  1. I like the move. the first indication Cal isn't his dad. Gaine was their 5th-6th choice, they obviously (hopefully) got word that the person they wanted last year is interested. Pay no attention to these first few interviews (rooney rule). However, I do hate all the patriots south crap - the patriots haven't drafted or managed their personnel particularly well. Bill and Tom are just that good at making chicken shit into super bowls. But sure, lets go get their coaches and front office people.
  2. 34 days for us. kids want to swim with the whale sharks. 3rd time to be on the island in a year (technically 14 months). Mar bella's is good / relatively upscale for isla.
  3. The brown dial with the rosegold on the strap is the tits. I'm on the lookout for a gen 2 VC chrono with the date windows. when i find the right one at right price its my next watch.
  4. Elvis at the HLS&R in 1974, i was 6. I kinda remember. My first real concert was the Who in the Summit in 1980 when i was 12/13 - it was in the summer and parents wouldn't let me go, so i spent the night at a friend's house and went with him and his older sister and her friends. Got high for first time. Parents later found out i went (a few weeks later) and i was grounded, but was worth it because i didn't have to hide my t-shirt anymore and could wear it to school like a boss the next year.
  5. Not in theory - although some contracts specifically call out "active". There is a huge bump between roster and practice squad of course.
  6. i did an Alaska cruise last year. Went with a group of friends. Went on bad ass excursions that i found - helicopter rides landing on glaciers. Drank a lot. was fun. I thought the passengers where pretty upscale, although old - after 9pm the ship was all ours. Im sure the quick ones out of galveston are quite a bit different.
  7. I dont love the pick - however, i'm not going to claim to have watched a second of Alabama St. film. It is concerning that he is labeled a project and that i get the feeling that they are happy with the idea of "well at least no matter what he can be a guard" If I'm Cal, i would pull Brian and BOB into my office and ask them. 1. Where on their board did they have the tackles rated. 2. If there was a gap between Philly's new tackle and ours, i would know there was a process problem and that probably i don't have the right guy leading my team that would allow Philly to jump us for the guy we really wanted. 3. If there was not a gap (one rated a 92 and one rated a 91.75 for example) then i will know if it doesn't work out that its an evaluation problem. And as they walked out of my office, i would say simply "okay - you better be right., you will find i'm not nearly as forgiving as my dad was"
  8. That episode was great, and probably the best non-action episode since Oberyn told Tyrion that he would be his champion vs the mountain in the dungeons of Kings landing in season 4.
  9. Brisket and beef ribs at Blacks Jap/cheese sausage and pork ribs at Kreuz.
  10. I spent 20 min next to him at an IAH bar a few years ago. He was cool.
  11. You know I always wanted to pretend i was an Architect Jerry.
  12. I have a good friend who married into alabama people - his wife and MIL are both members of the red elephant club or whatever their money laundering outfit is called. His wife and I have discussed more than once that aggy is concerning her, she (and i assume many of her out of state bama cohorts) don't understand that aggy is aggy. They just see them being in texas and the "look at all the money we have" stuff and just assume they will be a power to deal with in the future. So at some gathering, did someone talk about aggy - probably. Is Saban concerned about them anymore than LSU, Geogia, Florida, Auburn - i doubt it.
  13. I assume they don’t mind the coach at FB Austin being an aggy and steering the WR there.
  14. Pretty sure Blinn is considered the Harvard of Junior Colleges.
  15. I was just talking to a buddy today about this, and came to the conclusion my F150 platinum is about perfect. No other car on the road makes me wish i had it for a daily driver. Even my BIL's Raptor is too wide and not as comfortable a ride. edit: maybe the limited, which is basically a Platinum with the Raptor engine.
