Per this ESPN article Scherzer has ruled out Houston as a trade destination, first time I've seen that.

Not having our shit together with NIL is the most infuriating unforced error, this should be a huge fucking advantage for us and instead it's a negative. FUCK!
This is some self defeatist BS and I'm glad the people in charge of this decision don't have this mindset. Texas has more resources than anyone in the nation, the game just changed completely with NIL, and in order to maximize our resources we need to be in the premier college football conference. Saban can't coach forever, we are playing the long game.
Texas got a two day head-start on you, which is more than it needs. Texas has friends in every town and village from here to the Sonoran. It speaks a dozen languages and knows every local custom. Texas will blend in, disappear and you'll never see it again. With any luck Texas got the grail already.
I understand you are upset and I get it, but this just isn't going to be true anymore with NIL. NIL will completely change the game, and I'm glad to see Texas for once being proactive about navigating the rapidly changing CFB landscape.
Not letting players use burnt orange for NIL has to be one of the most ridiculous shoot yourself in the dick examples of a "smart" guy outsmarting himself that I've ever read about.
