  1. The Shield Tv just got the Geforce Now upgraded service. So right now if you have a game you bought on Steam, Uplay, or Battle, you can play the game on their "super" servers, and it streams the games. I've been playing with it today. It works great. Since everything is moving to the cloud, this has to be the future of gaming. Buy a $100-200 box, and you pay a subsciption to play a few games. You don't have to fork out money for the latest greatest pc or console every few years..
  2. Been playing 1 or 2 on my Shield Tv(one of the free games), I've been enjoying it.
  3. Traffik (2018) - Wow. I can't believe this has a decent rating on IMDB and it was a true story. So much stupid in this movie.
  4. Nvidia just said they were making the Geforce Now from their PC and Mac Beta to include Shield TV also, so looking forward to that.. Although they sound like they are one of the more expensive companies going forward, charging per hour. Hopefully they will realize no one is going to pay to play by hour or how much they want to charge per hour...
  5. Funny.... I read up on all the current offerings, and it sounds like they are not 100%, so I am going to wait until next year. It is hard holding out though..
  6. Kodi. So, yes. One might have to try a few different sources. It may take you five minutes. You may find one with built in Subs. It is a trade off. How much do you want to see that certain item on a click of a button for 5 dollars, or can you go through waiting for a good stream to load for free.. I've also learned it depends on your streaming device. I just got a Shield Tv, and compared to my old Fire Tv's it is super quick pulling up a stream. It also depends on your Kodi addon. I've had more luck lately with Neptune Rising over Placenta... If you are on a Fire TV and just want to stream stuff. There are apps like Terrarium . Kodi is a media player, etc. bigger program. This might work better for you.. https://troypoint.com/install-terrarium-tv-on-fire-tv-or-fire-tv-stick/
  7. Ughh. I hate those calls. I was looking over my moms bill recently. She is paying $250 a month for Uverse. 2 tvs, phone, and 12mb internet. I first called, got an Indian. I couldn't understand what he was saying, so I asked to be escalated. Then I spoke to someone with a spanish accent, but better. I ended up in a shouting match. I got her $50 off(600 for the year) with more channels(she wanted the Halmark Movie channel ) and 100 mb internet. I was going for $100. I tried asking why I see $90 for all of this online and whether they value new customers more than her.. My mom is too nice, and was "ok" . I gave up and let my mom speak, as I got too livid..
  8. Per my email it states the change will take place on 7/28. I have my bill auto draft, so I'm not sure if that is my bill due date or the date of the change.. So, I suppose look at your bill after that...

SSR. Huh, so it doesn't look like they have gone up in price really. https://www.carfax.com/Used-Chevrolet-SSR_w161 It is a cool future looking/retro "truck".
  10. Thanks Billy. I ordered an i7. 16bg of Gskill ram and just a $140 dollar GTX 1040 graphics card for now. I will upgrade the video card later when prices come down. I think that is the best move. Thanks..
  11. Yeah, if you have the CD Key and the cd, or keep a downloaded version of the install file on a cd, then I would think you would not have a problem (if it is a digital version who knows if MS will have that hosted version down the road, so if so, I would make sure I have a copy of that file available to me and backed up when I need it. 13. It sounds like you got a good pc, so as far as Office... I office from home and MS Office is too expensive... Office. I use Open Office or Google Docs. They are both free alternatives. I have had nothing but success this these... https://sourceforge.net/projects/openofficeorg.mirror/ https://www.google.com/docs/about/ I mainly use google docs. The only time I use Open office is when someone sends me a .docx doc, then I use Open Office... Good luck..
  14. I saw it was Win 7. They have Win 10 for $110. I got mine when MS had free upgrade to 10. Anyway. They come with a year warranty. Mine is still running strong..
  15. I bought one a couple of years ago from Discount Electronics. It was $80 It has served my home office work computer purposes. They have a good return policy. https://www.discountelectronics.com/dell-optiplex-780-desktop-computer-windows-7-pro/ I got something like that 2 years ago.
  16. Yeah, I just read an article about all of these streaming companies now at a base rate of $40. They offered a service not as good as cable, but at a cheaper rate. Now they are working to offer the same thing at the same rate. I used to and still do use Kodi to watch tv shows. If they up the bill again. I will go back to not paying. It is not that big of a deal to wait 30 minutes for me to watch a show. ESPN now has a subscription. I just read on Troypoint.com there are a couple of services I could get for $10 a month to stream 400 channels using my android devices...
  17. It was May 13. I found a company. It was a mom and daughter. They were great, if anyone needs anyone let me know...

Great picture! I was just thinking about that red "truck" recently and couldn't remember what it was called. I wanted to see what the value of those had done since it was only made for a couple of years.
  20. I read that a couple of days ago (ATT). I am on their $35 GO Big from when they started. It is now going to be $40, still cheaper than regular price of $60. I did a comparison of all the plans. I am still getting all the channels I want for the same price or cheaper than other services. I don't watch all these channels, and I would be happy with their base plan (which would be the same price).
  21. I got a Shield TV. I used to be a big gamer when I was younger. I don't have a current console or PC. I hate the Shield Remote control. As far as games, ehhhh. I did some reading on streaming games after I just bought it. I just got the PS Now 7 day trial. It is a pretty good deal. I need a longer HDMI or USB(controller) cable for my MS Surface. I have a PS3 modded, so not too much I want to play. I'll probably cancel. I was looking at Liquid Sky and other streaming services. I may look into one of those.. I use the private torrent iptorrent. They have some pc games. I would like to have a service I can try out games, and play games I buy off steam. I need to get that longer cable, and I may try out those. I don't see myself becoming a hardcore gamer, so I am still debating on upgrading my home work pc for $700. I have done a lot of research, and it sounds like with the bitcoin downturn and Nvidias surplus, and a new card about to drop, the price of video cards may drop in the next month or 2. Instead of spending 300 on a console, it make sense to me to buy a PC that I can buy a VR headset in a year or so.... If anyone sees a good deal on a PC, let me know.
  22. Yeah, too much screen door, like when I bought a projector when HD just came out. Just a cool experience to check out at $30. I'm glad I didn't pay more. I look forward to getting a full on VR experience down the road though..
  23. I thought it would be interesting to see a blind poll of how Surly Horns might vote at this point if the election were today. We can run another one in Oct or November (or every month)to see what the change is.

    Dehydrating

The jerkey turned out great. It was previously frozen, vacuum packed, non warmed up brisket. Dry as fuck if what I was looking for and achieved. It was cut many ways. I didn't give a shit. Jerky is to be chewed over and over in my opinion. It is supposed to be chewey, as to enjoy the flavor. I tried to get as much of the bark on each piece as possible. I suppose y'all like the jerky from O"brians that you can swallow right away, like your boyfriends cum.
  25. It wasn't as good as the first season, but I enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to next season.
