  1. Criticize all you want, but if they hadn’t been so proactive in terms of injury prevention, we would have stumbled down the stretch with shit like Alvarez out with a hurt foot, Pena out with an oblique, and Altuve hobbling around with a broken foot. Imagine how awful that would have been.
  2. LMJ does many things, but “eat innings” is not one of them.
  3. So if we had gone 28-21 instead (92-win pace, not unreasonable), we’d be three games clear of the rest of the AL. I think the bitching and moaning has been justified.
  4. I’ll bitch about Sark’s playcalling all day, but at least he gave us this gem 20 years ago.
  5. Worse: Astros with RISP or Longhorns in the red zone?
  6. Reminded me of Mack passive-aggressively whining that the media was too critical about his shortcomings. “Well, we didn’t beat Oklahoma but we won the other 11, and people still want to ask about Oklahoma.” Hope someone asks him this week, “Coach, to follow up on your stat from last week’s press conference, what’s your red-zone TD% in 2025?”
  7. Nonsense! I was told that “if the bullpen stays healthy, that’s going to be a major edge.”
  8. *Wednesday night
  9. I will never understand how his career WHIP is under 2.00. And typical McCullers bullshit of needing about 90 pitches to get through 3.2 innings. I guess that’s okay if you have workhorses around you in the rotation to help rest the ‘pen, but Javier and Arrighetti are not that.
  10. Not surprisingly, you don’t.
  11. I used to hate off days, but I think watching this team play is even worse.
  12. Are we certain that’s worse than batting any of our position players?
  13. As a fan it’s felt more like 10-18. So, yay us?
  14. Quit doubting the AL Manager of the Year.
  15. So Pressly, Graveman, Osuna, and Giles are all available? Tough call for Dana.
  16. Really, really good. Lived up to the hype imo.
  17. Have they done this recently? Obviously there was development back in the Chip Engelland/Chad Forcier days, but I can’t think of many success stories over the last few years. Derrick White may be the most recent? Or Dejounte?
  18. Didn’t think I’d miss the three straight weeks of not scoring first, but here we are:
  19. lol @ “at the moment”
  20. San Antonio Spurs commit $1B-plus for planned arena, entertainment district “The Spurs are looking to kick in $500 million for a downtown arena, spend another $500 million on nearby development projects, and contribute $60 million for childcare initiatives, discount tickets and other offerings in an effort to persuade San Antonio and Bexar County leaders and voters to support public funding for the facility.”
  21. Run differential of +13 for the series, but split the series. Cosmic payment for that Rays series came due pretty quickly.
  22. A perennially unhappy 37-year-old (who hasn’t won a playoff game since I was apparently eight or nine years old myself) is exactly what this team needs! Let’s ship a valuable asset or two to rent him for a year, stunt Wemby’s growth, and end up exactly where we’d be without him… losing in the first round.
  23. What am I missing re: Durant? Wasn’t Phoenix better before he got there? His teams were swept in the first round in 2022, swept in the first round in 2023, swept in the first round in 2024, and missed the playoffs entirely in 2025. Yet he’s supposed to come here and teach our young guys how to win? I’m not in love with Vassell’s or Sochan’s games, but they seem to be held in fairly high regard in NBA circles. I’m fine with trading them, but bring back a dude who’ll contribute to a real playoff run.
  24. We’ll sweep those assholes just like we went into Chicago and swept the White Sox a few weeks ago.
