  1. a widow jane store pick? have not seen that before.
  2. So let me see if i got this straight, you're listening to tv on the radio?
  3. ive been to bob wills day in turkey so this hits close to home.
  4. Biden needs to get out there more. he's staying way too silent. more press events. maybe a town hall scheduled at the exact same time as one of trumps events/pep rallies.
  5. i bought the wilderness trail at a store in north austin. passed it up a couple of times then finally bought a bottle. it's okay, but $50 is too steep for it. I would say it's an excellent bourbon if it were in the $30 range. woodenville for example, is in that range, and i think the two are comparable in quality.
  6. best season ever. everyone left deserves to win, including half of those on exile that could make it back in. natalie is so deserving, hope she makes it back.
  7. i'm just as annoyed that ed harris and serac keep coming back. it doesn't seem like there's ever any closure nor does the story move along as it could.
  8. there seems to be more out there right now. I wonder if its covid related - either because no one has the money, or everyone is staying home. found eagle rare, stagg jr, bookers granny batch, seems like another one too that I cant remember right now.
  9. agreed. there needs to be a no whispering rule put into effect. this is turning off the fan base.
  10. voltaggio has a smugness and a smirk but by far the most annoying player is malarkey. he has got to go.
  11. that's the way i do it too. plow through the most common bottles so that i dont accumulate so many bottles and what stays in my collection is the good stuff.
  12. I didn't have any hopes or expectations of them killing carrie off, but I was hoping Yevgeny and that Pakistani chick did. they were both evil and fucked us over time and time again and would have liked to have seen them get what they deserved. it was a good show but i'm glad it's over.
  13. you've tried the blood oath, hancocks, and bookers, and the of rye was the best? I hands down its the best value of the 5, but was it the best tasting?
  14. nice way to pop your cherry.
  15. ogd114 is old school, reminds me of bourbon back before bourbon was a craze. always on the shelf, always consistent, always affordable.
  16. sw like dripping springs area, or at least heading out 290 that direction?
  17. i'm actually working but point taken. i might could make the drive.
  18. i might as well drive to houston. i'm in round rock so don't do south if i can help it.
  19. i'm not a huge fan myself, but i find it's a good brand to introduce non-bourbon drinkers to bourbon. i'm a purist and actually believe the finishing barrel step should be enough to kick it out of the bourbon category and just classify as a whiskey. if you go through the pain-staking, forest-clearing process of strictly adhering to new white oak barrells, then what's the point of pouring the juice into a port barrell after that? why not just use a port barrel to begin with?
  20. thanks! specs and total have the wooderson ipa but not that one. any ideas where i might could find it without driving to the brewery. aint nobody got time fo dat.
  21. never found an ezra 7, so no. been looking for it for a couple of years now. good call on the bibb and tucker - bought a bottle, killed it, was okay but not impressive.
  22. was it '83? I thought it was earlier. and after I typed that I cant remember for certain if it was the dobie it played at. could have been the student union but they never showed first runs. the only other two it could have been were the one across the street from the union or the arboretum. those were about the only art cinemas in town back then.
