Fox News is a public company. Murdochs own a minority. I don’t get the “preparing for sale” concept because it implies someone is buying it and taking it private, ala twitter.
They own 40% and control the Board so they can basically do anything they want.

2010s are clearly the worst other than the 2020s. 60s should be on the list as well although I agree that the 70s were probably the most interesting.
70s, 80s, 90s, 00s, 60s, 10s, 20s for me although the 90s and the 00s are very close and then it falls off a cliff in the 10s.

3 of top 4. 12 out of 16 making the cut. To say that it wasn’t impressive or to act like the they don’t belong or aren’t of major caliber is silly. Bryson isn’t healthy but if he was (if- not necessarily when) there is no way he’s not a top 25 guy in the world.
Don't worry. You will still be able to watch your LIV buddies on the CW next year when they aren't playing the majors. I'm not impressed by a group of 18 "world class players" that placed 4 guys in the Top 25 with 1 who was mentioned before the back 9 on Sunday when the tournament was over. Phil's performance was incredible, Brooks took advantage of his great weather draw (-10 through the first 27 holes and +2 the last 45) and Reed backdoored another Top 10 (his 4th in the last 6 years). I didn't see a shot by another LIV player other than Cam.

Was the LIV performance impressive? 4 guys in the Top 25 and 10 worse than 40th. There will definitely be fewer LIV guys in next year with the likes of Ancer, Gooch, Kokrak, Na, Niemann, Oosthuizen, Pereira, Pieters and Varner needing big finishes in the other majors this year. That leaves Phil (2), Reed (3), DJ (48), Koepka (2), Smith (34), Bubba (MC), Sergio (MC), Bryson (MC) and Schwartzel (50).

We gonna get an early start on CBS or we just going to miss the first 7 holes?
It looks like normal 3-7 based on CBS updates. Koepka/Rahm also not a featured group

Yeah, I don't think it was ever brand-loyalty to the LIV tour. I think it's more based on venues. Most pro-Trump folks I know watched the LIV events at Trump venues and then immediately tuned out back in favor of the PGA. And that's certainly understandable. I once went to a Florida Steak 'n Shake with Dan Quayle. Not because I liked him, but because he was buying.
It's like Russia in the World Cup. I won't watch Russia in 2026 if they somehow qualify for the World Cup. But I will absolutely fall off the wagon and beat the shit outta somebody from Russia I see in a bar cheering for them. It's not political, it's because I hate assholes.
What was your original user name? I can't quite place your insane fantastical ramblings.

I find 17 to be gimmicky for sure.
This event just has a lot of random winners. Nobody's game "sets up" well for the course. You'll have a guy win here then miss the next 3 cuts. Just a strange track to me, and even moreso now that it's in March and you get all kinds of strange weather.
The random winner criticism is overblown. There have only been a handful of true randos over the last 30 years (Tim Clark in 2010, Stephen Ames in 2006, Fred Funk in 2004 and Craig Perks in 2002). No different than any of the majors. (Willett, Schwartzel, Immelman, Weir) (Walker, Dufner, Yang, Micheel, Beem) (Woodland, Glover, Ogilvy, Campbell, Jones) (Hamilton, Curtis, Lawrie, Baker Finch).

It's hard for me to come to terms with going from being able to watch every game for free (unless it was an ESPN game) to having to pay $12-$15 /mo (ON TOP of whatever Apple TV+ costs) just to watch one sports team I follow. And it's not like I'm going to watch all 34 games every season.
Hopefully some illegal streamers pick up on it but I'm doubtful as there isn't that much of an audience.
They need to either lower the price or offer a one-team package for significantly less.
I hear you but I expect that the vast majority of the audience only really wants to watch one team. MLS must rely on the match going fan much more than any of the other major American sports leagues.

Exactly. You could easily spend most of your waking hours watching golf and golf content without watching LIV.

Tweedy really didn't miss from 1990 - 2005 which is a hell of a run. His solo writing clearly isn't at the same level as the work he produced with Jays but he still has some gems within the uneven records.

Yeah, the PGA Tour has responded with surprising effectiveness to the LIV threat.

LIV is awful. Glorified member-member. Half of these guys are probably drinking cocktails during their rounds. A 0.2 plus their dwindling attraction to PGA stars spell the beginning of the end.

The public company (Fox Corporation) is just a holding company for a bunch of subsidiaries that actually own the various Fox properties, including Fox News, Fox Business, the Fox Network, all of the Fox sports properties and a bunch of television stations around the country. The public company doesn't have to be sold or taken private to divest Fox News Network, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the public company that owns Fox News and Fox Business. Fox Corporation could enter into an agreement to sell Fox News Network, LLC tomorrow.
