  1. just had mine replaced in northeast austin for $25/lf by Woodcare Custom Services. total was around 140 lf. 1 gate, 1/2 thick 6" wide western red cedar pickets, 5/8" thick galvanized steel posts set in concrete, 3 cross posts of 2x4 treated pine, and galvanized nails that are like screws. they did great work
  2. wife and i got our second moderna shot 24 hours ago. I felt sleepy but that's it. she woke me up at 5 saying her entire body hurt and she felt chills. Seemed to be running a fever. Gave her some advil and she's still asleep. My friend also experienced the same overnight,
  3. lol, george fucking zimmerman still hasn't been capped and you think this dude will face consequences if he's acquitted?
  4. no shit... damn 7 days from his previous post.
  5. jeez and i thought my 6 month project was bad (which it was, our dumbass supervisor fucked up and delayed the project and we missed all of 2019 summer)
  6. that's because you're not a gigantic piece of shit like @Parliament
  7. wife and i got our first moderna shot today. Drove out to walmart rockdale for it. Some soreness, just like a normal shot. All else still good. stopped at louie mueller's on the way back. pretty great thursday so far
  8. it's obviously the husband. read a blurb where she complained to her friends that he would choke her until she passed out, then she'd wake up in the bathroom.
  9. we did. unfortunately it stopped snowing by the time we got in. It was awesome
  10. I cannot imagine the pain. My condolences
  11. I've been meaning to try Moreno, went to high school with Bo.
  12. i have an SUV and young kids. Having cloth was not an option. With leather, you just wipe off any food/drink/shit/vomit they spill and it's clean.
  13. i sure hope so as I prefer the Ford over the GMC. Looking at the prices online though, the 2020 Fords are much more expensive than the 2021 GMCs which is crazy to me
  14. Looking to buy a new truck, either the 2021 GMC Sierra SLT or 2020 Ford F-150 Lariat 3.5. what is the best strategy to get the lowest price? I'm in Austin and willing to drive a few hundred miles to buy. No trade in, will have my own financing. My strategy was to call/email as many dealerships with my desired color/trim/etc and ask for their lowest price OTD. Do a second round of this with the ones that respond. what else am i missing?
  15. fuck that noise. buy this test kit https://tftestkits.net/TF-100-Test-Kit-p4.html, download the PoolMath app, and watch some youtube videos. It's the easiest thing in the world to maintain your own pool
  16. I'm going to have to do the same. Fucking CH was 700 last time i checked (CYA was 70). Not looking forward to that water bill
  17. yes. go to a site one
  18. mine crapped out about a month ago and i replaced it with this. well worth the price. it's fucking powerful and super quiet. so quiet that i had to confirm i had installed it right. it's a pain in the ass to install because it's awkward being below the sink, but difficulty wise it's pretty simple
  19. all i used were the locks that screw on to the rails, ensuring the window cannot open more than 4 inches. check with your construction supervisor to make sure. inspection codes change all the time
  20. in austin you need window locks on any behind the fence line. i installed the cheap stick on door alarm, and once inspection passed i took it off FYI, the stores will not allow you to return the alarms - they know the game
  21. same for zoysia in austin?
  22. pinthouse pizza electric jellyfish
  23. subscribed. having same issue right smack in the middle of my front yard.
  24. that is fucking NUTS. You did not get anything outrageous, just standard cedar posts with metal posts. i was quoted $3600 for about 148 linear feet last fall (~25 sq ft). No idea what they're running now but i can't imagine them going up $40/ft because of covid
  25. we had 3 stools built into our pool and we use them often. I'm waiting for an electrician to come out and wire the outdoor patio area so i can install a TV where the stools are
