  1. I agree on drama movies. Some new and newer series get my attention. I recall reading 20+ years ago that all the good movie themes have already been covered—many times in some cases, and so movie critics were predicting a bleak future for feature films. So we are getting the comic book stuff and more Tom Cruise movies.

Half your age plus 10 is a good rule of thumb.
  3. It's even worse--often times the ranch is high fenced. The owner even knows individual deer and gives them names/numbers. nnm is correct that it's farming and then harvesting. All of my friends that do it still call it hunting pretty much out of tradition or routine. They know it's different that a real hunt on either low fenced, or public, land (not much public land in Texas). And they are not "insecure little shitbags." I get it--surly hyperbole. Another thing, maybe they already do it, but the B&C records need to distinguish between farmed/harvested deer and deer taken on a low-fenced property.
  4. Trackman has a handicap system? The algorithm would seem to be a little optimistic.

I'm enjoying the show, but as others have said, it is way over the top. I'm not sure about the timeline, but in his first couple of weeks (days?) on the job, Pig Pen sees his fellow workers blown up/incinerated, another guy lose a hand, and he may have been beaten to death by some assholes that can't control their testosterone. And the lady lawyer was something else. Her slander threat was laughable . . . and it worked!

  7. That's me. I'll get a double once or twice a round from middle of the fairway and within 120 yds or less.
  8. This. Unless it’s really cold and windy, this is the best time of the year for golf. I love to walk.
  9. I made my annual 18 dozen this past weekend and it might be my last year. Pretty much takes up my whole weekend.
  10. Yep. As a fellow member of the bar, it's hard for me to wrap my head around it. It's time for me to leave this thread.
  11. Maybe my sarcasm meter is broken. You really are fine with murder?
  12. This. Although they may have identified him and we just don't know. The guy went to the Maryland equivalent of St. Mark's/St. John's/Kinkaid and was the valedictorian. Then he went to Penn. Hard to imagine those kids didn't recognize him, but a McDonald's employee identifies him in one visit.
  13. Or the NY state system for the NYC murder. I suspect he'll end up there. Sing Sing or Attica would not be pleasant.
  14. Why? Wouldn't that be a good thing? If you work for a health insurance company you must be evil.
  15. This. My wife knows to not be here when we are in a big game. She’s working out.
  16. I actually prefer Wolf Brand chili over my homemade tamales. I top with cheese and onions. But a good Tex-Mex gravy would work as well. And I’ve done a classic New Mexican red chile sauce and it works too. Hell, any sauce works with good tamales, or even no sauce at all.
  17. In the late 70’s and early 80’s “hose bag” was often used among every guy I knew to describe a slut. Hose Monster was interchangeable.
  18. Ags will say they should have win this game when we should have win it 38-0.
  19. Awesome. I wish my dad had picked up golf. Wasn’t in his nature. I’m 62 but still hit it pretty far. Then the short game disappoints. Again, crazy game.
  20. 79 today from the combo men’s/senior tees. With two doubles. But then I had a 91 on Wednesday. Crazy game. That’s why I’m a 9.3 index.
  21. Almost fell asleep during the first two hours. It was good once they arrived at the Emerald City. Performances were excellent and the music was good. Some of the dances were ridiculous and cringe worthy. My 33 and 30 year old daughters loved it as did my wife. My SILs (wisely) couldn’t make it.
  22. Four hours. This isn’t the club championship or the club member/guest. But it depends on the club and the usual time it takes to play a round. Some courses seem to play longer than four hours. Or maybe the players at that club are just slower. So my answer is that it should play like a normal round.
