  1. Entitled and soft players attending an entitled and soft university located in an entitled and soft city.

That said, Mack was as entitled and soft as they come and he made it work.  Just need nationally elite QB play.

Bryson is top 20 in strokes gained putting.

Third best on the team after English and Xander.  If that is suspect putting, we are fucked.  Morikawa can't putt but he will put it closer to the pin than anyone else in the world.

  3. The starting lineup and formation were incredibly bizarre and further evidence of just how out of his depth Greggg is at this level.  Starts 4 CBs, benches Antonee Robinson and moves Adams to wingback.  Then we still don't track a runner and let a ball bounce in our box on the Honduras goal.  How the fuck does that happen?  Usually when the players have no idea what their role and defensive responsibilities are.  Completely inept.  I am a bit surprised Greggg acknowledged his stupidity at HT by reverting to a more customary lineup and formation.  Regardless of the ultimate result, Greggg should be fired today for his player selection and formation.  They both reveal absolute incompetence.  This guy has zero idea what he is doing and this cycle is a waste of time with him at the helm.

Going forward, Greggg needs to keep it simple with both his formation and player selections.  It doesn't matter if you call it a 4-2-3-1 or a 4-3-3 but Adams and one of Acosta and McKennie need to play the double pivot or 6/8 with Reyna as the 10.  Pulisic should start on the left opposite Aaronson with Pepi up front.  Dest and Robinson are the FBs with Yedlin filling in until Dest returns.  Robinson and Brooks should be the CBs.  GK is the hardest decision.  Subs should come from whoever doesn't start from McKennie/Acosta plus Lletget, Konrad, Weah and Hoppe.  Sargent shouldn't even be in the 23 at this point much less starting on the wing. Imagine concluding that Sargent is a superior option to Aaronson on the wing in a must win game.

Brooks/Berger know each other from FSU but not sure of their relationship. They may win for hottest GF team though.

Good point.  Brooks-Berger and Scheffler-English isn't much different.

  5. Bryson-Morikawa should be the third pairing.  They are the best driver and iron player in the world, respectively, by a country mile and you might as well pair those advantages together. The difference in strokes gained off the tee between Bryson and 2nd on the list is the same as between 2nd and 18th. The difference in strokes gained approach the green between Morikawa and 2nd on the list is the same as between 2nd and 17th.

English's strength is his short game and I would pair him with Brooks.

DJ-Finau is fine, which would leave Scheffler-Berger who are kind of a poor man's Bryson-Morikawa.

    For Friday foursomes, I would play Jordan-JT, Xander-Cantlay, Bryson-Morikawa and DJ-Finau.

  6. It could be interesting if Stroud struggles.  Dude has never thrown a pass in college and his first start is on the road in a Big 10 game.  Not the easiest start.

The Buckeye D wasn't great last year against the pass and they lost quite a bit, include all their starting LBs.

That said, the Buckeyes have ridiculous talent and depth at the skill positions.  MN will need to be at least +2 in TOs to keep it close in 2H as the OSU O vs. the MN D is a huge mismatch on paper.

OSU last lost to MN in 2000 and last lost to MN in MN in 1981.

Big upset this morning - Japan lost at home to Oman. There is a lot of games to play, but it's big.

Huge upset.  The entire Oman roster plays in Oman except one dude who plays in Qatar.

  8. Automatic Qualifiers: Morikawa, DJ, Bryson, Koepka, JT, Cantlay

    Guaranteed Captain Picks: Spieth, Xander

That leaves a bubble of 4.

I think Finau makes it.  7th in Ryder Cup points, 9th in OWGR, recent big win and passable Ryder Cup/President's Cup record (only 2 losses in 7 matches).

English is probably next in line given his OWGR and Ryder Cup rankings (11 and 10, respectively) and two 2021 wins.

Reed's illness provides a great excuse to leave him out and the rest of the dudes are tough to separate.

    2016: Did not make tournament

    2017: 3rd round!!

    2018: 1st round exit

2019: 1st round exit (CDC gives Kelly a 3 year extension)

    2020: Did not make tournament

    2021: TBD

2011 1st round exit (0-3 loss as 4 seed to unseeded opposition)

    2010 Did not make tournament

    2009 Did not make tournament

    2008 1st round exit (0-2 loss to UNC-Charlotte)

Her extension in 2019 was a worse decision than the Herman extension.  Arguably CDC's worst decision at Texas

Oh and if it's a numbers game, not sure you want to call yourself a winner but the number of abortions performed each year far exceed war, COVID flu and anything else. The numbers are staggering honestly. I felt slimy enough looking them up much less posting them.

The U.S. and the world at large would significantly benefit if we increased abortion levels tenfold.

  11. Almost all national politicians (with a few exceptions like Ron Paul, Barbara Lee and Bernie) love war.  Supporting endless war is our most notable source of bipartisanship.

  12. The Afghanistan conflict (and the Iraq wars for that matter) achieved exactly what they were intended to.  Preserving and enriching the military-industrial complex beyond its wildest dreams.  It was a stunning success for those traitors who are now either worm food or relaxing in their beachfront compound in Naples while the world burns.

You have to wonder where we would be today without hanging chads.  Meanwhile, W is now almost celebrated by corporate media as a goofy amateur painter who sneaks candy to his buddy Michelle O at events involving the past Presidents.

I certainly wouldn't write City off after one match but I'm not sure why anyone things they're gonna run away with the title. Aguero, while unreliable in terms of injury record, was at least a recognized #9. Without him, they currently have no one who can play striker, or at least play it well. Jesus is either going to be sold or will be a locker room cancer. KdB has had a lot of injury problems the last few years and I don't think Grealish really adds anything to their team. Foden and Mahrez are both better players, though Foden is always hurt and Mahrez can't seem to get in Pep's good graces long enough to cement a starting role.

Again, it's early but City looks about the fourth or fifth best team in the league to my eyes. If they sign a #9 it could all change quickly but I'm not sure that they'll score enough goals to challenge for the title.

Their status as a clear favorite is somewhat predicated on Kane joining.  He solves all of their issues and no one can match their strength in depth.  Injuries and fatigue are coming for everyone and they are best equipped to manage through those issues.  Also no AFCON exposure and limited CONMEBOL quarantine concerns.

Title race may be on if they have to play a false 9 all season.  That said, they ran away with the league last season while scoring the most goals despite Aguero only playing in 12 games and scoring 4 goals.

Tell us more about Harry Kane.

Sure.  Kane scored as many goals in his second least prolific EPL season as Lukaku did in his second most prolific EPL season.
