  1. The struggles in the short passing game have been surprising. You know he is working on that constantly
  2. We have successfully avoided a QB controversy
  3. The jealousy of these bitter old cunts will never cease to amuse me
  4. I can’t imagine the money won’t be making a big effort to retain as much of the OL as possible for Arch. Ohio State retained a bunch of guys with early draft projections by throwing the money around. Why would we be any different?
  5. Brooks was a national recruit wanted by everyone and Mills wasn’t far behind. As for DL, only aggy could attempt to downplay what will likely be the number 1 EDGE class in the country complemented by several DTs who are Top 250 players.
  6. MO also only plays 2 ranked teams while LSU, Ole Miss and TN only play 3. Texas has arguably the easiest SEC schedule but it’s close to 5 other teams in the conference, including aggy.
  7. In addition, 5 of the other unranked SEC teams play 5 ranked SEC teams and the other 2 (Auburn and KY) play 3 ranked SEC teams on the road and only 1 at home. aggy has the easiest schedule of the bottom half of the SEC and it’s not particularly close.
  8. That’s kind of the point. They would have the easiest SEC schedule if Texas sucked instead of aggy.
  9. There are 8 ranked teams in the SEC (GA, AL, TX, MISS, OK, TN, MO, LSU). Aggy is the only unranked team to play only 3 ranked teams (TX, LSU, MO) and gets them all at home (so does LSU). LSU, MISS, and TN also play only 3 ranked SEC teams. TX only plays 2 ranked SEC teams.
  10. Michigan’s rpongetti also needs to keep his day job.
  11. They are? Other than Benny, none of the depth pieces have experience outside of pure garbage time and special teams and none were elite recruits.
  12. Bedford makes a great point about Michigan’s lack of depth this year on D. It was one of their greatest strengths last season and no longer exists.
  13. Their media has to provide some explanation for how they will move the ball and this is the most viable one they have developed. I’m more interested in the Texas O vs. Michigan D. Michigan also lost a ton on this side of the ball including the entire defensive staff and 7 starters plus the guy they thought was going to replace their nickel back.
  14. Coker and Switzer had Top-5 all time rosters.
  15. Michigan had 34-148-4.4 on the ground against a Fresno State defense that ranked 97th in the country last year against the run. JJ, Corum and the entire OL are gone (top 6 guys by snap count).
  16. Michigan basically returns its TE, two DL and star CB. The Michigan fan base is dramatically underestimating the impact of losing the entire offense, the HC, the DC, the DL coach, the special teams coordinator and Conor Stallions plus the two top tacklers, 3 of 5 primary DL, and two starting DBs. Has any national champion returned less than Michigan? This is not the same program much less the same team. I’ve seen a few comparisons to 2006 Texas-Ohio State, but Texas brought so much more back in 2006 than Michigan did this year. A one score game until deep into the 4th quarter against Fresno State in which Fresno State’s WRs were regularly open bodes very well for Texas. 34 yards receiving by Michigan WRs against Fresno State after a starting DB was ejected on the first drive bodes very well for Texas. Juicy appears to be expecting a repeat of the Fresno State game. I’m expecting a reasonable middle ground between the first two games. Texas in the 30s and Michigan between 15 and 24.
  17. Michigan should be a good warm up for aggy
  18. Interesting that the cheaters are starting Zwick against Fresno
