  1. this is a myth but keep trying to scare people with it. the sky didnt fall when obama was elected, didnt fall when trump was elected, it wont fall when bernie is elected.
  2. the whole point of canned food imo is that it lasts forever. turns out that shit has expiration dates like everything else. that ticks me off. the canned food i keep on hand, regardless of zombies or coronaviruses, is: chili, tuna, 2-3 cans of soups, pinto beans, refried beans, black beans, 2-3 cans of diced tomatoes.
  3. well you are quite the miracle prognosticator then, because cruz, rubio, bush, carson, paul, kasich, huckabee, fiorina, christie, and santorum had no clue and would have bet the bank they were going to beat trump.
  4. is this where we come for you to tell us how great bernie did?
  5. I think some of ya'll are taking this show a little too seriously. fat dad is gonna fuck you up.
  6. only two episodes left. it wraps up 3/8.
  7. and soon to transfer from claude into the fat dad? so the only way to stop this thing is isolate (or kill) fat dad to keep him from scratching anyone new?
  8. that's a lot to do by 1:15, and pushing it if you ask me. 2 hrs from marathon to boquillas canyon. 1-2 hrs from your car across the river, kicking around the village, then back to your car. 2 hrs from boquillas to terlingua. you'd need to leave your hotel at 6 am that morning at the latest.
  9. i dont often understand stupid premises. i'm okay with escapism and fantasy and suspense, and i'll keep watching, but i'll keep laughing and making fun of it at the same time.
  10. well the main plot point is stupid, so that makes the show stupid. how many cops does it take to prove a loser strip joint manager's alibi? way too fucking many. and why didn't they bring sleeping bags or blankets? it seems like quite an imposition on a guy who doesn't even like cops. and one other thing. the local cops released claude in the other cops custody. so why did they all have to flash badges at each other? and don't even get me going on caveapalooza.
  11. so then we all agree this show has gone stephen king stupid. it was pretty decent as a crime show but has now jumped the shark.
  12. so whats the point of the whole thing if they cant stop it? they didn't need to make the trip at all if all they wanted to do was prove his alibi. they could have left him in jail.
  13. i guess i'm kind of lost. they had 6 cops surrounding claude to keep him from becoming the next host, and he becomes the next host anyway without any of them seeing it? what was the point of them making the drive if there's nothing they can do to stop it?
  14. with that rating scale, makes you wonder what he'd give the rest of the wheated bourbons.
  15. dude, that may be the best weather you've had but you still look like you are in bad need of a fire.
  16. i'm looking forward to the beaning. runner on base and an ejected pitcher. no better recipe for winning than that. dumbasses.
  17. about 5 min. you could easily walk if you wanted to save a couple of bucks. you'd be more comfortable walking.
  18. i'm not a huge country fan either but you should go to the broken spoke too. just go for lunch and have a chicken fried steak and a lone star.
  19. of course you are, because there's 3 million people watching on television and they're all seeing it. the yankees got caught using their own tv network to do this very thing years ago.
  20. you have conveniently blocked out that they had the best road record in the majors. they werent cheating then. they had two pitchers on staff that could have won the cy young. they werent cheating then. they were the best team in the majors that year and there is no disputing it. there shall be no asterisk.
  21. not sure if serious or sarcastic. i'm telling you it's faux outrage. they aren't really livid. it's a case of methinks thou dost protest too much. it's like a looter getting caught running out of a store with an armful of goods and everyone else going "how could you?" when they all just came out of the store themselves. every one these players pretending to be livid, has been the beneficiary at some point in their career of someone telling them what pitch is coming. they've all done it but this faux outrage is trying to placate the normal naive fan into thinking what a shock this is to all of us that this is going on, when in truth they've known about it, and participated in it, all along.
  22. i'm not opposed to it. technology entering the game is inevitable. my point is that you can't come out with all this faux outrage that "oh wah, poor me, they stole my signs" when you're flashing the signs in front of everyone. it's as simple as changing your signals. what if the catcher flashed a bunch of signals that meant nothing and then tapped his helmet? all 29 teams (and i mean all of them, not just the astros) would be trying to decipher the hand signals when in truth the pitch is called by the tapping of the helmet? the day after signals were invented was the day stealing signals was invented. the day after you allow radio comms to call the pitches will be the day that hacking into those radio comms is invented. it's human nature. it's on you to invent and reinvent your signal system. you cant cry and claim the victim when you're too stupid to realize everyone knows what pitch is coming because of your stupid signal system.
  23. you absolutely can equate the two. you're saying that if the baserunner relays the signs its okay, but if someone in the dugout does it, its not. I call bullshit on that. there is nothing illegal about sign stealing, or even relaying signs. what the rule says is no technology. I call bullshit on that too. in this day and age of technology - cell phones, ai, smartwatches, etc it will be more and more commonplace. the result of this controversy wont be to end sign stealing or relaying, but to initiate the advent of better signals. its not stealing if they give it to you, and the signals are clear for everyone to see. come with a better system.
  24. never realized how many crybabies there were in baseball. and this holier than thou shit is finally getting to me, as if no other player has ever stolen a signal or been the recipient of a relayed signal. it's as old as baseball and goes on at all levels in practically every game. i really thought this would have blown over by now. i'm ready for the astros to kick some ass and shut the haters up.
