  1. Left Uverse for DTVStream in January. Pricing aside, the biggest advantage for any of the DTVS/YTTV/Fubo options over Uverse is the ability to watch anywhere. Astros games were particularly infuriating. Want to watch on your laptop? Nope, no web-based access. Roku? Nope, no app. On your phone while running an errand somewhere? lol. If you’re not tied to your set-top box, you ain’t watching it. The change to DTVS is saving us money every month but even if it weren’t, the improvement in user experience alone was worth the switch imo.
  2. I can live with or even enjoy the DJ and on-field hosts etc, but fuck whoever decided that crowd shots after every single play are necessary. Especially at the expense of replays.
  3. A senior in college would effectively be in 16th grade. That’s ten years after 6th grade, so that sounds like it’s in the ballpark. 2015 -> 2024.
  4. He could bless five votes and turn them into 11,780. Or, in the case of California, he could turn the five votes into 5,103,822.
  5. I liked it better when I thought you were being sarcastic with this.
  6. Busy day today. Can someone point me to the post where Pimphand or others dropped in to explain how Biden/Harris are responsible for the record high Dow close?
  7. He needs to get that BB rate up if he wants a spot in the big-league bullpen.
  8. Thanks. I didn’t realize that requests were already underway, but that makes sense.
  9. What does the tweet mean to begin with? Are mail-in ballots already going out/being sent back? If not, isn’t this just a prediction, worth no more than a poll? Akin to saying “well Travis County grew from 1.30M to 1.35M from 2020-2024, and it went 72-27 D in 2020, so good news for Ds!” I feel like I’m missing something obvious.
  10. Can we put the “Josh Shapiro reminds me of Barack Obama” comments to rest now?
  11. Plus, Kerr just led the US to a gold medal. Pop just went 22-60.
  12. My daughter (no pics) just turned 18. When i asked her what she wanted for her birthday, she said, “one thing: to register to vote”. She and her friends are fired up. And although I’m far from the best dad in the world, it made me proud that maybe I did some things right.
  13. That map auto-updates to the most recent track. Your point stands, though. The big shift in track happened between 7/4 and 7/5.
  14. Or give him a gift card for a massage.
  15. Agree totally. I wasn’t upset last year because I expected to make the playoffs, I was upset because it felt like a completely wasted year to me. I didn’t see any value in a bunch of clueless 20 year olds stumbling around for 82 games. If CP can come in and teach these guys how to play and how to win games late, that’s incredibly valuable at this point imo.
  16. And they were one of the five best shooting teams in the NBA this year while we were one of the five worst.
  17. I’d be a lot more comfortable with Castle if we hadn’t stupidly let Engelland go turn the Thunder into one of the best shooting teams in the NBA.
  18. Let’s not be stingy. We can throw in Bagwell also as a token of goodwill.
  19. Vintage April 2024 Astros there in the last three innings. GIDPs to end innings with runner on 3rd, passed balls to advance a key runner to 3rd, Pressly sucking, Hader sucking, etc.
  20. We’ve owned Rokus for three or four years and I don’t think I’ve ever gone to the Roku Channel. Have never stumbled across anything interesting on there because I’ve never watched it in the first place.
  21. Bagwell’s drawing up the extension as we speak.
  22. Fair. But I still I don’t get the whole “I’m not concerned about this thing (not scoring any runs) that happens multiple times every week… I’m more concerned about this other thing (pitching) that has actually been pretty consistent for the past few weeks and hopefully should get even better as everyone gets healthy.”
  23. I keep hearing people say that the Astros' bats are fine but they're worried about the pitching. I don't get it. Since the last game of the series at NYY, we've played 16 games and only had two bad pitching performances: Javier's first game back from injury in Detroit and Framber's meltdown against the Angels. In those 16 games we've had six bad offensive performances in terms of runs: 2, 2 (in 10 innings), 3, 2, 1, and 1 (today). And I know sample size and everything, but even when the pitching was atrocious earlier in the season, it's not like we were scoring in bunches. The Braves/Nats/Cubs stretch, we scored 1, 2, 4 (10 innings), 5, 4 (10 innings), 0, 2, 3, 1. I guess I'm spoiled. If this is one of the best hitting teams in baseball, I'd hate to root for one of the worst.
