Except they went beyond the scope of their job, and shouldn't have broken the law. Technically it should have been handled differently.
I would say most cops are bad, in my experience. And the whole point of the video is accountability, not to vilify.
Personally, and speaking from my own experiences, nothing good has ever come from interacting with police. I'm not against the concept of law enforcement. I'm just against what it has become.
Lol no. There were no signs of a burglary and no reason whatsoever to request his name and ID. Suspicious because of a garage door being open at 2am? Ok. Go check it out. Once a valid reason is given, go away. It's really not that difficult and exemplifies why so many people have unpleasant encounters with police.

One party seemed unnecessarily argumentative and hostile, while the other was progressively getting pissed because he's already been stuck for however long, trying to fix his car, but has another problem now to deal with.
Except he wasn't hiding anything, and being forced to help the cops determine if a crime is being committed.
Speaking the truth in a manner commensurate with how he's being treated is not being a dick.
It's kind of like when a, ahem... certain political party's member has been against homosexuality or abortion, but then come to learn their child is gay or needs an abortion to not die, and will change their tune.
I'm sure Scotty Scheffler was fairly pro law enforcement, too, until he's being dragged out of a car and talked to like a peasant.
