does anyone know if the drink.well burger is the same as foreign and domestic? the f&d one gets mentioned in many top 10 lists, but drink.well is more casual and comfortable to me.

had the pascal at hopfields last week. i would not say quality has dropped off at all. still an excellent and one-of-a-kind burger. we sat on the patio and the service was terrible. waiter was a total dick. and slow on top of that. wine was expensive per glass and the pours were on the cinchy side.
  4. i watched it. franklin was a fascinating man.
  5. for a therapist, she's not playing a very good social game. the merge might buy her more time.
  6. He's awesome, which means he'll be voted out first as soon as the merge comes. One guy I'm intrigued by is Roxroy. First of all, what kind of name is that? Secondly, why is he so bossy? Thirdly, why is he so terrible at physical challenges? He barely exerts any effort at all. He had a girl swim and pull him while he sat in a boat.
  7. agreed, or more medical incidents all across the board - sunburn, twisted ankles, toes chopped with an errant machete stroke, etc.
  8. did you have to make reservations? was there a long wait?
  9. i agree with gandorf, ive found stagg jr and blantons a few places in texas, moreso than any of the other unicorns. i've probably bought 4 bottles in the past 2 years.
  10. I'm kinda with the last few posters. was a decent, even refreshing, show for a while but has run it's course. it seems rehashed now and not a redeeming likable character on the show. all of them scheming, selfserving, backbiting, and superficial.
  11. santa fe new orleans phoenix/scottsdale kanab, utah
  12. fucking huckleberry moved south on me. great food though, agreed.

where are they now? i dont think they are at abw anymore.
  14. i recorded the second episode on cmt and still have on my dvr but need to have the whole series for it to be worth anything. or at least the first episode.
  15. is the att center really considered north? rosarios was a great choice. i was going to suggest someplace near the bluestar first friday area.
  16. saw it last weekend. if jessica chastain doesnt get nominated for an oscar i will be outraged. she actually should win it. she was fantastic. andrew garfield was great too, but jessica stole the show. that was as good an acting job that anyone could possibly do.
  17. is this ever gonna make it on paramount or cmt? something non-streaming?
  18. oh i get, you guys are under the impression this site is a circle jerk, where you can just ooh and aah over any subject and no one can disagree with you. well man up. this is a board to discuss topics. you can love a restaurant and another poster can say it sucks. same with bourbon or tv shows. until danny mcbride can play a character other than danny mcbride i will withhold by respect for his acting or writing skills. in the meantime, grow up and suck it. bye felicia.
  19. ive decided to opt out this season. watched the first two episodes and it's lost its luster for me. cancelled all my dvr recordings. danny mcbrides humor gets old. every episode theres dialog between two people that goes like this: "no i didnt". "yes you did". "no i didnt". "yes you did". or: "i'm not a moron. you're a moron". "no, i'm not. you're a moron". "no, you're a moron". "no, you're a moron". it's asinine and a waste of my time.
  20. Dress codes are pretty out of date, and dont do well in austin to begin with. i cant think of a place in town that requires them. even a place like brennans, in houston, could stand to relax the coat and tie requirement. its good food, let people enjoy and experience it comfortably.
  21. whats the date? whats the venue?
  22. love the show. very funny, but would be worth watching even without audio whatsoever. his shots of nyc highlight the beauty and absurdity of living in the city. he does interview people and they're crazy weird people that you expect live in nyc. i missed his landlord this latest season. she was a real winner.
  23. i lived at 33rd and guadalupe for about 10 years starting in the early 80's. been in there many times. went with a date for dessert and coffee one night not too long ago. another austin original bites the dust.
