  1. He only ever bitched and complained about it and it is known that he was on the bad side of several donors because of some of his public statements and refusal to engage in fundraising efforts. If we make the right hire I think there will finally be alignment and funding will open up.
  2. I recall from this history books such things as Military Coups and Juntas. It's time mother fuckers. What an absolute embarassing display from this administration. Just fucking pathetic. And not a word in Daily Texan, because criticizing calls for military targeting of American citizens on American soil and disregarding international rules of engagement is just too CR for them to handle in their safe space. Fuck everything.
  3. If he's smart he'll go into television. He's be good at it and people would tune in to listen. His ego may want to coach again but I can't think of any P4 program that would want him for the reasons stated, he's proven he can't and won't do NIL the right way and will only complain. I'm not sure his ego could handle G5 or FCS.
  4. Arky is just gonna hire Petrino, right? I mean they let him back on campus already, all is forgiven it seems.
  5. Holy shit, he seriously told a room full of top military officials to ignore rules of engagement? Is he referring to war crimes? My god, when will someone from within the "Grand" party stand up to these fucking maniacs! How can anyone vote for this? My brain, I just cannot comprehend what is happening right now.
  6. Literally declaring "war" on U.S. cities and authorizing "necessary force" (i.e., shooting U.S. civilians) should very much be unusually controversial.
  7. I remember when one Walton heir bought a basketball arena . . . for Mizzou . . . and named it after their daughter . . . who attended USC . . . and then got caught cheating. Still brings the lulz.
  8. Those Romo defenses were exactly what so many say about Dak and Romo. Feast on bad teams during the season and fold when it matters. Those defenses were dogshit in the playoffs. All of our defenses since '95 have been dogshit in the playoffs.
  9. My only shred of hope in this timeline is that this was called because military brass had said out loud that they’re getting sick of this shit and that this makes them double down ready to refuse orders and turn on him when he officially declares martial law and orders open fire on US civilians. Yeah I know that’s stupid, I just can’t imagine someone devoting their entire life to the military and just capitulating to these no serving disrespectful pieces of human garbage.
  10. This is exactly why they should refuse to negotiate and let it shut down. Until you can act like fucking adults you own this fucking shit.
  11. They should also say they won’t negotiate until the fucking president, his minions, and his congress act like civilized human beings. The fucking grade school rhetoric is tiring and why would anyone they keep mocking agree to assist in a single fucking thing? Who cares at this point, shut it the fuck down already.
  12. Just saw that Lashlee played at Arky, but I just don't see how that situation is better than SMU right now. Bigger stadium and crowds seems to be the sole advantage. SMU should be able to pay better and they've already shown support for NIL budgets. Arky would need way more commitment of funds for Arky to compete in the SEC. Lashlee has a pretty good situation it seems in the ACC.
  13. The flag on a sword is just fucking stupid. Who flies a flag on their sword? It's just too busy for a logo too.
  14. I never saw it if was confirmed, but it went around that Spencer Sanders wanted to return when he wasn't getting the attention he thought he would in the portal and Mike refused. I get the sentiment, but that's just not how it works anymore. I said it before, as I fan I can complain about missing the old days, but we need a coach who embraces this stuff, is fine if players test the waters, and who will either welcome them back if they want to return, or genuinely wish them well if they leave. The players have way more power these days and as much as I hate the ramifications for mid-tier programs like OSU, I can't really find a problem with the players who are the ones putting their bodies and brains on the line for the product having more power.
  15. AD Weiberg made clear we have the financial support to compete and I believe him. Mike had pissed off donors over many years, in part by refusing to meet with them (sorry coach but ass kissing for money is part of the job) and was just disagreeable to a lot of other people including regents and even his own coaching staff. Nobody will say it out loud but the impresssion I get is that we have donors willing to support NIL but not for Mike who only ever bitched about the new system. Saying that complaining fans were poor and stupid last year was probably the last straw (well second to last, being completely uncompetetive and losing to Tulsa was obviously the last straw). We'll see what financial support is available with the new coach. I don't see us being uniquely poorer in this new landscape than our Big 12 peers (Tech being the exception with Campbell). Like I said, we'll see.
  16. Republican voters will never ever ever blame King Orange or their Congress. It’s always the democrats fault. His instincts are spot on as always. We’re a stupid country who overwhelmingly elects shitheads. I say shut it the fuck down.
  17. I caught Elora in the makeup video, missed Willie Jack at the beginning.
  18. Yup here’s what that matchup looks like today. Dark blue almost black, turd brown pants, and overly complicated stupid looking logos. Fucking 1990s.
  19. Owner of my local brewery had this on today, haha!
  20. Gundy had been butting heads with insiders for years. It was somewhat public that he and Mike Holder did not get along and that he was not friendly with Boone Pickens in his later years. Rumors have swirled for years that he had lost the trust of some of the regents and some of the donors. After last season there was a regents meeting where Weiburg and then President Shrum clearly took up for him and left the meeting looking despondent despite saving his job. More rumors came out that he was not getting along with even his own coaching staff. The last two abortions of games were clearly the last straw with the remaining regents and donors. Basically, it sounds like he's been sort of an ass behind closed doors for years and winning is what kept his job. The results the last two years have not been bad, they've been attrocious, completely noncompetitive. It was time to move forward with there no longer being a rift of Gundy supporters and detractors. Even those who still like him know it's time for a change. Hopefully we can start anew this offseason with everyone on the same page including the donors.
  21. The $15M buyout is less than half of some programs’ annual roster payroll. It’s a multi billion dollar industry. But remember the people actually creating the product aren’t employees, they are
  22. Any takers?
