  1. God, Bally's streaming is horrible. If you go to some other window (to check Surly or email), you have to refresh the page to start the stream again.
  2. They completed the Gemstone installation on Saturday. I think the orange looks a lot better in person (plus I might have darkened it a little since this picture, can't remember for sure). The programming options are insane
  3. Just got the call that they want to do the install next week. Pretty fast turnaround at a little under 2.5 weeks.
  4. You might look at Offroam.com. They have magsafe magnetic holders that mount into the air vents (without restricting air flow) and can charge at the same time. I don't think it's necessarily fast charge but it does charge.
  5. So I just got a quote from Gemstone. The quote was for 264 feet of lighting. The quoted rate is $28/ft but they gave me a discount to $24/ft lighting and track. Don't know why I would get it unless everyone gets it. All in the bid was about $6,800. The controller was $250, and when you exceed 200 linear feet, they require another transformer at $130. There was an additional $105 charge for all of the customization cuts in the track to fit our roofline (gables, dormer, some places gutters, etc). They said they are about 3-4 weeks out on installation so we could have it by the second week of December. I will update this thread as things develop. I'm in the Pflugerville area if that helps anyone.
  6. It's the knee and MRI is scheduled for tomorrow
  7. Any idea on when the tile will be delivered for installation? The packaging will have the lot # on it. You can then check with other suppliers (or even the same one) and see if they have the same lot. I would imagine that the lot runs are pretty massive, but that's just a WAG
  8. What if you just buy the flooring now and find another contractor after the current one is done. You should be able to find one that isn't the store.
  9. Talked to an escrow officer a couple of days ago and a good month for them now is 40% less than average (smaller satellite office). They've had a couple of months with 60-70% less. Obviously, no refi's to take up the slack. The parent company is looking at 20% layoffs across the board.
  10. I'm not saying it's a certain conflict of interest, but surely you can see where someone that controls 2/3s of the real estate transaction (lending and buying) could benefit from questionable practices to get a closing. Theoretically, you have a kind of checks and balances right now, where each side should be able to keep things on the up and up (even though things get screwed up all the time anyways).
  11. Just curious, but who will help with inspections and other issues that come with an offer? It seems like you might be opening yourself up to a conflict of interest accusation if the deal goes sideways and the buyers gets pissed, especially if something happens post-closing.
  12. Still can't believe that they would have to call for an ambulance. Hell, all high school games have a crew on location (I believe). I know the Texas Stars have an ambulance at all games for emergencies as the games have been delayed waiting for a replacement when a player was taken to the hospital with possible head injuries.
  13. Are we just skipping the ZJs? Isn't that like the sight breach of etiquette when one goes straight to the triple dog dare?
  14. I couldn't hear. What was the reason for giving them their timeout back and then reviewing it?
  15. Not that you've really done anything wrong, but the tax withholding was changed to put more money in people's pockets throughout the year to goose spending. It's very common for people to owe now unless you have extra withholding. Your income probably pushed you into a higher bracket, and when computed at the higher tax rate, your wife's withholding would have been short also.
  16. Pretty good series and it ran for 2 years. Supposedly, there are streaming platforms that have approached the runner about continuing the story.
  17. Maybe I should have specified. It was a sad day to learn that the wrestlers didn't really hate each other, Heel vs Face style
  18. My sister played softball with Bob "Mr. Pile Driver" Sweetan's daughter. He'd show up for games in clothes that would make a homeless man embarrassed. We went to the old City Coliseum several times to see the WCCW show. One match was Kamala vs. Andre the Giant. One threw the other into the ropes in the first few seconds of the match and the ropes broke. They had to finish the match with only the bottom rope still up. We were leaving and a car drove by with Ice Man and a couple of heels...a sad lesson to learn
  19. Didn't realize that movie was produced by Al Ruddy, the co-creator of Hogan's Heroes and producer of The Godfather and Million Dollar Baby. Quite the range there.
  20. Been an agent for 30 years and I can count on 2 hands the number of flip houses that I've seen that were done correctly (permits, licensed contractors etc) and that I would even consider buying. I try to prepare clients for the shit show that follows the inspections if I can't talk them out of it from the beginning. Probably less than 25% choose to move forward. You would think that the "professional" flippers would be better but that is not my experience. They've just learned where to cut the corners they can hide. Broad strokes and all, but that's been my experience
  21. Be careful with the lower rates or rebates associated with smart thermostats. Some require you to allow the provider to access the thermostat and they can regulate your settings without your knowledge.
