The key to the game is TCU's OL vs. OSU's DL. OSU's DL is deep and loaded with NFL talent but their back-7, while also talented, is vulnerable.
There will also be 50,000 Buckeye fans at the game.

Is it? How often has OU been down in the last 15-20 years? It's maddening since we should be peers in the college landscape but we aren't.
How often have they been down in the last 50 years? Really only from 92-99.
Meanwhile, we have had 11 seasons with 6 wins or less wins since 1985. The national media loves to criticize the Texas fanbase as entitled, but no fanbase of an "elite" program has had to deal with more awful seasons than Texas over the last 35 years. It's ridiculous. Many of the elite programs also only experienced one prolonged shitfest or their shit seasons were complete outliers. Texas has only avoided shit during the Mack Brown era. 86, 88, 89, 91, 92, 93, 97, 10, 14, 15, 16. All complete shit shows.

I mean, the guys been fired from most of the non stand up gigs he’s ever had, so.....
Thats not a value judgement, it’s just a fact.
Of course, he was fired from his SNL gig for destroying OJ on every Weekend Update which pissed off OJ's good friend Don Ohlmeyer. Norm basically threw away his best gig by refusing to stop publicly defending a woman abused by a celebrity.

Feel like I have watched that US-Mexico game 10 times. Mexico dominates the first half, gets frustrated and does something stupid and the US nicks a winner.
USA now 17-12-12 since 1990.

Any pairings predictions?
Spieth/Reed; Woods/DeChambeau; Watson/Simpson; and Johnson/Koepka appear very likely. Fowler and Mickelson have played together in multiple Ryder Cups (10 and 16) and Finau and Thomas are rookies. Fowler and JT are buddies but there is something intriguing about a Finau/JT pairing.
On the Euro side, Rose/Stenson seems like the only lock given the 5 rookies and Ryder Cup layoffs for Casey and Molinari. McIlroy has played with both Poulter and Garcia in the past but I can see the vets being broken up to provide some experience to the other pairings. Of course, Bjorn may just say fuck it and throw Rose/Stenson and McIlroy/Poulter out there every time.

The 73-74 PNW box set is fantastic from the presentation to the era to the sound quality.

Nice. One of my favorite shows. I just received the box set over the weekend.

Are you on the spectrum? If you can’t figure out the program I’m referring to, I’m not quite sure how you manage to dress yourself.
No fans of the "tigers" give a shit about Texas

Mack would have been Bowden if OU hadn't hired Stoops. A lot of those 10 win seasons would have been 11 or 12 win seasons and he would have had many more conference titles.

DJ will be tapping that within the month

Honestly, how was this not a part of the list of shit to do when they initially conceived of this farce to save Urban Meyer's job in the first place? The list should have included paying Smith off with a signed gag order, paying Courtney Smith off with the same, hiring a private investigator to dig deeply into McMurphy, and then having a sit down with him afterwards, with an offer to shut up or the info would be fed publicly through someone like Snook. That's basic corporate corruption strategy when a cover-up needs to happen.
Given the amateur hour appearance of this stuff, I assume there's a bigger division in the rank and file of the power regime at OSU than we believe. Mary Jo White is not an amateur. I don't know what in the fuck is going on up there, but there's more to this ineptitude than we think.
I assume that OSU concluded that paying off Smith in connection with his termination for domestic violence would have looked worse than him making a fool of himself on twitter.
Hiring a PI to dig for info on McMurphy is a non-starter for a public institution in the FOIA world. Even through surrogates, the risk of leaks is too significant.
Courtney Smith probably isn't interested in signing an NDA at this point.
The bottom line is that Meyer, his program and much of tOSU leadership believe that Courtney Smith is at least as culpable as Zach Smith. The entire saga is comprehensible through that lens, misguided as their conclusion may be.

Best group stage in years.

What are the chances Texas and Ohio State actually play in 2025-2026? 1%?
"Texas' Herman ID'd as Smith's strip club partner" -- What a headline

No expense reports were submitted for scrip club visit. Smith spent $600 of his own money.

You can't question OSU's engagement of Debevoise/Mary Jo White to lead the investigation and the Committee itself includes very accomplished leaders. This isn't a PSU situation with a complete clown like Lubrano involved.

After he was hired at Texas, Herman approached several members of the Ohio State staff he had relationships with. I was informed at the time by people who would know that Smith was included in this group. In retrospect, I probably shouldn't have posted anything since I can't support my post by disclosing the sources of the information.
In any event, take it or leave it as you see fit.

The Texas job is always listed as one of the top 3 jobs in the country and is usually number one. Ohio State is considered a top-10 job and is arguably top-5.
The resilience of the Texas brand is stunning given that Texas has only been in the national elite for one 6 year stretch in the past 35 years (2004 - 2009).

I expect United to sack Mou and hire Zidane during the first international break (September 3). Immediately resolves the Pogba and Martial issues, improves the style of play and eliminates the negativity.
Mourinho is his own worst enemy and lost his leverage once France won the World Cup.

The great irony of this thread is that Smith turned a position at Texas down when offered to him by Herman who was well aware of his relationship issues.
The same Herman who hired Casey Horny.
