  1. That’s literally why these things always settle. Neither side wants to worry about calculating offsets and whether the coach is trying hard enough to find a comparable job or if there is collusion with the new employer to pay less than market value knowing the last school will pay the difference. The parties understand this likelihood when they negotiate these agreements from the outset. Except aggy lol because they are sad desperate and pathetic.
  2. Meh, might be enough to get them to end the shutdown to prevent the fat white red state poors from starving to death without their gubmint cheese, then they’ll forget the whole thing happened and get distracted about autopens and ICE porn. Epstein doesn’t matter imo other than it makes him mad. Even if released they’ve had plenty of time to scrub him and his friends and add people he doesn’t like. Or it was a nothing burger the whole time which is my suspicion. He made a big deal of it during the campaign which means he was lying and knew there wasn’t anything there. Edit: To be clear the Epstein situation isn’t a nothing burger, it’s fucking heinous, I just never believed there were files kept about specifics of a high level pedophile rings and who was participating.
  3. Just remember, you’re the one who is deranged if you think this is fucking insane.
  4. Jimbo's contract expressly overrid even the common law duty to mitigate, lol. I'm surprised more programs aren't desparate enough to agree to this, and am curious if someone will get it this cycle. https://www.si.com/college/pennstate/football/how-james-franklins-contract-buyout-differed-from-jimbo-fishers "Coach will not have a duty to mitigate University's damages if this Agreement is terminated by University without Cause," the contract said. "Furthermore, University will not be entitled to any offset whatsoever in the event that Coach secures any subsequent employment."
  5. I feel this cycle is odd because being a “big name” and having a decent resume might not be enough. It’s far more important that they embrace NIL etc and work well with donors. The old CEO model is over. I think there are tons of coordinators and assistants ready for this new world whose names none of us know right now.
  6. I think it’s a wholesale changing of the guard. Old guys and old souls who don’t like that the help is now getting paid can move on already. I think there are plenty of coordinators and assistants ready to embrace it and lead a team. I know whoever we hire will be hated by the fans because it won’t be a big name but how many are out there tbh? It’s more important that Weiberg and the donors understand the new landscape and focus on that instead of the resume (to a reasonable degree of course).
  7. Cool. I’ll enjoy it tomorrow. Good fucking night.
