  1. Mack Brown has exactly one talent in life, and that’s salesmanship. He’s an elite bullshit artist and can recruit enough talent to (mostly) overcome his complete inability to coach football. He’s also a narcissist who would burn a program to the ground rather than watch another coach succeed in his place, imo.
  2. Sounds like he understands exactly what it is, tbh. Edit: h/t to @BehoId, The Underminer! for beating me to the punch.
  3. I’m 100% in favor of imprisoning people who badmouth judges.
  4. “If Kamala Harris wins, I guess I just won’t be giving @Guadaloopy his FSD after all.”
  5. TIL that Mars is literally covered in toxic dust. Even if we could somehow build an atmosphere there, it would be overwhelmed with toxic dust and gas. Mars is extremely cold. It has negligible water and atmosphere. Its soil is toxic to all earthly life. It has no magnetosphere. It gets far less sunlight and has far lower gravity compared to Earth. As far as we know, it contains no life and maybe never has. Mars will never be a realistic bugout destination for mankind. No matter how bad we fuck up this planet, it will always be far cheaper and far more feasible to fix the problems on Earth than flee to Mars.
  6. Q: What is even better than replacing skilled jobs with robots? A: Replacing skilled jobs with robots that drain our energy resources and accelerate the climate crisis.
  7. Exactly. It was a night game with an incredible comeback and ending. And CU hasn’t had much to celebrate since 2001. That kind of pure joy is what makes this sport so unique and fun to watch. It’s the antithesis of the sterile NFL. I love it.
  8. There was a clear pocket on the recovered fumble. Sanders didn’t step up into it.
  9. How the fuck is that not PI on Baylor there? But still, gotta catch that.
  10. Line judge robbed CU of 3 yards in that spot. Unreal.
  11. Sanders has no feel for the pocket.
  12. They do. It’s such a weird dynamic. Those who most loudly attack trans rights keep getting caught looking at trans porn. Alex Jones is one famous example. The world would be a much better place if these dipshits would grow up, admit they have a kink, realize literally no one gives a shit, and stop acting like Nazi assholes to an entire class of people they feel guilty about finding attractive. Which, to be fair, it sounds like this Robinson dude tried to do at least some of that at one point.
  13. No, he sucked. Nealon was a huge improvement and then Norm took that role to another level. Miller was always a pompous hack.
  14. Yep. Both traveled all the way from unfunny hack comic to loathsome has-been.
  15. According to r/union, the president ran some rigged straw polls at times when younger members were unlikely to attend.
  16. Of course he is, because he’s an impulsive idiot who knows nothing about economics. So he inevitably proposed dumb shit that will lease to But specifically: the 2020 stimulus was a significant contributor to the 2022 inflationary spike. That includes the $1,200 checks Trump had his name printed on and attached to a letter bearing his signature. And of course, he signed the CARES Act that authorized the stimulus payments. Tl;dr: Trump’s fingerprints are all over government spending that contributed to the recent inflation that everyone blames Biden for.
  17. Interesting. Would be good to see a rigorous study showing a consistent right-wing shift in polls since 2020, and in particular one that differentiates between elections with and without abortion issues directly on the ballot.
  18. I wouldn’t recommend starting with “shut up,” but the latter part of your proposed approach to seducing women might work.
  19. It’s possible polls have adjusted or some phenomenon in the past four years has shifted their bias to the right. But the safest assumption would be that the 2024 polls will have just about the same correlation to 2024 results as the 2020 polls had to 2020 results. In this particular case, that implies that Harris is in just about the same position in Missouri that Biden was in 2020.
  20. I feel like the more useful comparison is polls now vs polls on the eve of the election in 2020. Apples to apples.
