So looks like one company was suing for tariff refunds in the Court of International Trade and the judge ruled that CBP needs to refund everyone's tariffs.
So, I'm in the new gerrymandered TX-32 district that took parts of Dallas, Richardson, Plano and Garland and stretched the district all the way east to Gilmer to include Rockwall, Rains, Wood, Camp and Upshur counties. Looks like the R candidates will be going into a runoff with the guy backed by Peter Thiel leading the way. He's a Longhorn, so who knows him? Texas congressional candidate with extremist views backed by hard-right donors
HHS defines childcare as affordable if it's no more than 7% of household income. National average annual childcare cost for 2 kids is $28K, hence the $400K income number. That $28K is an average number, so there are lots of people paying less either because they're in lower cost of living areas or they have lower "quality" care options or they're relying on friends and family, which is fine. But there are probably also lots of people who are having to sacrifice other things, like saving for a home or retirement or buying insurance, to cover childcare.
For @HookEm and others not following this day to day, you should really read what the judge said here. Just another example of how current policy is treating immigrants in fundamentally different (and dangerously illegal) way.
Nice job, that Chron article caught the attention of our friends at TexAgs and even they think this is a terrible idea. https://texags.com/forums/16/topics/3596551
You mean Switzerland? Seemed like the US made it a lot harder than it needed to be in that extra end. Why not just knock out every stone the other team threw? Maybe @TexasHooch can explain it
