  1. Any of you NYC area posters attending the John Hinckley Jr. concert on July 8th in Brooklyn at the Market Hotel? No idea if Jodie Foster is planning on attending. https://www.markethotel.org/calendar/2022/6/17/scenic-presents-voivod-63h9y
  2. Anyone else do the College Station MS 150 this past weekend? It was my 15th Houston MS 150. Between the heat, the crappy roads for most of the route, my age, and not being real serious about training, it was definitely not the easiest ride. But I can now say I rode my bike on Kyle Field, which is something I never thought I would say.
  3. They already have an outpost in Bay City. Are they thinking about closing that one down or adding a third location in Victoria?
  4. My guess is that this was playing while dude was "piloting" the yacht.
  5. I've been a couple of times. Not that my opinion matters, but I think it is good bbq. Definitely better than anything else in the area. Have not had the tamales. I would like to try them but I just cannot see myself spending that much on tamales.
  6. Goat yoga seems to be all the rage. I'd look into that.
  7. I did not remember that one, so I looked it up. Good slow dance song. Or perhaps a good drinking song. Probably depends on your mood. Would throwing some Aaron Tippin on the jukebox get one's ass kicked? I always like this song of his.
  8. No love for Ricky Van Shelton in this thread?
  9. https://boostnatics.com/products/diesel-fuel-scented-candle There is actually more of a selection out there that I would have thought.
  10. Someone is waking up in a bathtub full of ice and a note saying that their kidneys are gone.
  11. I wanted to do very dirty things with Finola Hughes after seeing this movie. Still do, for that matter.
  12. I think the Baylor baseball program's time of death can be pinpointed to this moment:
  13. It is possible it was a McDonald's fry, but it was more likely a Whataburger fry. Still have no idea how long it was there as I don't hit up my local Whataburger as often as I used to.
  14. I was cleaning my car yesterday. I found a piece of a french fry under the driver's seat. I have no idea how long it was there.
  15. The Beer Can House is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to 5 in the afternoon. Children under 12 are admitted free. You will have to leave your sidearm at the hotel, though. https://www.orangeshow.org/beer-can-house
  16. I will probably be at one of them. Maybe both if work doesn't interfere. I guess I should see about buying some tickets.
  17. I've been looking at both a smart trainer and a peloton. While the peloton is obviously more expensive I am intrigued by the non-cycling workouts available. When looking at smart trainers, I've been eyeballing the Wahoo Kickr and going the Zwift route since biking is my primary hobby. What smart trainer do you have and how do you like Zwift?
  18. Maybe his replacement will think outside of the box and do something wild and crazy like have HEB actually open.
  19. There was just something about a Saturday night game on ESPN when the game was in Austin or Baton Rouge or wherever in Texas or the southeast that having Ron Franklin on the call made the game seem like a big game whether it actually was or not. I don't think any of the ESPN guys since have added to the game in the way Ron Franklin did in my opinion. RIP.
  20. Grab a bite to eat at the Tel-Wink Grill or at Dot Coffee Shop if old-school diners are your thing.
  21. Did a search and did not see this posted anywhere, but I guess past Tide qb Jay Barker took the loss hard. Jay Barker arrested after attempting to hit estranged wife with car According to Al.com, Evans filed for divorce from Barker in August and cited "inappropriate marital conduct" after they separated in April. The couple has been married for 12 years and it's the second marriage for both Evans and Barker. Barker, 49, is a longtime Birmingham radio host and sports talk personality. He was the quarterback for the Crimson Tide when Alabama won the national title in 1992 after going 13-0. Barker was 132-of-243 passing for 1,614 yards and seven touchdowns and nine interceptions that season. He finished fifth in the Heisman Trophy voting in 1994 after going 139-of-226 passing for 1,996 yards and 14 TDs and five interceptions. He was behind Rashaan Salaam, Ki-Jana Carter, Steve McNair and Kerry Collins in the voting and just ahead of Warren Sapp. Barker was taken in the fifth round of the 1995 NFL draft by the Green Bay Packers but never played in an NFL game. 22. Iowa and Wichita State sure are playing each other a lot in Texas this year. Right now both are also scheduled to be in the Kleberg Bank Classic at Whataburger Field February 26th-28th with island aggy and Pepperdine.
  23. I don't think you are allowed to claim the money given to strippers as educational expenses even though they are working their way through school.
