full flaps? An army of 4k drones was the best way to do this. Doesn't matter, story's over. It'll be weeks to months to find the missing bodies now.
The Spring Branch Guad crossing is at the top of my neighborhood. The peak should be at 2 am, and should top Hwy 281. I suspect 281 will be closed within the next few hours here.
TxDot finished redoing the Hwy 281 bridge over the Guadalupe within the last year. Tonight the water and debris are supposed to peak 10 feet over the road. I don't see how it survives. Small problem compared to those missing.
These camps are fairly isolated such that there's no flood sirens nearby. Maybe there's been budget cuts to the NWS. Who knows. Where my daughter is, Laity Lodge, has no cell coverage until you're back on Hwy 83. They're kind of trapped for now because you have to drive in the river to get in and out. The water has risen and the camp lost all their river toys, but the Frio there doesn't become the torrent like the Guadalupe.
I live in River Crossing. The north end of the neighborhood has homes near the south bank of the Guadalupe. KSAT says the river there will be +34 feet later today. Those homes have to be close to getting wet. I'll set the o/u for Canyon at 9.5 feet.
Impressive, but it's what they train and plan for every day. I'd expect nothing less for almost a trillion dollars a year. It's why we don't have healthcare. Still Impressive.
Are we going to do this every election now? Yes, yes we are. The more logical explanation is that this country is full of just awful people. It's who we are. Trump is just the symptom and manifestation of what this country is.
