United-Arsenal final would be amazing.

It's very interesting to see the fan fic bois ascribed a certain level of evil to an entire organization that while known for continently making stupid decisions have never been involved in anything sinister compared to writing off the possibility that Watson is entirely at fault for being a sexual predator.
Given what we have seen in America the past few years, the most likely scenario is that Watson likes butt stuff with strangers and thought because of his wealth, power, and privilege all these encounters were 100% consensual.
The leap from making/approving bad football decisions and hires to coordinating sexual assault allegations against the most valuable asset of your business is dramatic.

We talk about this on the pod with literally initial reactions without knowing any details at all except for some type of allegation.
All of us immediately thought fuckery was afoot. Now that there are 9, I am leaning towards this is definitely true, but the Texans are also behind it - people that think billionaires won't destroy people just because they can are really really naive. Especially when it has to do with disrespect. This is a clean way to ruin someone without legal ramification or moral ramification.
If it ever came to light that the Texans facilitated these claims in any way (regardless of their veracity), they would immediately become the ultimate pariah in professional sports and current ownership would be forced to sell the team at a discount.

I find the Texans conspiracy theory far more credible than a scenario in which a professional athlete is a sexual predator.

But they also have the improvisational side which they pioneered, fusing jazz with rock years before Miles Davis fused rock with jazz, and some of their songs are launching points into that other realm.
In a Silent Way was recorded in February 1969 which is more or less contemporaneous with the recording of Live/Dead.

We just had a President who very obviously suffered from dementia and nobody in the media gave a shit.
Pence would have tanked their ratings.

The 74 show at the Jai-Alai Fronton has some great jams. I thought the versions of To Lay Me Down and Ship of Fools are as good or better than any I’ve ever heard.
Couldn't agree more.

Imagine being disappointed in the Committee's findings, like DD is.

Great to see Jordan playing well. I was concerned we would never see it again. Masters could be very interesting.

Should have brought back Chutch instead

C lister who found a way to move to the A list and then realized the path she chose involved a bunch of shit she had no interest in. She coordinated a way out and is now exactly where she wants to be. Living the A list life in SoCal without any of the dreary day-to-day responsibilities of the royal family. All she has to worry about now is Harry throwing himself off a cliff.

Your loss. That disqualifies you from being able to comment intelligently on an acid rock band. THE acid rock band. (Probably goes for Pink Floyd too, right? They were Britain’s version of the Dead.)
You are seriously ruining the thread. You should consider taking some acid to clean out the pipes and come back with a better attitude. Your dismissive and condescending tone is extremely bizarre for a freaking dead thread.

Excuse me, sir, I chose City way way way before the money. @alincoln and other old timers will confirm.
Confirmed. Huck supported City back in the Kevin Keegan days.

Plenty of diehard deadheads don't like Space, Seastones, some of the dissonant, aimless Dark Stars that are certainly out there or the 29 minute lovelights. Some of the psychedelic jamming was the product of some guys who should have been staring at a lava lamp instead of trying to play their instruments while some is absolutely inspirational.
For example, the 10/26/89 Miami Dark Star receives quite a bit of praise (likely as a result of being the longest late era star) despite being unlistenable. For an example of peak era jamming that I struggle to enjoy, see the 3.28.73 Star.

Texas will eventually shelve the song because the pressure applied by the wokesters will be unrelenting regardless of the conclusions set forth in the report and the dubious claims regarding the racist origins of the song.
Through scholarship befitting a university professor, Dr. Gordon decided that The Eyes is racist and used his influence among Texas athletes to encourage the aggressive pursuit of the cancellation of the song. Their unquestioning "allies" in the media and university (truly the "simps" in this scenario) have used their positions and influence to parrot Gordon's claims without deigning to investigate their veracity. The piling on has yielded the assumption that "The Eyes is racist."
A&M and Oklahoma wouldn't be in this position because they would have immediately refuted the claims relating to the song as bullshit. Texas unsurprisingly took a very different approach and now finds itself in the crosshairs of the woke mob. I'm not advocating for Texas to adopt an A&M mentality regarding these issues, but the cancel culture playbook is well worn at this point and Texas' more considered approach to evaluating the issue was naive is retrospect.

Maybe just don't have a stupid fucking all star game.
That would be hilarious. Name the All-Star Game MVP after Kobe and then immediately cancel the All-Star Game.

12/19/73, 2/13/70 and 10/11/77 were the finalists for DiP 1. Latvala considered 9/21/72 in his initial evaluation but didn't want to cut it to 2 discs.
