  1. He's also married to a woman who was raised Muslim, and his mother is Hindu married to a Muslim, yet neither walk around in burkas, but John Rocker says he's gonna make all women in NYC wear burkas. These people have literally lost all sense of common sense and human decency.
  2. I agree, I've been following baseball and softball more closely and get way more excited about because we have legitimate shots at a national title every now and then, but even those sports are being affected. Tech bought themselves a softball pitcher who got them to the finals. SEC is throwing money at baseball players. One of Cody Campbells things is saying that this new model will kill the other sports. College athletics weren't set up to make profits, they were a cost same as the costs of other clubs and teaching in general. Football and to a lesser extent mens basketball becoming a monolith of profitability seems to me to be somewhat accidental. I personally think that football and maybe mens basketball should be removed from university athletic departments and set up as for-profit entities. The rest of the sports should be part of university operating budgets and should have have to be profitable or rely on football profitability for their continued existence. I think it's a justifiable use of general budgets because those sports provide skills for those involved. I think someone said it earlier but I've also interviewed ex-college athletes for work and they are always impressive and stand out in many respects.
  3. It's purpose was obviously to encourage grown ups to come to the table and negotiate a solution that gives the minority party something if the majority party doesn't have a supermajority. Adulthood left the building long ago and had its corpse burned to nonexistence around 2016.
  4. I've seen some Kreischer clips and watched the Cabin series on Netflix while high at a friend's recommendation and find him pretty funny. Also never noticed him being overtly political and didn't know he was close to Rogan. I can see him being a little one note in the long term but I also don't delve deep into stuff so it hasn't affected my view of his comedy.
  5. Way better than recent years. No telling how much better but we will compete and I think there’s a good chance we’ll be in the running for a tourney bid. Too many new players to know for sure at this point. I saw one game before the renovation, I was in high school and didn’t have any real college loyalties. My friend’s dad had tickets and invited me to a game. I enrolled in 2000, the first season with the raised roof. It was packed and rocking most games. Loudest I ever heard was when we beat Missouri in the first game after the plane crash.
  6. Bucky ball sucks. Go Pokes
  7. RFK got his name on the last stadium, feel free to pursue that path.
  8. Fernando Mendoza? Pedo fans gonna call ice
  9. What part of Islamastan is that?
  10. Wouldn’t mind some mamdate with his girl. Sharia me timbers!
  11. I disagree that MAGA is going anywhere. They'll bicker over shit but will always align come election time, at least national elections and swing state elections.
  12. Someone gonna need to point me to the parts of Shakira Law that includes “LGBTQIA+ Protections.”
  13. Hating the Giants and Eagles has made everything worse because they have SB trophies in recent memory. Even fucking Washington had their run last year. Thanks for changing the conversation. Die Jerry Die.
  14. Agreed, crazy that over the years it'll go from 70K to 30K.
  15. Pretty high. Their working on a $1.5 Billion contract payable through 2075.
  16. Doing some extensive renovations to Rice Stadium and the surrounding area. I think Rice is a cool place to still be playing FBS football but man anytime I tune in there looks to be maybe 1000 people in attendance. The price of $120M seems way low for what looks like tearing down an rebuilding an entire side of the stadium and adding all sorts of stuff around the area not to mention there is probably still some 75-year old infrustructure that needs to be completely replaced as part of the work. Surely those dorks did the math correctly. https://www.chron.com/sports/college/article/rice-stadium-renovation-21143934.php
  17. LOL, my comment was going to be, maybe she finally took her lithium. Regardless of what’s happening she can literally go fuck herself and if she’s serious about helping the country she should voluntarily disappear. If she was crazy before, fuck her, it led her to a career as a lawmaker where she treated people like shit and used her position to harm others. If she was faking before, fuck her for having no values whatsoever and just playing political winds. If she’s really seeing things different now, fuck her still, she should at a bare minimum apologize for being a complete cunt to so many people, and then should, as I said, fucking disappear. There’s no reconciliation tour from her past. Not as a lawmaker at least. Maybe mend some personal relationships but stay the fuck away from government of any kind.
  18. Lol, the average weight of all involved in the fight has to be like 250 lbs. and that might be below the Odessa average.
  19. I think the issue is the suggestion that “check in on your loved ones” and “reach out to someone if you need help” has never saved a life (0.00%). That's not possibly true. You don't think there are situations similar to this where a girlfriend/spouse/parent/sibling/etc. was able to talk them out of it in the moment? The advice also isn't limited to the minutes before the act is accomplished. There are many situations where people spiral for months and even years before making the ultimate decision and succeeding in taking their own life. Again it can't be 0.00% that one of those calls didn't intervene at the right time during that spiral to get someone on the right track and avoid what might otherwise end up in suicide. It's also not possible that 0.00% of people in this state of mind ever listened to advice to reach out to someone if help is needed. Otherwise, the point that our country doesn't take mental health seriously enough is valid. There is certainly a lot of talk about it in the last few decades but our infrustructure around it still sucks shit, especially for people who are poor and cannot check themselves into a facility or otherwise seek professional help. From a broader perspective there are things in U.S. society that cause these issues even for successful people with financial means, including our insistance that everyone must participate in the rat race, and even people with decent salaries struggle with housing costs and financial security. It's the dumbass ethos of "rampant individualism" that has infected the US that makes people feel weak for even questioning their own mental health and often looks down upon people asking for help. There are volumes to discuss on this issue and leads in some respects towards CR so I'll just leave it there I guess.
  20. Yup, these contracts always include that language, except for desparate aggy contracts. It goes to the question "why settle"? Both sides want a clean break without the need to calculate or litigate whether a coach complied with these relatively vague standards i.e. "diligence" "appropriate" "good faith" and "reasonable salary." It's a situation where both sides know at the time the contract is entered into that it is vague and expectations are to negotiate a settlement if required.
  21. Unless he donated his brain for study I don't think we'll ever know. Maybe his family can donate it if they want to know? I think it's a fair question but should be answered only if the family wants to know.
  22. Knees got weak from the aura of that BDE.
  23. He prefers ass kissers who don’t faint like sissy’s during his press conferences.
  24. Yup, tons of women in this stupid country who are all on board with being subordinate to their husbands.
  25. I did not know that, just looked it up and you're right. Players can still opt out I assume and preserve a redshirt if they have it available. Gundy was fired after game 3 so anyone who played in those games could sit out and preserve the redshirt (again if they had it available).
