I’m just pointing out that young talent generally makes mistakes compared to 3rd year players. You saw a similar dropoff in 2009 when Colt no longer had Cosby and Collins. Cosby wasn’t even drafted, but our 2009 offense would have been a great deal better if he hadn’t run out of eligibility.
Sure, but you could also argue that more than a few times Wingo and Moore killed drives with mistakes. Moore almost gifted Clemson a game changing pick 6. Wingo didn't breakoff his route versus Vandy which lead to a sack and us settling for a FG.
Meh, he’s a RS-FR. Him displacing McDonald, Guilbeau and/or Taaffe would be greatly distressing imo. I expect a few of these younger guys to get more time this year.
It's a good thing they are idiots. If they were smart they would take starters off of the rosters of Arkansas, Okie Lite and Tulsa. Guys who would be reaches in high school but are from Oklahoma and have shown that they can play big boy football. OU is run by idiots.
Gibson got the 1st down versus Clemson. Asshole refs fucked us. Taaffe picked us up in the end though. If Gibson continues on his path then he and Clark can carry the short yardage load until our hammer is ready.
Roman Harper is alright with me. He and Cole Cubilic were critical but fair to us last year. I prefer listening to former players over talking heads all day excepting our own special ass clown, Manny Acho.
They also had found some sort of schematic exploit too. I remember watching an actual breakdown of what they did to attack the formation once. That’s probably around the time you started seeing a shift in the punt protections too.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Akina pretty heavily involved with our punt blocking during his time here with Mack? I remember we would constantly go back and forth for the lead in punt blocks with Va Tech and Beamer Ball.
