It would be ok if you took the time to edit it down to one movie.
There is a fan edit out there that eliminates all of the bullshit. It is watchable.
It looks like the new series may be one episode if you remove all of the bullshit. It appears to be "inspired by the works of Tolkien" and not a faithful reproduction.
The guiding principle in Jackson's trilogy was ""We made a promise to ourselves at the beginning of the process that we weren't going to put any of our own politics, our own messages or our own themes into these movies. In a way, we were trying to make these films for him, not for ourselves."
Amazon clearly isn't following this approach.

Sure. Gregggg is going to develop a strategy to win WCQs in Azteca and San Jose. 7 points is our ceiling this window. 0 is our floor.

USMNT 2022
in Futbol
It's not difficult to envision a very stressful finish if you plot out some negative yet very possible results.
Canada 25 (@ Costa Rica; Jamaica; @ Panama)
USMNT 21 (@ Mexico; Panama; @ Costa Rica)
Mexico 21 (USA; @ Honduras; El Salvador)
Panama 17 (Honduras; @ USA; Canada)
Costa Rica 16 (Canada; @ El Sal; USMNT)
Matchday 12
Costa Rica 1 Canada 1 (This is arguably the most important non-USA game in the next cycle. CR really needs at least a point here.)
Mexico 2 USA 1 (Most likely result IMO. Draw is a great result for USA)
Panama 3 Honduras 0 (Most likely result IMO. Honduras is done)
Standings after Matchday 12
Canada 26
Mexico 24
USA 21
Panama 20
Costa Rica 17
Matchday 13
Canada 3 Jamaica 1 (Most likely result IMO. Jamaica is done.)
USA 1 Panama 1 (This is the most important game of the next cycle. A USA win clinches at least 4th.)
Mexico 2 Honduras 1 (Most likely result IMO)
Costa Rica 2 El Sal 1 (Most likely result IMO but it is at El Sal. Obviously a must win for CR)
Standings after Matchday 13
Canada 29 (CLINCHED TOP 3)
Mexico 27 (CLINCHED TOP 3)
USA 22
Panama 21
Costa Rica 20
Matchday 14
Panama 1 Canada 0 (Canada will already be through while Panama while be at home potentially playing for WC qualification)
Costa Rica 2 USA 1 (USA has never won here but we may need at least a draw)
Mexico 4 El Sal 1 (Very likely entirely irrelevant)
FINAL STANDINGS
Mexico 30
Canada 29
Panama 24
Costa Rica 23
USA 22

Lulz. I thought deadspin was dead but that is a throwback to classic deadspin. Self parody at its finest.

Well it's done now. It won't be an issue again since CONCACAF will get 6 bids going forward and qualifying will be a relatively meaningless formality in which every home game will be a pure cash grab by the USSF (i.e., Mexico vs. USMNT in Vegas).

Canada can score goals which makes them a threat to get a result in every match. They will eventually get overrun by a real team given their obvious limitations in MF and defense, but there is no reason they can't advance to the knockout round if they get a manageable group. Davies and David are the best players in CONCACAF and Larin and Buchanan are legitimate attacking/scoring options.
The USMNT has more talent across the board but the glaring lack of quality option at the 9 is a massive issue.
As for the game, Zimmerman has earned the opportunity the start in the next qualifier, Acosta and DLT made big statements for both spots on the plane to Qatar and more PT, Weah is a locked-in starter at RW and Morris isn't the answer at LW (either as a starter or reserve).

I would say that if his issues with Miami ownership are accurate, then he probably believed Ross was going to poison the well amongst other owners which would keep him from getting another head coaching job any time soon.
Ross is a supposedly a joke in the league and no one would trust his opinion on football matters.

We got lucky with the weather in Columbus (30 and no wind had little if any impact) but Minneapolis is currently tracking for 0 degrees with 15 mph winds at kickoff.

Canada is more than happy to cede possession and let us turn the ball over in the final third. We have no 9 and no one who can unlock a defense with a killer pass.
Turner was a 1 out of 10. Awful distribution and weak effort on the goal. Really shit performance from him.
We always suck in the first half which really speak to greggg’s inability to gameplan.

My friends that went there said it was pass fail and no one fails unless they don't show up for a final. They don't have grades or GPAs. You can get a high pass. Seems like same thing your graphic illustrates.
You can't tell much from a Yale resume. I have seen plenty. Other than they got into Yale.
And that whole Yale thing . . .

Sean Payton was also a first time head coach now that I think about it.
The NFL is such a grind that you kind of want a relatively fresh coach

How big is no coaching experience to you? If he has it, was available and was canned(maybe multiple times) doesn’t that tell you he’s not a good coach?
I’m all for the Vikings not getting any sort of a retreadExactly. Prior experience means nothing.
I believe that Zac Taylor, Shanahan, McVay, LaFleur, Kingsbury, Harbaugh, McDermott, Reich, Vrabel and Tomlin are all in their first HC job.

I didn't watch the game too closely because I got stuck working during the game but I came across some interesting stats after the game.
Pulisic was 0-10 in duels during the 1st half. Almost unfathomably bad performance. 11 yanks podcast said that he was playing inside all game on top of Jesus who was playing as a false 9. As a result, there was no space which made things easier for El Sal's blocks of 4.
The xG was basically 3-0 so the performance wasn't as bad as some commentators are making it out to be.
Gregggg is clearly under pressure to play MLS guys. Morris and Zardes as the subs instead of DLT and Pepi is questionable at best.
USSF was very lucky this game wasn't played 24 hours earlier when it was under 10 degrees and windy instead of the relatively balmy 30 and calm last night. The weather could be a negative factor for us in Minnesota.

Good lineup and lllllettgett isn't on the bench.
32 and cloudy right now in Columbus which is the warmest it has been in a few days. It was 5 this morning at 830 so big improvement.

Amazon evidently doesn't have the rights to anything relating to the 2nd age other than the appendices to LOTR. Sounds like we are heading towards Star Wars sequel and last season of GoT territory.
The lack of rights provides some justification to all of the shit in the trailers that is nowhere to be found in Tolkien's work (i.e., they have almost no source material or characters to work from due to the limited rights they own), but this is unquestionably a story inspired by Tolkien not an adaptation.
