  1. England is going to regret not hiring a competent manager.  What is the point of playing Phillips and Rice against freaking Scotland?  Rice is more than enough at DM with Mount and Grealish in front of him.  Sancho needs to replace Foden immediately.  Dude has done nothing since hitting the post against Croatia.  Trippier and Chilwell should be starting at RB and LB, respectively.  Rashford, who is hurt, is a LW and should only play LW particularly when Shaw is playing LB.  A big part of Kane's problem is not enough creativity in MF, too much selfishness on the wings and poor service from the FBs.

    Rashford-------Kane------Sancho

    --------Grealish------Mount------

    ----------------Rice--------------

    Chilwell-------------------Trippier

    ----------Mings--Stones---------

    -------------Pickford---------------

The two pussified beta males edging past each other in a hallway like they're radioactive is what does it to me.

Haha.  It is so absurd it almost comes off as satire

I really enjoy when a national team completes a generational turnover.  Italy it seems has done that.

Bonucci and Chiellini are the only dudes on the roster with more than 50 caps

  4. Some awful defending from Turkey and Switzerland today.

Reminds me of youth club soccer tournament games between teams that shouldn't be in the same bracket.

I am betting on Minny for that

It would definitely be "on brand" for the USSF to ignore/destroy one of the USMNT's only traditions.  The closure of Crew Stadium and the loss in 2018 qualifying provides excuses.

What is another USMNT tradition (other than not qualifying for the Olympics and hiring overmatched American coaches who inexplicably start a slow veteran fullback in important games)?

  6. Agree that Austin makes some sense for a qualifier.  USSF wants to reward cities for investing in MLS and building soccer specific stadiums.  That said, Canada is the one game that the US will have a home field advantage for regardless of the location so they may want to play it elsewhere and save Austin for a different opponent (Panama makes a lot of sense).

Hopefully, the USSF puts Mexico in the new Columbus stadium.

  7. HT Thoughts

    1.  Berhalter should be fired immediately after the game.  Completely exposed with his formation and defensive selections.

    2.  McKenzie had one of the worst 1Hs I have ever seen.  He has a looooong way to go at this level.

    3.  Sargent is not good enough.  Late runs and weak on the dribble.  We aren't doing shit with him as our 9.

    4.  Mexico isn't going to let Puli beat them.

    5.  Steffen needs to leave Man City this summer.  He needs games badly

  8. All of the quality is extremely young and inexperienced, particularly in playing against the cheating Mexican/central American style.  Half of the Honduran team would have picked up two yellows if the game was officiated by Euro officials.  It's very difficult to adjust to a style of play that is not permitted where you play.

It's like going from the NBA to a game on the yard at San Quentin.  The US federation needs to stop being such pussies and start threatening to suspend all CONCACAF competitions in the US unless significant improvements are made to officiating.

We get to see Lewandowski and Haaland both in a major tournament.

    No Haaland.

Group C is what unnecessary tournament expansion yields

I'd root for Al-Qaeda if they were playing the Mancs.

So you clearly root for City in the Manchester Derby then
