    Burgers

did not know this. fuck me. good beer and good food. another one bites the dust.
  3. well, thats just like your opinion, man. but maybe i misunderstood the category. if it was pick your 10 favorite rock and roll songs, you probably wouldnt have heard of any of mine. if it was pick the top 10 rock and roll songs, any list without stairway to heaven, freebird, and hotel california on it is not a legitimate list. thats just the facts, man. no debate about it.
  4. stairway to heaven - led zep freebird - skynrd like a rolling stone - dylan beast of burden/gimme shelter - stones get back/hey jude - beatles like a hurricane - neil american girl - petty hotel california - eagles comfortably numb - pink floyd bohemian rhapsody - queen
  5. i'm still havent fully come to grips with the fact that trump won. i'm not saying stop the steal, or that we should enter 16 lawsuits to challenge the results, and lose all 16 like some would do. but the fact is he lost to hillary by 3 million votes. he lost to biden by 7 million votes. how is it there was a 9 million vote swing in the country? i have a hard time believing that. sure, there was the typical republican shenanigans - some gerrymandering, some firing of election officials, some "election monitors" put in place. but you dont get 9 million votes out of that. there are a certain number of votes you lose because some people, regardless of party, believe a woman shouldnt be president. there are a certain number of votes you lose because some people, regardless of party, believe a person of color shouldnt be president. but you dont get 9 million votes out of that either. in my opinion, the election was lost after the disaster of the first debate. biden showed he was not capable of being president. yet our whole party, and 150 million+ americans, were all set to support him. disaster. total incompetence. a party excited about leading the country does better vetting than that. i believe even kamala would have won had biden stepped down, enthusiastically given the reins to her, and she participated in the first debate. changing the horse in midstreams showed disfunction within the party and caused voters to lose faith.this conservative policies have never been popular in this country. this is not a conservative country. the last time a republican presidential candidate won the popular vote was w in 2004, 20 yrs ago. congress is an example of how evenly split the country is. it could go either way every election. whats ignorant is when you do win, to say you have a mandate. 51% of the votes is not a mandate. thats like winning a football game because the other team went for two and didnt make it. you take the win, but dont brag about it. if youre smart, you go to the boardroom and figure how you almost lost and how to get better. you won because the other team screwed up. he is my president and i will support him. i wont leave the country, i wont wish for him to fail i want america to excel and be a beacon of light and hope for the world. i may not have full faith in rodney terry, but i want us to win. what i think will happen, is the republicans will shit the bed, and the dems will come in in 4 years to clean it up. already grocery prices are going up, and they will just go up more, as will the price of goods overall, after tariffs kick in. already there are ramifications of the massive government layoffs in air traffic safety. there will be more. letting food inspectors go is just another example. if i'm wrong, and he has the blueprint to success that he thinks he has, then the gop may never lose another election. this is their shining moment, the best opportunity theyve ever had. they have the house of reps, senate, white house, and supreme court. if conservative policies are good for the country we'll be in fantastic shape in 4 years. who believes that will happen? who's willing to wager? theyve never had a better chance to show they can lead. i would say after this first week, theyre off to a rocky start.
  6. i've driven austin to santa fe and austin to phoenix in one day, but wouldnt do it with kids. i make a drive west almost yearly but go farther north than your direction - towards the utah national parks and 4 corners area. when i have driven to colorado, i went through raton/capucin and stayed in dalhart or dumas. who are you seeing at red rocks?
  7. ive tried both the waterloo's, excellent for the price point and supporting a local bidness. never heard of bosque but am intrigued and will look for it now.
  8. i have that one too and paid a pretty penny for it. its not the purple tops the distillery has but its as close as you're going to find on the shelf.
  9. red zone issues! why the field goal on that one drive?
  10. sorry, i was looking for the nancies pulling their hair out because of the weather thread, and looks like i found it. man up, fuckwads. its football.
  11. thats the way it should be. you should hate everyone. they probably all lied to you.
  12. why did rachel play her steal a vote? did she have to before it got down to 5? it was wasted. whether the vote was 4-2 rachel or 3-2 rachel makes no difference because no votes counted for rachel. and didnt teeny tell them about her idol? weird that nobody knew. the winner of the last immunity challenge is the going to be in the catbirds seat. could be any of the three (sue and teeny might as well pack their bags). in fact i would say rachel has the least chance of winning immunity between her, sam, and genevieve. has been a great season though.
  13. as said before the premise of this season is stupid. trying to make an army pilot into a lionness and then ask her to turn on her own family and infiltrate was stupid. Where we are now in the story proves it was pointless as its been completely abandoned. sending a cia special ops team to intercept a human smuggling operation on the border was stupid. sending a cia special ops team into iran/turkey/iraq/wherever the fuck they were to intercept two chinese nuclear scientists was stupid. should have just sent an airstrike to begin with, which is what they ended up doing. i believe they need to hire an extra (or better) military adviser for next season. Still, those complaints aside, great show. i could do with less drama from jo and her family. the husband seems like a weak cuckold and its hard to watch.
  14. ive ordered from them before. almost did this year but bought from someone at work instead.
  15. i loved delicious too. they had a bandera location that was close to me when i lived there. lived in austin, houston, and san antonio and san antonio had the best tamales of the three. rubens maybe? there was another one east side of town. abuelas is another name i vaguely recall, but i moved from there in 2011. i hate places/people that slather on too much masa on the corn husk so theres not enough filling. its all about the filling. the corn taste from the masa should be an accent.
  16. which tamale won the taste test?
  17. i kind of understand her emotions this season. new lioness was forced on her and her participation forced on them. dea guy forced on her and is a complete fuckup with everything he says and touches. the premise of both seasons is a little sketchy, last was a little more probable. this one almost laughable - fake a daughters dishonorable discharge and send her home to daddy like she's going to go from badass army pilot to living in her parents basement. like he's going to fall for that. he already seems skeptical. turning him seems more likely than spying on him and killing him, so it just got a little more believable than the first few episodes where they expected her to participate in the incarceration or murder of her family.
  18. does anyone have an idol? where are they all? seems like theyve been less of a factor this season than any.
  19. leaders: genevieve, kyle, sam, rachel bottom: sue, teeny in between: andy, caroline
  20. went to tejas two weeks ago and la last week, both outstanding. tejas was every bit as good as franklin - brisket, burnt ends, chile relleno sausage, pork ribs, turkey, beans, potato salad, carrot soufflé. the beans and carrot souffle were the only things that didnt jump out as excellent. la's brisket was as good as you will find anywhere. sausage was dry and crumbly and subpar. mac and cheese was one of the best bbq sides ive had in years.
  21. kyle seems like a good dude, so would love this, but nice guys dont usually win this. kind of reminds me of hunter from last season. i'm betting on genevieve although she might be strategizing a little too hard. maybe take a backseat and let someone else orchestrate the next few votes.
