  1. I mean its sports, this is what fans do, speculate about bs, and becasue CFB is its playoff is an invitational based on the subjective rankings of human beings, it's always going to be this way. It's like common opponent narratives, no proof whatsoever that because Miami beat Florida and that Florida beat Texas that Miami would beat Texas but Cristobal is already out there with that narrative.
  2. BTW what ever happened to statsman? Shouldn't he be telling us that a sellout isn't really a sellout and that literally nobody will watch on tv?
  3. Lol re Baylor, and to an extent Kansas. AZST has been a disappointment and that was a bad loss. I'm talking more about the top part of the league. BYU played Tech, Utah, Arizona, and Cincy (when they were playing well). I'm just saying, aggy loses more than one against Tech, BYU, Utah, Zona, and maybe even UH. ISU and TCU could also compete against them.
  4. Wow, looks like we got a hell of a bargain on Morris. Terms are $3.8M per and $100K raises each year. Don't see what his buyout would be for us if he doesn't work out or if there are any incentives. By contrast, word was that Arky wanted Morris first and are paying Silverfield $6.7M per. Is it possible we found a coach who'se not only a good fit but also is willing to take less compensation to allocate towards player compensation? Maybe he's willing to take less at a place that should be easier to win than at Arky which would be a smart move? I'm really looking forward to next season. I think bowl eligibility should be possible if not likely in year 1, especially if he brings his QB and RB. https://www.si.com/college/arkansas/football/new-hogs-coach-ryan-silverfield-contract-details-including-buyout
  5. Yeah, they've got uniforms and everything. It's really great.
  6. The extra CFP games should more than offset CCG's going away financially. Just award the conference trophy based on regular season records and tiebreakers. This year would be Bama, tOSU, Tech, and UVA. It's not like the CCG makes it any more "undisputed" because unequal conference scheduling and tiebreakers make even the participants in those games questionable. Ole Miss and aggy are tied at the top of the SEC and are sitting home because of the conference SOS tiebreaker, something they have no control over. (Edit: Also just realized that the second spot in the ACC title game is a five way tie which Duke won also because of conference SOS which again, the others have no control over.) The first weekend in December could be the two highest ranked G5 champs for the last spot. This year it would be UNT v. JMU. Maybe move Army Navy to this weekend too (I think it used to be this weekend until CCG's became a thing). I think the NCAA and the networks should also push for more interest and attention to the FCS playoffs which start this weekend as well. JMO.
  7. Are mullets popular in Pennsyltucky? Just curious.
  8. Lol wut? The SEC and Big XII are in agreement against those auto bids and are for 5+11. Everyone knows the SEC doesn’t need 4 autobids, they’ll always get more than 3 additional at large spots. Only the Big 10 wants those autobids because they are never very deep. https://sports.yahoo.com/college-football/breaking-news/article/college-football-playoffs-future-format-still-up-in-the-air-as-power-conference-leaders-mull-new-working-group-204003809.html
  9. Aggy would have had multiple losses if they played BYU’s Big XII schedule, or any regular Big XII schedule that actually includes programs in the top half of the league.
  10. Is Pete going to run in 2028? MAGA will love this testimony about their badass Secretary of War.
  11. Michael Levitt =
  12. Yup, the "NFL is scripted" people are literally insane. If that were true, the Cowboys would have made the Super Bowl or the last NFC Championship Game at some point over the last 30 fucking years. I'm honestly surprised people outside of us who grew up on it and can't let it go still care.
  13. I can't imagine "the fanbase" would truly support that hire. I'm a big fan of Doug Meacham and how he handled this season as interim but I'd be pissed if he were handed the HC job at OSU, especially if it was because we struck out on multiple other options. I understand Smith won some games whereas Meach did not so there's some difference there but how do you go from firing Franklin a few months after a CFP appearance, strike out on multiple sitting head coaches and coordinators, and be happy with hiring the interim who from what I understand has never even been a coordinator?
  14. We have nuclear power plants for ai, let them do the selection, and let chat gpt do the talking. They’d do better than the old heads they keep putting on camera to spew nonsense.
  15. Do they still have 2010 on the wall as a "conference championship" when it was a three way tie for the south division with OU and OKST and OU won the tiebreaker and played Neby for the actual conference championship? That one was by far the worst.
  16. That’s going to be pretty common going forward. With mega conference scheduling there just won’t be as many losses in conference. I mean, SEC ended the year with four one loss teams. Add in that 2 loss BIG/SEC now = 1 loss XII/ACC it’s just how it’s gonna be. Also and probably more important, the “11 win” metric is dumb. For decades teams played 10 games or less. Until pretty recently 11 games were the norm so yeah an 11 win team would mean undefeated and surely top 10.
  17. Bro should smuggle in 400 tons of cocaine first, make some scratch, and follow pardon precedent.
  18. Well I’m glad we didn’t hire Klein only to have his alma mater open up a week later. His name was still high on the list of prospects early last week, I wonder if this just came together or if it was known earlier?
  19. So did PSU pass on Stein and Hartline or the other way around? Is the AD a bigger mess that LSU etc behind closed doors? Is still a top tier program by just about any metric. Maybe they really are looking at NFL people?
  20. So the dumb bitch didn’t even cite book and verse for her reactions, just “tHe bIbBEL SAIS Mens iS MeNs AnD GirLs Is gIrLS EGGO deFiNE wOmEn.” I mean I could see it being a legitimate paper if she delved into the text with quotes, citations, and third party interpretations to support her own views, but she’d also need to acknowledge contradictions within the Bible itself and varying interpretations if she was going to be intellectually honest and seeking a real grade. The teacher may not like the opinions but at least it would be a legitimate exercise of academia. But nope, it was just a setup by MAGA Mom Attorney at Law. Fuck this country and its voters.
  21. I suspect Theo makes good money, sugar daddy can surely take care of him too if necessary, since he’s the one who set them up, lol.
  22. Can you imagine the shenanigans he and Lane could get into in South Louisiana? It would be an awesome comedy series for Amazon Prime. Like the coaches side of Blue Mountain State.
  23. If Tulane doesn’t hire Coach O what are we even doing anymore?
  24. They’ll hire someone from the NFL and say it was the plan all along and why it took so long.
  25. Agree. Seeding is fair game. And once Bama ended up first in the SEC standings winning the four way tiebreaker on conference strength of schedule it was enough to put them in the field and guarantee them a spot. If they lose to UGA it’s a perfect reason to swap them with ND to avoid the rematches. And aggy gets to show its true ass when bama blows them out.
