  1. So just to be clear, “Aggie fans should be absolutely steamed with the way the SEC built this schedule for A&M,” even though it’s only the 8th toughest schedule in the conference?
  2. Our mascot head at the time didn’t have horns? Wtf? Happened to see this clip the other day. Thought it was a bad call when it happened and today it looks even worse, since we see that kind of stuff all the time now.
  3. Knee. Injured on the second-half kickoff, they showed him down for a few minutes before being helped off the field.
  4. If you had told me beforehand that Oz would only be getting a few minutes of screentime in this episode, I wouldn’t have been looking forward to it at all. But ho lee fuk it was good.
  5. Strong “neither team needed a TE and neither team signed one. Advantage: Texas A&M” vibes from Politico.
  6. I mean if that were the case, wouldn’t they just… not have the current election and have Joe hand her the reins?
  7. 7-3 in our last 10, but somehow feels more like 5-5 or 4-6. Thank god for the Angels, I guess.
  8. Why would black turnout need to decrease for his second scenario to be true? Wouldn’t Trump benefit more if he got 12% of the black vote, and blacks turned out at 69%? Or higher?
  9. The “This is a tied race!!!” and “Harris is losing momentum!!!” takes are so tedious. Just today we had two pretty good national polls have her +5 and +6. And she’s now averaging out to be ahead in each of the seven swing states… and that’s including one state that wasn’t even considered swing earlier this summer, because it was assumed red. Yet talking heads (including Amy Walter on today’s Tim Miller podcast) keep throwing their hands up and saying “meh, tied.” I’m fully aware that polls are just a snapshot in time, and I 100% agree that we saw pretty big polling errors in 2016 and 2020. Not arguing any of that, nor do I think this race is over. But it’s infuriating to hear these “experts” say this is a tied race. It simply isn’t. And if the numbers were all reversed and Trump had a 4-6 point lead in big reputable national polls, not one of those experts would be calling the race tied.
  10. On the latest Sarah Longwell podcast/video, Bash tried to justify her and Tapper’s failure to fact check in the first debate… and somewhat criticize ABC’s decision to fact-check in last week’s debate. it was infuriating. Her halting speaking style sucks too. I always assume I’m somehow just missing her appeal.
  11. Did a trial of that too, and that was better, but then you’re missing Turner networks. So no NBA on TNT, and no MLB postseason on TBS. Plus no CNN if that matters to you. I guess my point is that there are always trade-offs. I just don’t find YTTV or Fubo to be as unassailable as people make them seem.
  12. Do you YTTV folks just not care about regional sports networks? I tried it and liked the interface and the multicast stuff, sure, but sports are probably the #1 reason I have cable. Not being able to watch the Spurs/Mavs/Rangers (Bally SW) and Astros/Rockets (SCHN) just seems disqualifying to me.
  13. Left Uverse for DTVStream in January. Pricing aside, the biggest advantage for any of the DTVS/YTTV/Fubo options over Uverse is the ability to watch anywhere. Astros games were particularly infuriating. Want to watch on your laptop? Nope, no web-based access. Roku? Nope, no app. On your phone while running an errand somewhere? lol. If you’re not tied to your set-top box, you ain’t watching it. The change to DTVS is saving us money every month but even if it weren’t, the improvement in user experience alone was worth the switch imo.
  14. I can live with or even enjoy the DJ and on-field hosts etc, but fuck whoever decided that crowd shots after every single play are necessary. Especially at the expense of replays.
  15. A senior in college would effectively be in 16th grade. That’s ten years after 6th grade, so that sounds like it’s in the ballpark. 2015 -> 2024.
  16. He could bless five votes and turn them into 11,780. Or, in the case of California, he could turn the five votes into 5,103,822.
  17. I liked it better when I thought you were being sarcastic with this.
  18. Busy day today. Can someone point me to the post where Pimphand or others dropped in to explain how Biden/Harris are responsible for the record high Dow close?
  19. He needs to get that BB rate up if he wants a spot in the big-league bullpen.
  20. Thanks. I didn’t realize that requests were already underway, but that makes sense.
  21. What does the tweet mean to begin with? Are mail-in ballots already going out/being sent back? If not, isn’t this just a prediction, worth no more than a poll? Akin to saying “well Travis County grew from 1.30M to 1.35M from 2020-2024, and it went 72-27 D in 2020, so good news for Ds!” I feel like I’m missing something obvious.
