    Mr Gatti's

I think nearly ever end of season party for little league and soccer as a kid was held in the Mr. Gatti's where I grew up. This was the 80s and the Gatti's had a projection television that seemed like something from the future when I was a kid. It also had the most kick ass arcade room outside of the arcade at the mall. Much of my allowance was deposited into those games.
  2. I picked up a can of Spectracide Pro at Lowe's to deal with some wasps around my house. Seemed to work quite effectively.
  3. While I like Madonna's music just fine, something about "Ray Of Light" appeals to me more than the rest of her catalog.
  4. I'll just put this here instead of resurrecting the Masters thread. I don't know about beloved, but one hears the Masters theme and immediately thinks of Augusta. Also, in case you are wondering, Dave Loggins was related to Kenny Loggins. The two were second cousins. Dave Loggins, who wrote beloved Masters theme music, dies at 76 Also, in things I did not know before, there are lyrics to the Masters theme. CBS only ever plays the instrumental version. And it has an official title: "Augusta". Really going out on a limb with that song title.
  5. The Irish (not the Notre Dame Fighting Irish but real Irish in Ireland) can apparently build a bonfire stack over 200 feet high without it falling over. Some dude did a base jump off the stack. ‘World’s first base jump’ from controversial 200ft bonfire in Larne Surely if aggy finds out about this there will be a lawsuit or at least a strongly worded letter written.
  6. Again, SIAP, but this one reminds me of my dog I had to have put down a few years ago and still miss dearly.
  7. SIAP but every time I hear this song I can't help but think of my dog.
  8. When it comes to answering a question of what is the worst or what sucks the most, the answer is always the land thieves. Now, we do have 120+ years of having to put up with their stupid song. That would be hard for Rocky Top or any other monotonous, repetitive song to overcome.
  9. I believe the correct phrase is "clothing challenged".
  10. The kid from ALF was found dead the other day. Also found dead: his service dog. https://www.tmz.com/2024/07/10/alf-star-benji-gregory-dead-dies/
  11. Dildo Brewing Company in Dildo, NL is a real brewery in a real town. Dildo, NL should not be confused with South Dildo, NL. Also, just a short drive from Dildo is Spread Eagle, NL. I have always found the proximity of these two locations funny.
  12. When the SEC went to divisions in 1992 after pig and USCe joined, the conference assigned everyone a permanent rival in the other division for no other reason than to preserve the whole "Third Saturday In October" rivalry between Tennessee and Alabama. Well, also keeping Auburn-Georgia probably also played into the permanent rival decision. Because of that, we got LSU-Florida on a yearly basis, along with all of those scintillating Mississippi State-Kentucky and Ole Miss-Vanderbilt slobber-knockers.
  13. If history repeats itself as seems to happen, then Indianola is so screwed.
  14. Necro bump as Japan has declared victory in the effort to end government use of floppy disks. Japan declares victory in effort to end government use of floppy disks
  15. A confluence of the people who post on MGoBlog and the people who post on TexAgs would be something to behold.
  16. San Patricio county resident checking in. Just bought plywood to board up the windows in my house. Which will mean now that the hurricane will come nowhere near Texas. Or at least nowhere near the coastal bend.
  17. Been in the works for a while but according to this, filming begins in January in Scotland. Here's When Chad Stahelski's 'Highlander' Reboot Begins Filming in Scotland [Exclusive]
  18. When People Disappear In Yellowstone National Park, Some Are Never Found No one is exactly sure how many people have gone missing in Yellowstone but the number is at least 6 since the 1960s.
  19. For you baseball fans out there, Orlando Cepeda has gone to the great baseball diamond in the sky. Orlando Cepeda, Hall of Famer and 1967 NL MVP, dies at 86
  20. Normally I like Ryan McGee. But either he or an editor has a very liberal definition of legendary program. MCWS 2024 championship preview: What's at stake for two legendary programs At least Tennessee has that runner-up finish all the way back in 1951.
