Emulation on iPhones/iPads, Wii, etc.
Non-iOS related but I recently stumbled into the world of Wii modding. Had a Wii that's been collecting dust for a decade, pulled it out to see if it worked, and was merely googling if I could get a Wii Pro controller to work with a Gamecube game. Three days, a $9 SD card, a $50 hard drive, and one 40min Youtube guide later, I had a hax0red Wii with an NES, SNES, N64, PS1, and GC emulator along with a bunch of new Wii games. It's pretty awesome what this little machine can do with very little effort and expertise required.

2024-2025 Houston Rockets thread - Prepare for Liftoff 🚀 [Now Featuring Kevin Durant]
The first home game the following year is always when they do the ring/banner presentation afaik. And Durant has two rings anyway so idk how this could in any way be construed as petty.

Quinn "La Joya" Ewers - The Man The Myth The Mullet, Now Starting for the Miami Dolphins
I heard a stat about Worthy on a fantasy show recently. His catch rate on deep balls sucked last year. Not to defend Quinn but maybe they both aren't good at deep passes.

You can only watch movies of a single year the rest of your life.
@BurntEyes i am pro Eyes Wide Shut for sure. Still have a great memory of seeing that opening night at the Tinseltown 290 in Houston. I was sitting next to this old hippie stoner with a joint tucked behind his ear. He slept through the entire movie from the VERY beginning, periodically waking up to crankily blurt out, "this movie sucks!" Also forgot Three Kings.

Me, too. 1999 is strong for the nostalgia. Such a memorable, formative year. But no QT or Coen Bros film is a drag. More movies not on your list (that I would watch before Bicentennial man): The Insider, Dogma, Ninth Gate, The Iron Giant, The Talented Mr. Ripley, Toy Story 2, But I'm a Cheerleader, Audition, South Park, Varsity Blues, The Straight Story, eXistenz. '94 is just loaded with rewatchables though.

Not necessarily a serial killer but probably people with a history of violent and abusive behavior.

Modern Warfare
I have played a few missions on PC. Bought it on sale recently at Green Man Gaming. It seems pretty good if you want to play a super realistic, slow paced police milsim type game like the old SWATs. There isn't much depth or story though from what I've seen. Mostly about just playing through missions and replaying them if you want to improve your score. The online play is co-op only btw, there's no pvp mode.

liam neeson is frank drebin, jr. naked gun is back.
Pretty fucking hilarious. Not every joke landed for me, but I laughed a lot.

Dexter: Resurrection
Yeah this is a lot of fun so far. Not totally caught up so skimmed the thread with one eye closed. Michael C. Hall is just so interesting to watch. And the way he can deliver almost any line in a way that makes me laugh is a gift. That dry Dexter sarcasm slays me pun intended.

I'm seeing it in about 6 hours, will report back 🫡

Luka Doncic
Haven't we heard this same story the previous two offseasons? Come January, we'll see if it was Luka or Photoshop doing the heavy lifting.

When I was like 14 sneaking into Barb Wire at the Tomball dollar cinema, I never would have imagined myself contemplating if Pamela Anderson's boyfriend could do better.

Happy Gilmore 2
Absolutely fucking bewildering scrolling this thread. I think you all suffered the same trauma, and as a survival mechanism, your brains have tricked you into thinking you saw an alternate, acceptable version of this movie. This was egregiously bad. Like "study in a lab to understand how it happened" tragically bad. Struggling to think of a worse sequel with a bigger chasm in quality. I went in with the lowest of expectations, hoping it could mayyybe rise above the average Happy Madison Netflix slop. But I dunno. It might be worse. An endless parade of bad ideas. An opus of unfunny. I felt embarrassed for the actors who wanted to be a good sport and came back only to be misused in such weird, unfunny ways. If a Happy Gilmore sequel was simulated 1000 times, this version would rank in the bottom 1%.

One thing I gathered from those post-episode vidocs is Neil Druckman insists upon himself.

F1 - Apple
I saw it at an AMC IMAX. Showtime was 7:15, movie started at 7:46. Which was great for us because we were 20min late.
