  1. not sure i agree with that. i love congress, but hate my representative. i havent had a representative (meaning someone that represents me, and my views) since they gerrymandered lloyd doggett out. it's been mike mccaul and bill flores ever since.
  2. Holy moley. How quick can I get to Scottsdale I wonder.
  3. I'm legitimately shocked. me too. the last person i would have thought to side against trump.
  4. not anymore outlandish than anything else that's been allowed to happen these past 4 years.
  5. trump's reactions to all this have been exactly as predicted. his immaturity and insecurity have formed delusions of grandeur. he's a spoiled little rich kid with a sense of entitlement and a belief that the law does not apply to him. he made it clear he wanted to be president for 20 more years, and wasn't going to let the constitution stop him. what bothers me is congress going along with it, never slapping him back down to reality. they should have learned by their obstructionist party of no stance during Obama, that the dems can (and have) do the same thing. if they allow trump to not disclose his taxes, well now no president has to. if they allow this kind of attack on innocent, legal, fair voters, then every election from here on out will go to the supreme court. the fact that none of them are coming forward publicly and acknowledging biden's win, and reprimanding trump for his actions, is way more disturbing to me than trump's behavior.
  6. i wonder what would happen if his shenanigans pay off. he lost popular vote by 7 million, huge, but dont agree that he "lost electoral college" since that is what is still being litigated.
  7. i have an aching fear that trump stays in office.
  8. i do take those with a grain of salt. i suspect you can buy a gold medal, or at least that there are some shady influences. balcones won a few also.
  9. kid is overly-weak and that irritated me. arnold rothstein is going to fuck some shit up.
  10. one of the three won a gold medal in san francisco, but can't remember which one.
  11. whats the surly opinion on traverse city, old elk, and sweetheart of the rodeo? They are all three fairly affordable, none of them seem to be over 4 yrs olds, and as far as i can tell all are mgp. however, all three were on different recommended lists ive come across lately so have them on my shelf. anybody know their stories or have tried them?
  12. i'm opting out of all whistle pig and barrel bourbons from now on. it's not that they're bad, just tried enough and am uninspired by them.
  13. seeing a lot of the doc swinsons out there, which is a 15 year heaven hill. havent been inclined to fork over the $150 yet though.
  14. i dont see any episodes scheduled on hbo. where are you seeing it?
  15. watched a movie called deerskin last weekend. cute little independent, foreign flick i was pleasantly surprised with. killer style.
  16. your grocery store is better than my grocery store.
  17. i dont see beer hall on the celis beer menu. where did you get it and how long ago? wouldn't mind trying that one. they have one now called festbier. i wonder if it's the same and they just changed the name of it.
  18. i hope they are all still in jail come election day and that's 6 less votes for trump.
  19. the one i'm drinking was barreled on 8/9/08. the one I have unopened was barreled on 12/17/08.
  20. been on the hunt for all of the buffalo trace unicorns because I've heard they're out, along with ofbb, little book, boston batch, and parker heritage. cant find shit, but I did run into a pinhook bohemian and picked that up. anybody tried it? it was on my recommended list and first time ive seen it. I am at the point where my bourbon shelf if full and overflowing, so to make room I had the idea of killing all the open bottles that I have duplicate unopen bottles of, so right now am working on McKenna 10, etl, stagg jr, eagle rare, and 1920. I've gone through a pour of each so far, and started round 2 tonight. of the 5, McKenna 10 is my least favorite - lightest, blandest, least complex. eagle rare is the sweetest of the 5. something about their mashbill or process really brings out the corn sugars. I actually like the sweet bourbons, I think it cuts the burn some, but my favorites are the etl and stagg jr, with heavy weight on the etl. such depth of flavor there. I taste the handcraftedness. when you sip it you get the feeling love went into making it. 1920, like all the old forester, is the most unique. its one bourbon I think I could pick out in a blind tasting. doesn't matter which year, I could pick out the old forester. it would be my 4th favorite, but just barely behind the er10.
  21. and he'll still get 47% of the vote. just like when he said grab em by the pussy, they still voted for him. just like when he abused his power with ukraine, they still voted for him. just like when he cheated on his taxes, they'll still vote for him. they don't call him the teflon don for nuthin.
