  1. yet another season where they vote a hot chick off as early as possible. bunch of catty bitches. you'd have had to pay me big money to sway me away from voting out the annoying complainer/yoga instructor.
  2. Ernie is one of the best characters I've seen on tv in a while. Not sure why I've never seen this actor in anything before. He's awesome. Cody reminds me so much of Martin Short, and that's to say obnoxious and unlikable. I agree the show has bogged down the last couple of episodes. It started out better than it's finishing up.
  3. I do not agree with this position one bit.
  4. if blantons were more available it might very well be the only bourbon i'd ever drink. it's a fantastic bourbon. i said a couple of posts up that i'd found a bottle of parker heritage. it was hancocks reserve i have a bottle of. havent cracked it open yet. it seems way more rare than blantons to me. I've found 5 bottles of blantons before i found a bottle of hancocks reserve.
  5. the new report. this just in from the beef growers of America, red meat is good for you. oh, and hormel says processed food is good for you too. they're laughing all the way to the bank.
  6. did not realize wheatley stopped making the 4g. legent is good, but not worth going crazy for. the one I've been impressed with lately is balcones pot still. $23. that's half the price of their other products, and a damn good bourbon.
  7. hard to read those findings and not get cloakroomy. this smacks of trump and more pseudoscience. this will go down as the era of the imbeciles.
  8. i listen to people talk way too much in real life to tolerate it on the radio. I just cancelled my Sirius, so am back to local radio in my car (unless listening to ipod or Spotify). other than kutx and sun, I cant find much out there. acl is a misnomer, and plays no Austin music, just vapid pop. what do you guys listen to?
  9. in the last couple of months i've found a bottle of weller antique, parker heritage, and a stagg jr. that's about it. no blantons, eht of any kind (looking for the single, 4grain, or amaranth), btac. if anyone is in austin and knows of some please pm me.
  10. the dude that's best friends of the youngest gemstone bothers me. gives me the creeps. I don't like the character, don't like the actor, and don't see that it adds any value to the show.
  11. faron did him a solid. not many musicians would have been that selfless and generous. that was a class act move right there.
  12. Whittington will likely go back to wr with burt, duvernay, Johnson, all being seniors. coin flip at this point as to whether moore plays again for us or not.
  13. now there is the one per day per person rule of blantons at buffalo trace however.
  14. allocation is allocation. Kentucky had no better selection of bourbon on the shelves than texas does.
  15. it's an okay show but not as funny as it could be. similar cast to vice principals, but imho that show was funnier than this one.
  16. any talk of this getting picked up by a premium cable channel or on demand?
  17. dude, i like you, and you're normally a good poster, but this could be your worst take ever. your fans were aggy level douchebags before the game and since. your coach lies and fakes injuries. ehlinger had a career high, not against tulsa, san jose state, baylor, kansas, but career high yardage against the supposedly vaunted lsu defense. and he had a poor first half, missing several easy throws. next year is going to be epic.
  18. you'll hold that note motherfucker, and you'll like it.
  19. no thanks, i'm not that old yet.
  20. I like the legent too. could easily be an everyday drinker.
  21. some bourbon snobs asked one of the van winkels once, what do you say when you see someone mixing pappy with coke, and his answer was "thank you for drinking pappy". doesn't matter how you drink it, drink it like you like it.
  22. there are definitely more closet nationalists in this country than we know about. that's one thing 2016 taught us, and it hasn't changed any. i expect trump to get just as many votes in 2020. loyal to a fault, they're going down with the ship.
  23. i thought it was a fantastic show. the lead actress is a fantastic actress. she is nailing this role, and should have received more acclaim for it.
  24. i'm a huge fan of washington journal on cspan. perfect sociology study on politics and our society. one thing i've noticed is how many callers that claim to be independent are very conservative. you can tell in the first couple of sentences these people don't have a democrat bone in their body. one guy this week, "and now from a caller on our independent line", claimed that kamala harris wasn't black. if 90% of the "independents" are conservatives, maybe they are just embarrassed for trump and ashamed to admit they are republicans?
  25. agreed. if chris nelson rubbing his belly after a sack is a 15-yd penalty, then by god anyone doing the horns down after a sack should be a 15-yd penalty. the fact that it has to be directed at someone to be a penalty is ludicrous.
