  1. The bottom 2 teams both made their beds with their dish selection. It doesn't take a James Beard award winner to figure out that Fish & Chips and Scottish Egg were both going to be the hardest dishes on the slate to elevate/reinterpret and execute well for ~48 portions. Amar is lucky he didn't go home for his bone headed lobbying for F&C. The Thai lady only has herself to blame for the Egg choice.
  2. That's not LIDO's fault. It's how Etherium2 was designed and rolled out. Last I heard, Etherium's Shanghai update is supposed to go live April 12. That update will allow everyone to unstake Etherium.
  3. I had been thinking about ordering a Ledger Nano X for some time. With Coinbase in the crosshairs of the Eye of Sauron, I finally got off my duff and ordered one. It arrived this morning and I spent some time getting it set up and transfering some crypto I owned on Coinbase over to it. It was pretty easy. https://shop.ledger.com/?referral_code=HW6BPZ0SQ9H5C If you were considering getting one, using that referral link to order should reward you with $10 of Bitcoin.

  6. Forum friend on another forum scored 382... And she has a neurological condition. Sometimes life just really humbles you, you know?
  7. Good evening sir. I see that you are interested in your own private money. I can assure you that this is a very popular subject! Allow me to introduce you to BolivarBucks, backed by the full faith and credit of me, yours truly, SimonBolivar. Would you like to hear a full presentation on the wonderful benefits of owning BolivarBucks?
  8. The problem is that smart people like yourself are not always going to be able to maintain policy within rational boundaries. People are dumb and they will overwhelm the system eventually. Our system allows for soft/rational boundaries but when they get abused, we set upon a path to find out what the hard boundaries are. Of course, when we get there, everything explodes/implodes. System design is fun. Faith in dumb people to do smart things is dumb.
  9. The Fed was created to give govco unrestrained spending flexibility. It's working as designed. It's a feature, not a bug. At least, that's what folks tell me when I posit that our monetary system is insane and will always Chaos Theory itself to this outcome because people are dumb.
  10. The API integration that I'm using is using the gpt-3.5 model which does not allow customizations. They have other models and I seem to recall seeing that you could pay for access to models that you can seed yourself, but I can't recall what page I saw that on. Some context here: https://platform.openai.com/docs/models

  13. * bump * I added a ChatGPT integration to a site I own and have been playing around with it this morning. The quality of the output is definitely a function of the quality of the question, but it can put out some insightful responses.
  14. I predict 25bp and future guidance that another 25 bp hike next go 'round is likely pending data

  17. Wordle 641 4/6 ⬜⬜🟨⬜🟩 ⬜⬜⬜🟩🟩 ⬜⬜🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 The clues from my guesses didn't help much. I knew top left was one of two words, so I tried a wild guess on top right to use one of the two possible letters. My guess failed, but gave me the info I needed to complete the puzzle.
  18. Fraud should be defined by statute and policed accordingly. Entire industries should not be nuked because of the actions of a few bad actors or because POTUS wants to persecute them. Fret not. I'm sure some asshat Republican will win the White House in the future and enjoy this new power the Dems have built and target industries on their shit list (dispensaries, abortion clinics, etc.). I'll still be bitching about it then if I'm still around.
  19. Why didn't someone create a new thread for TOC 4? Can we change the thread title? Chefs last episode were multitasking like crazy. Working 8 things at once (or so it seemed). The judges were really critical. While I can respect bringing in accomplished chefs to judge, if they have never tried their hand at competition cooking, I don't think they really have the proper perspective/framework to appreciate how much the clock limits chefs from concept to execution to plating.

  21. The Eye of Sauron isn't a Republican or Dem issue. That's just the lens you choose to see it with Wildcat09. The architecture of financial armageddon might one day target an industry (or many for that matter) that you care about. The financial system should not be a tool for the Executive Branch to effect political persecution. I guess folks won't care about this until CBDCs have replaced the existing system and the debanking folks or the threat of it to coerce behavior becomes trivial.
