  1. Yeah I’m pretty sure it was a drawn-up play. Sark reacted like he was thinking “it worked!” So great.
  2. I’m nearly 100% sure that was a rehearsed play. If you watch carefully, you can see Hayden snap his right hand shut to draw that dude offside. My guess is it was timed to the hard count. Anyway, Hayden intended to draw him off and that’s why he was so quick to react.
  3. On the 3rd or 4th down play late in the game on which we drew Bama offside, Conner started his set with his right hand sitting on his knee, open. But before the snap, he snapped his hand shut before and drew the DL across from him offside.
  4. And Conner had the smartest play of the game, squeezing his hand to draw Bama offside late. Absolutely a genius play.
  5. Look, crypto mining is far from perfect. But it’s the only market-based solution to a problem caused by relying on the free market for energy. It would be extremely wasteful to over-invest in power plants that are only needed during extreme weather events that happen only very rarely. Like the 100-year ice storms we have every two years. Or summer.

That’s like asking if switching to vodka will help you overcome your tolerance for whiskey.
  7. Some people claim that there’s a woman to blame.
  8. An AI tell. Robots can’t ever get the hands right.
  9. He needs to do an episode about that god-awful Mopac wall. It might be the jankiest piece of shit ever built by human hands.
  10. Nebraska 0 - Minnesota 3 at halftime. Is this 2023 or 1923?
  11. Indeed. ESPN is one of the very few reasons I have a cable TV subscription. If Spectrum can’t fix this shit fast, I’m out.
  12. Florida man on CNN just reported he’ll be able to weather the storm because they’ve got “a few sandbags and some Elmer’s glue out there.”
  13. Yeah, it’s disappointing. Usually, weird celibates who claim to speak on behalf of god are reasonable people.
  14. I saw a WWII documentary once where a group of POWs thought they had been infiltrated by a German spy, so Col. Hogan startled the guy awake by yelling—in German—that there was a fire. When he reacted without skipping a beat, they knew they had him.
  15. I’m out on my back deck, reading a book and not melting. This little cool front was a nice surprise.
  16. I don’t get why y’all are so excited about her. From what I’ve seen, she doesn’t look that hot. But honestly, I think the Prime Minister of Estonia is blurry. That’s the problem.
  17. If only you had supported me in explaining to the numbskulls on Hornfans that Jesus is fake, maybe we could have averted this Christofascist moment altogether.
  18. I love Massachusetts, but the weather is depressing most of the year. That said, we recently visited and I was reminded how dedicated the state is to providing public resources. Between public transportation, public park space (on what would be nearly priceless real estate), public health services, investment in public education, etc., Massachusetts just kicks Texas’s every-man-for-himself Ayn Randian ass in that regard. It’s awesome and a completely different mentality. An idea that what’s good for the community is good for everyone, and worth investing in. And it creates a sense that everyone has a voice and a role to play in society.
  19. I haven’t been paying close attention. Is there reason to believe Prigozin wasn’t dead long before he stepped on that plane?
