  1. I agree with the first part but not the second. Consuming child pornography is heinous and should be punished more harshly imo. We overly imprison people for drugs and petty crimes even some gun crimes and underpunish sex crimes including against children. As for Billy Badass over there it’s pretty clear it’s just “empathy is bad” in his world and a criminal is a criminal is a criminal. There’s so much at play from case to case. It’s not like people are either prone to commit robbery or not, a lot of it is out of desperation based on really bad circumstances, or as others have pointed out, addiction issues, which can be remedied. Some people are just bad, some are hopeless, but it’s insane to just lump them all together and say fuck it for those who can be helped. Even if the success rate is low it’s a worthy endeavor.
  2. I say trade to help the defense and try to win now. We’ll never be in full tank mode and this is the best the offense has looked in a long time. I’d be happy to eat crow about Schotty if it gets Dak and co. some real success. Wish we had gotten more future picks for Micah to use in trade but I also don’t think he’d make that big of a difference in this shitty defense.
  3. There are dozens of qualified coordinators and assisstants at any given time. More than usual are going to get HC jobs this cycle and many fanbases will be disappointed that they didn't get a "big name" like a sitting HC from another program, but I don't think the success rate of the group of hires this season will be any less than any other cycle on average. Some will succeed, some will fail.
  4. No QB sneak? Really? What the hell? Idiots overthinking shit again.
  5. Damn I couldn’t watch but what a fucking game for Shohei. Wish I could have seen it live.
  6. Oh cool. It’s totally legal now to be a criminal if you vote republican. Said directly. But everyone calm down lol.
  7. If they waste HEB Mixlas they should be fined and imprisoned.
  8. People will definitely die this weekend. In oklahoma its legal to mow down protesters with a car (leftists only obv). It might even be from gunfire by the US military but even that won’t change a single persons vote.
  9. I’m pretty sure that all the rule required. But now that there’s attention to it they’ll do it all game, because again, everyone has to be an asshole these days.
  10. I’m sure it’ll happen again this weekend. It’s homecoming so attendance should be a little better but not nearly full. I’m sure 231 can be vacated for only the shirtless dudes. We managed a late TD and I thought it was cool to see the players celebrating. I also like that Coach Meacham thought it was a fraternity and turned out started by a guy in his 40s haha.
  11. They can do it just not when the fucking game is being played.
  12. Tulsa has used a script since sometime in the 1970s. Growing up I remember Texas A&I having a script helmet too.
  13. Why the ever living fuck do they need to be throwing shit on the field during gametime? Oh yeah, it's 2025, and being a complete asshole about literally everything is considered a virtue.
  14. Burr’s response calling out the critics as sanctimonious and that they couldn’t point out SA on a map was worse imo and way more harmful than the appearance. If he had stuck to the defense that he thought it was a good thing to make an audience in a place like that laugh and to meet new people and learn about the day to day culture he’d have an easier time imo getting past this, but man he really shat on a lot of people in the process for having valid criticisms, and is a really bad look.
  15. I really liked Burr's F is for Family series on Netflix.
  16. Well, when all the legit professors bail, at least there's a farm system nearby. https://www.uaustin.org/
  17. Even worse in my opinion is when they try to discuss serious topics. Just complete and absolute morons on that stuff. They fall for every lie, every conspiracy theory, and talk about them with legitimacy. I've seen clips of someone off screen having to correct Rogan by pointing out that he's discussing a hoax or something and sometimes he keeps going. And that's only verified hoaxes, he still falls for all the bullshit lies and conspiracy theories that are out there and treat them with legitimacy, but so does half the fucking country, hence, his popularity.
  18. Good move. He's old enough that he can retire an IU legend in a few years even if they fall off a bit which I don't see happening anyway.
  19. I said I could be wrong, lets see how it plays out this offseason and next. And for the record, the conversation starts with the money and has to be at least 90% of the conversation. Tech isn't in the running for a lot of those guys without the money. Again, I feel I always have to be clear that it's not a criticism. It's okay to recognize that Tech and SMU are only succeeding at their current level because they have money to pay players really well in the new system.
  20. I think Nate Bartgatze is the top of the list currently. He has pretty broad appeal and hasn't stepped into the political muck. His clean style can't be easy to pull off but he does it pretty good. Not the top of my list just saying in general. Gillis sells out arenas so is up there for sure. I personally don't see Burr being harmed too bad long term but who knows these days. I'll still watch him even though I'm disappointed inthe Saudi show. I agree that Rogan and his circle sucks for the comedy in general based on his popularity. But I don't blame the podcast medium in general. There's a lot of good comedy podcasts out there, it just sucks that this country overwhelmingly got drawn to Rogan and his douche-sphere. That speaks more to the audience than the genre though imo [insert CR rant].
  21. Does UT have to announce if they sign or can they just say yes directly to the administration and hope and pray that it doesn't blow up into a story? The latter seems unlikely but who knows. I don't see them having the guts to say no especially with Hotwheels breathing down their necks.
  22. Yeah, I think their biggest advantage is that they can keep more of their freshman recruits for all 3-4 years. If they are starting, getting paid, and have a realistic shot at a championship, why transfer? Tech and SMU et al. are going to lose those players even if they can match or slightly exceed the blueblood money offer for the sole reason that the blueblood can also make a better pitch about a legit shot at a national title.
  23. My thoughts on this have nothing to with OSU’s current enshitification. I actually have some confidence we’ll settle back into competitiveness soon enough. I just recognize the general ceiling that exists for mid tier P4 programs.
