  1. are you guys trying to convince me to go out and get those two barrel bourbons? I've got 44, 27 unopened. and I thought I had too many.
  2. but probably not from the mini bar. lesson #1: stay away from the mini bar.
  3. I haven't been too pleased with the barrel offerings, but two of their recent ones - infinite and dovetail, are outstanding. I haven't bought either but have tried them both and probably will buy when my collection dwindles down some. I got too many bottles at the moment.
  4. I agree wholeheartedly. if you're a dem, support the dem. his policies will be better than trump's. you can call him trump lite all you want, but 4 years of trump lite is better than trump xxx.
  5. I saw a stat the other day that I thought was telling of current society: profits up 70%, cost of living up 8%, wages up 3%.
  6. I don't get her character either. she doesn't seem like much of a dominatrix in her real life, so that seems like a conflict. plus, the idea that she would be that well paid, liked, and sought after, as a personal/career coach is not believable. another thing that's not believable to me is to think axe would just bring taylor back in and not suspect something is up. what a dumb idea. he's crushed every other enemy and he's going to give her work space and pay her utilities and agree to hire her whole team? makes no sense and should glow neonly obvious to him. i'm wondering if, now that Rebecca is out of the picture, he and wendy don't end up shacked up together and a couple. that would humiliate chuck and really get his ire up.
  7. chuck shit the bed on his marriage, over and over again. axe is a douche. he needs to go down in a big way.
  8. open bottles scare me off, unless its such a good deal that even if it's fake or bad, it would still be worth it. i'd love to have a bottle of parker heritage, or hell even try a sip.
  9. that's a helluva price. 6 of the rarest, most sought after bourbons out there for $70? i'd jump all over that. I've paid $125 for the 5 btacs, and another $125 for the five pappy's. there was some other shit that came with that, but still.
  10. love that bottle. where'd ya get it?
  11. I agree with this post. right now he'd probably win re-election. we need to do better.
  12. she needs to get laid, that's for sure.
  13. agree with the op, Cuban cigars do live up to the hype. not many things do. Cubans are the absolute best cigars made. I don't agree with you about Kentucky bourbon, but do agree with you about this. get them whenever you travel overseas. I had a scuba diving friend that brought them back every time he went to the Caribbean, so was well stocked in them for a decade or more. I lost that connection but always have a couple in my humidor.
  14. it should be his race to lose. he has the youth, the height, the energy, the ideas, the principles, the looks to be a great leader and our next president. i'm baffled as to why he's not running stronger. it is a little concerning and makes me wonder if he shouldn't have run against cornyn instead. i'm hoping he rises to the top. I do not agree however on the issue of impeachment and am with Pelosi on this one. that needs to be downplayed and ignored as a nonissue. we are on the verge of converting some repubs, its happening daily I believe. they are realizing he's a liar, trampling on the constitution, has no rule of law, and is endangering all our lives and our livelihoods. why impeach when if we do our jobs right he will be out of office in a year and a half? impeachment talk will reduce the flow of gop voters that are on the fence on whether this guy is a good president or not in their eyes. they might not like him as a president but that doesn't mean they want to see him criminalized. what we should be talking about instead is what good congress can do, productive acts, not destructive acts like impeachment. we should and will spend our time on immigration reform, healthcare reform, infrastructure, repairing our relationships with the rest of the world, etc. talk about hopefulness, not negativity.
  15. those prices make me wish I stuck to beer 10 years ago.
  16. I bought my first bottle of four roses small batch select tonight. quite impressed. it's no Blanton's, but probably worth the $53. I also picked up a bottle of 8 buck. cost me about the same price and they seem to be ndp. not sure what to make of it yet, but tasting it side by side with the four roses, my first impression is that it's $25 overpriced.
  17. I don't know man. i'm a big weller 12 fan, but the other wellers seem like comparing buffalo trace to blantons. weller 12 is the recipe, and the all others are fillers.
  18. is lisabellas open in cinnamon shores? that was the best meal I ever had in port a, back when she was off alister. don't know anything about black marlin but will have to check it out.
  19. cappy's? holy shit, that place has been there forever. he had a few other restaurants in the industry if i'm not mistaken. my wife and I would go for drinks there but never ate. I always liked the place.
  20. I haven't cracked mine open yet, but I have higher expectations of it than owa. owa is pretty run of the mill, and like bozo said we pay for rare bourbon, not for good bourbon.
  21. nice pickup. dallas definitely has better allocation rights than Houston or dallas. cant find that shit or old ezra 7 anywhere and you have it out the ass.
  22. yeah, she's easily influenced. how she could feel any inclination to marry a man that she knows better than anyone is a charlatan and a fake is beyond me. I get the social stigma with lesbianism, and the fear of that, but why not choose neither? it's like she feels there are only two choices in front of her.
