  1. So Harris with a democratic Congress will finally cut off his socialist gravy train? Yet another reason to vote blue, shut this cunt up forever already.
  2. Elmo will have that quashed within the hour, cause free speech.
  3. Don't know shit about Bartlesville. I haven't been but Barron's in downtown opened recently and got a rare 5 star review from the Tulsa World. Mexican I'd suggest TXMZ (Tacos Y Mezcal) at 18th and Boston or 918 Maples by the Church Studio (weird name but owned by very nice Mexican family). Maple Ridge Grocer and Bishop Quigleys are two new neighborhood joints also near 18th and Boston right by my kid's school. Hemingway's is indeed super fancy but Bull in the Alley is still the best steak in town, imo at that price point. Lofi is a new pizza joint, small and loud (spinning music is the theme), pizza is awesome and its the best old fashioned in town (same owners and recipe from Hodges Bend which sadly burned down last year). Bohemia Pizza downtown is a favorite. Always a fan of Nola's and my favorite is still their original Kilkenny's. That's all I really got, I don't eat out as much as I used to, and when I do I go to the same places. Elgin Park, Marshall, and Solera are my most frequent stops.
  4. Or that losing family to the maga cult makes him very relatable to many people in this country. I'm 100% certain that either the brother disowned him for being a librul, or refused to stop making it an issue every time they spoke causing the strain in the relationship (this is where I am currently with my mother). That old lady definitely harassed Black folk for sitting at a lunch counter back in her day, maybe even just last week.
  5. I think most true magas will either throw the municipal ballot away because they don't see the party line and have no idea who the people are, or because Van Norman already told them that both are dirty libruls. I think moderate republicans and low information voters who remember her as a newscaster and might have come across her name during her the last 16 years she served as a county commissioner will put her over the top. I know Karen personally and like her, I think she'd do a great job administering municipal government they way it should be administered, but I like Monroe too although I don't know him personally, and the significance of electing Tulsa's first Black mayor is important. After the Tulsa World endorsed Monroe and I started seeing my contemporaries all in for him, I took a calculated risk and voted for Karen in the primary thinking that she needed it more than Monroe to get Van Norman out of the way. Looks like I was right but by the narrowest of margins. I don't know who I'll vote for in November yet. Some of Monroe's more vocal supporters are rubbing me the wrong way a little trying to portray Karen as maga (she's very moderate but has taken decidedly democratic stances when it becomes relevant, including being vocally opposed to the covid trump rally) but I know better than to hold stuff like that against him personally. I do think she'll win by a decent margin from the middle and yeah, maybe some maga racists who hate her, but hate his skin tone more. Either way, we're going to get a good mayor who will treat the job in the nonpartisan way it was intended.
  6. I mean why not just go back to Biden’s last poll. “Setting aside the bump since the change in candidate we have her at 40%.” There seriously has to me more to it than his simplistic explanation.
  7. Is he seriously saying that if Harris moved up let’s say 2% after the convention that he’s just taking that out as if those respondents didn’t actually respond favorable to Harris? What the actual fuck? There has to be more to it than that, bumps are a big part of polling, whether they can be sustained is determined later based on subsequent campaigning.
  8. Meant to add that the asshole is asking for a recount delaying certification and ballot printing for weeks. I read that a city recount has never changed the final by more than a dozen votes. A friend of mine lost a city council race a few years ago by I think ten votes. He asked for a recount and turned out he lost by six. You ain’t finding 400 votes in a recount dumbass. Also, the Bradford guy who got 823 votes also campaigned as a republican, if he didn’t run his votes might have gone to Van Norman and put him in the runoff, lol.
  9. Discussed above and not quite as close, but Tulsa’s mayor primary locked out a maga republican (Van Norman) by 438 votes. it was one of the worst turnouts ever, 26% of registered voters. City elections are non partisan but voter registration is easy to find and Van Norman was sure to make a big deal about how the other two were Hugo Chavez leftists (Nichols is pretty liberal, Keith is moderate life long dem). This primary result is significant because the runoff will be during the presidential election that would have brought way more magas to the poll, but now they have two dems to choose from, lol. Even if there was a maga on the ballot the city ballot doesn’t have straight line party option and the Trump only morons would have no idea who was who on a nonpartisan ballot. I wish all elections did the open primary and runoff system.
  10. The part I don’t get is why they have to go so over the top with their made up bullshit. Here’s a real one, and even if it were fake, it’s normal and believable. No need to slob the knob over every fucking little detail that you weirdos revere.
  11. From back in the day when proximity mattered and schools 180 miles apart played regularly.
  12. After which RJ Young will have no choice but to rank them outside the top 10, probably No. 11.
  13. It almost seems as though the SEC with its more popular brands should be paid significantly more per school that the Big XII. Someone should look into that.
  14. I thought it was because the Pac still had contracts through next season that they possibly had some rights to compensation from which is why they aren't disbanding the conference just yet? I think they'll ultimately join MWC. I don't think they should try to keep the PAC name or transfer it to MWC, the PAC at this point is known less for 100 years of history but for incompetent and arrogant leadership that caused it to implode. Not to mention that with only two original brands, the PAC name has no real meaning anymore. The MWC is known as being one of the best G5 conferences and has been for a long time.
  15. Exactly. If someone clicks on Ollie Gordon’s name when giving to the collective and he gets more out of the collective as a result, he’s making money on his name, like everyone else, and it’s completely legal. They’ll all end up doing random radio spots or take a photo at the grocery store if the rule still requires “services” outside of performing the task (playing football) that makes them famous and draws millions of dollars to the school. I’ll bet that in a couple of years boosters handing bags of cash to their favorite players will be legal too, just report and pay tax.
  16. Geez, calm your tits about the qr code. It's just a link to the NIL collective. McAfee made it sound like you could "tip" players directly and Gundy played along, but that's not how it works. There's a place you can "credit" a player for a donation and just below that appears the message that it goes to the general fund for general distribution. Surely if Ollie Gordon gets "credited" with a few hundred thousand dollars and the backup punter gets $10 that is taken into consideration come distribution time or in determining who appears in the local Chevy dealership commercial, but these expressly are not direct payments to players' bank accounts. And even if it were, who gives a shit, this is how it works now. Your backup QB gets seven figures because of his last name. Nobody cares anymore. They generate the wealth, people are willing to pay, players make money, that's the new landscape. Also, the NCAA didn't shut down the QR code program or the NIL collective, it just said it couldn't be on the helmet because of it's interpretation of a uniform regulation about advertising. It's still all over the place and links to the same page.
  17. His kids aren’t white so he’s just helping to poison the blood. Put it on a billboard in Pennsyltucky.
  18. Paying players through NIL collectives sounds shady? LOL, welcome to 2024, JFC.
  19. Yes it goes through the collective but you can designate a player.
  20. NCAA has a history of fucking us in recent years. Some say it goes back to when our pitcher Andrew Oliver sued them over a decision and won a motion resulting in a settlement. Nevertheless the actual sticker on the helmet was never the draw but the attention it generated. Nobody was gonna be scanning it off the helmet from the stands or tv screen. It’s posted all over the stadium, campus, and in local bars and restaurants. I can see some guys getting hammered at Eskimo Joes, discussing the most recent games, and getting drunk enough to scan it and pay some players for big plays.
  21. ND looks bad. This aggy d gave up a running td to Gunnar Gundy in the bowl game ffs.
  22. Do they draw straws about who gets to wear the Canadian mounty hats? Is that like king of the cosplay?
