I’ve changed my mind on this, runner fucked up. Considering the situation, runners should know the out field was shallow and any catch would be a quick toss back to the infield.
I’ve seen that call multiple times, it’s rare but not out of the blue. The fact that it didn’t bounce back is all it takes. I’ve seen players then try to play it and it’s easy to dislosge and I’ve seen where it’s not so easy. The player doesn’t know. That’s why it’s a fucking rule. At every level of baseball. It’s the least controversial call that can possibly exist. It’s a double. Sports fans drive me crazy sometimes, already seen more than one post about how Toronto was “screwed.” No, they weren’t.
I’m also not mad at the base runner at the end. The whole stadium thought it was dropping. And even still it was a split second or he’s safe. Just a great play by Kike and Rojas.
I didn’t look at the third year thing but there’s still no evidence he can sustain success. Also three years to turn around Nebraska? Man they really are now permanently among the class of mid programs.
My wife’s uncle works in the industry there and they live in Mystic. I find that area quite charming. Easy train rides into NYC and Boston. That region is on our list of escape plans.
The cities stopped doing landrun reenactments a while back. My family moved to a Tulsa suburb on the mid 90s and it never happened while I was in school and I never even heard of them until I was full grown. Probably still happens in the sticks tough. I’m sorta surprised they haven’t mandated them back into existence but to be honest the new wave of racist shit is more direct than landrun reenactments. I do like that the show is honest about the good people around here and the complexities of history. What a damn cliffhanger though.
Because the republican strategy for the last several decades (accellerated in recent years) is to break shit and blame the democrats. It works so they'll keep doing it again and again.
Am I the only one concerned that Big Pharma apparently has enough money, power, and influence to actually intimidate this administration? I can't think of any other person/country/industry that has successfully gotten these dipshits to actually backtrack.
Yeah I don't get why Rhule is still considered a hot commodity. He has 3 ten win seasons, two at Temple, one at Baylor. He has ten years in college, half of which have been .500 or less. This isn't even considering his dogshit NFL tenure. I'm surprised Nebraska wasn't looking to join this year's cycle to be honest. Man, the Nebraska standard has really fallen.
Something that is driving me crazy is the medias reluctance to use the L word. Just say he lied, because that’s what happened.
“Health Secretary Admits he Lied About Tylenol as Cause of Autism.”
That’s the fucking headline, assholes.
