  1. There's a connection from his time at Bama and Sark is the hottest name in college QB coaching right now
  2. I really don't give a fuck about Carrington leaving, at all. This obsession our fanbase has with certain coaches because they stand out on a staff of mediocrity is unhealthy.
  3. My take is accuracy can only be judged in a real life game situation with a pass rush (not 7v7 BS), and Murphy doesn't have enough HS experience to come to a conclusion yet. I agree with @Burt Macklin that what I saw in the limited highlights of his Soph season (not game film) doesn't lend itself to being an accurate passer, he's got a big inconsistent windup and bad footwork. He also doesn't seem very elusive or quick in the pocket, once he gets going he looks pretty fast for his size though. Klubnik displays the ability to throw WRs open and has demonstrated accuracy at the highest level of TX HS football competition (67% completion last season, 35 TDs to 3 ints). He's elusive enough in the pocket to extend plays and keeps his eyes down the field in the process. He doesn't have a big NFL caliber arm, but he can make all the throws he'll need to at the next level.
  4. Another example of a question that could be asked in this thread is "how do you spell the first name of that Murphy QB Texas is recruiting" Answer: Maalik
  5. What's the big deal? She's clearly just tucking his shirt in.
  6. Maalik appears to have elite raw talent, and I'll be very happy if that's who we end up with. I think the limitations that Klubnik has are more of a problem at the pro level than college.
  7. Murphy's big edge on Klubnik seems to be arm strength, which imo is an overrated skill for cfb QBs. I value accuracy and decision making much higher. It's hard to glean much on those 2 aspects from Murphy since he didn't play this season.
  8. Not really, especially if whoever loses out between Thompson/Card hits the portal.
  9. If we can't flip Ewers I'm taking Kubs over Maalik at this point. Kubs has demonstrated he is an accurate passer in real life game situations against elite HS competition, Maalik unfortunately didn't get that opportunity this season.
  10. Meh, let's see him get past the first weekend of the tourney and then we can talk.
  11. Meh I don't think CDC has handled his shit very well here but if Hughes is indeed going NFL that indicates he's not worth the trouble, I doubt Hughes is the only person Sark knows who can implement what is needed.
  12. @Trey3216 amazing, thanks for sharing that
  13. This is what stands out to me about him, maybe a similar running style as JC when he showed up on campus?

  16. The May '77 run of shows is so epic. Everyone knows about the 5/8/77 show, I've been listening to 5/22/77 (Dick's Picks 3) this afternoon (again) and it's easily as good. The entire show is fire - Sugaree, Help>Slip>Frank, and then the finish is just ridiculous - Estimated Prophet>Eyes>Wharf Rat>Terrapin Station>Morning Dew. Jerry was out of his mind this night

    Deftones

Deftones was my favorite band in most of high school. We drove up from Rockport to see them at the Austin Music Hall July 2000 between jr/sr year of HS and just had a blast. The concert melted our fucking faces off, one of my friends almost passed out and had to get pulled over the front railing. What an amazing introduction to Austin that was for us. They hold up so well, I still listen to them frequently. Great workout music.
  18. Man I fucking love Scarlet Fire, everything about it but especially the jam into Fire
  19. There isn't one "perfect" song in my opinion, hell I think Petty has written and recorded at least half a dozen songs that I would consider "perfect". If I had to pick one today it might be Swingin' Guy is another one that has written multiple songs that I consider perfect. For my money it doesn't get any better than Anyhow I Love You - a salty "love" song recorded with Emmylou and Waylon. Hungry Eyes by Merle is perfect because you can feel his life story in the lyrics The Grateful Dead would probably disagree that any of their song performances were "perfect", but I think they have a quite few, Wharf Rat is one, haunting I haven't seen any hip hop mentioned yet so I have to add one, the first song from Nas debut album with DJ Premier producing, it just feels so real and raw.
  20. Imagine putting this much thought and energy into defending Chuckles Strong
