  1. What’s happening is directly affecting my life in really terrible ways. Unsurprised that many feel unaffected and don’t give a shit.
  2. No one’s complaining about the forward pass. They moved the pat back because it was too automatic (and still is for the most part) and are still complaining that kickoffs are soaring into the stands. I think the drop kick is cool and requires more skill and would be more interesting.
  3. Not a model for football but should a consideration for all non football sports. Maybe even align each sport differently. UCLA v Rutgers in softball is dumb as hell. At least football has a financial justification.
  4. Damn what year is this, is it 2005 again?
  5. I tuned in because of this comment and the dude scored, haha. Looked pretty smooth too.
  6. He's a cunt, fuck him.
  7. My 7 year old son knows the memes, I fully expect this one by the end of the year.
  8. I think they should do away with tee's and holders, all kickoffs, field goals, and extra points should be drop kicks like the old days.
  9. Oh damn, a 3-6 team vs a 5-4 team late in the season got put in a shit network and drew shit ratings? No wai. Should probably just shut down the conference lol.
  10. Can you imagine being 32 and in the market for a sequined "GILF" shirt?
  11. Not even worth discussing anymore, not sure what their obsession is with hyperbole, but whatever.
  12. This fucking cuntstain has Americans rooting against their own country in favor of Canada in hockey. I'm one of them. Fucking everything has to be divisive with this fuck. Like renaming a fucking body of water knowing that it just riles people up for no other fucking reason whatsoever. When the nation collapses we'll deserve it, half of the voters wanted this, fuck them, and fuck you if you enjoy this or still think "both sides are the same." Eat shit, for real.
  13. Something like that. Jenny Carlson kinda had it coming though, it really was a bs article.
  14. Mediocrity plus the rise of the football program. When I was in school (2000-2004) basketball was king and football was a side gig. The All Sports pass got you into all sports including football but basketball was a significant extra cost. I think it's reverse now. Football got good just as basketball got bad, I think that's the primary culprit. Travis Ford put the nail in the coffin when he couldn't do shit with Marcus Smart on the roster for two years. Attendance wasn't bad during Cade Cunningham's year so it can come back if we can ever see some extended success. The Thunder certainly are a factor but even if all OSU fans in OKC were committed only to the Thunder there are enough fans in Tulsa to fill GIA if we could get in the top 25 routinely and make tournament runs.
  15. If Lutz doesn't work out he can take the Sutton reitrement tour in Stillwater (minus the booze).
  16. Is Quaid still alive?
  17. Oh hell yeah, totally in on opening day.
  18. Sounds like a good way to become an elected official in Texas, which office is he gonna pursue?
  19. Fucking clown show. It's gonna get to a point where casual fans won't know whose playing for what in any given weekend. Win and advance is easy to comprehend. Not so much "the top two teams of the conference have received a bye and the next four teams will be seeded 3-6 and will play for a chance to receive an automatic bid to the playoffs but the losers can still receive one of the 3 at large spots if they can convince the committee that their loss was close or that they had a strong out of conference schedule, then once the playoff teams are selected, the seeding will be based on where each ended up in their repsective conference standing and tie breakers will be determined by who Kirk Herbstreit thinks is best using the eye test but can be overturned if Paul Finebaum speaks louder or if his callers agree with him . . . . . . . . . . .
  20. With respect to ratings and broadcasts I think college baseball is a good example. It’s not very popular ratings wise for reasons I can’t explain. I love it and ESPN+ is the best thing that’s ever happened for college baseball, softball too. I watch both way more than MLB and NBA. There’s room for all of it in the streaming environment.
  21. I’d add that conference championship games are going to continue to be a problem. If you go to 16 that makes up the revenue from the CCGs. Award the conference trophy based on tiebreakers.
  22. It’s so goddamned simple to me. It’s always been an “invitational” and is unavoidable the way CFB conferences are set up. If it’s 16 the 5 highest ranked champs are in and just seed them straight up like CBB. If it’s 12 the 4 highest rated champs get a bye and seed the “play in” contenders (including the 5th highest ranked conference champ), then reseed for the second round and go from there. And no need to reserve spots for conferences, BIG and SEC will always get the majority of spots which is fine. Stop overthinking this shit.
