  1. jardin corona on pond springs is excellent, but might be considered out of cedar park. I would submit for your consideration texican café, near lakeline mall. inexpensive and good quality. one of the few places in town with cabrito on the menu.
  2. aurora and julia were the only two people not being included in the powwows, and were coincidentally the only two people that didn't vote for julia. i think they should have had a sense that david was safe but obviously they weren't trusting what they were hearing. victoria flat out told david that he was going to get the votes going into tribal, so like i said, going into it, yes he should have played it, but the chaos, in my mind, should have led him to be reassured that his name was no longer being tossed around.
  3. Yes, Black's took over for Salt Lick as a vendor. That's an upgrade imho.
  4. If wine is your main target, then Total Wine. Actually if local beer or bourbon are your targets, then Total Wine between those three choices. I've given up on all three for bourbon and pretty much sticking just to small, independent liquor stores.
  5. Lockhart is liable to be a cluster this weekend as the Old Settlers Music Fest is going on. I agree that Blacks is the best tasting bbq, but the experience is lacking. Out-of-towners would be more impressed with Luling, Kreuz, or Smitty's as far as the pit experience goes visually.
  6. i was stunned out how unathletic he actually is. at this point it doesnt matter much since it is all individual immunity, but it would have been nice if that had been exposed more during the team challenges. he might not still be here if it had.
  7. I'm sure there will be another hidden idol and search next week. Devens and David misplayed that. Originally, going into the tribal, it would have been a lifesaver because David was a top target (along with Kelly), but after the chaos of the live tribal they should have had a sense that the table were turned and he was safe. Would have been smarter if their spidey senses had kicked in and they still had that in their pocket.
  8. that was a fantastic episode. a great tribal as far as drama goes, but i'm not so sure i'm a fan of live tribals either. it almost seems like it should be illegal to whisper or powwow at tribal. i thought kama had two good options - breaking up the lesu two (david/devenz), or breaking up the lesu three (kelly/wardog/lauren). instead they self-destructed. that leaves aurora, julie, and ron free agents to join either group. oh, and victoria. forgot about her. she's another free agent that can join any alliance.
  9. looks great. we stock the guad with rainbows and browns, about that size too. looks great.
  10. they keep describing her as "college athlete". what sport did she play? she doesn't seem particularly athletic. i'm guessing soccer?
  11. the way i interpreted it was that they were committing incest but didnt know it. i got the feeling tyrion did, and was conflicted on whether he should interfere or not.
  12. i've got two bottles of it, and cracked one open a couple of weeks ago. it's okay, but not exceptional. i think what makes it great is the price point. it's better than elijah craig, knob creek, buffalo trace, and makers mark. maybe not quite as good as eagle rare.
  13. thanks for the background. still haven't heard of him, or that movie.
  14. it's not a slight, I just cant ever remember his name. and how is it he's "well known outside the game"? he seems to only be good at cheerleading.
  15. the two that seem to want it the most are dany and cersei. not sure how relevant their ambitions are though. in practically every season, dragonglass, wildfire, and valerian steel have been a major focus. I do not see the night king surviving this with that kind of foreshadowing. that's just my take though. it would actually be pretty cool to see him sitting on the iron throne in the last scene of the show.
  16. I've actually been pretty impressed by his intelligence so far. He dresses like an 80's breakdancer, but he seems to have a keen eye for strategy and a sense of what's going on around him. Unlike Aubrey, who is probably plenty smart in her real job, but is clueless in this game. That was one of the better episodes of the season, and it's been a pretty interesting season. Strong players in the jury that can affect the game from there, as well as by coming back in. Going to be interesting how devenz and gay dude save face and get back into good graces after being on the wrong side of the last vote.
  17. tried all 5 of the btac selections last weekend. was not as impressed with them as i was the year before. had a sample of the pappy 23 right after and it blew me away. much better than any of the btac's. one thing i learned though, one of them (either the sazerac or the handy) had 73% angel's share, so they only ended up with 23 barrels. no wonder we can't find this shit.
  18. I'm leaning towards Tyrion taking the iron throne. he comes from a villainous family, but is he really a villain? people like him because he's an underdog. he's kind of a compromise. I would prefer arya over everyone. jon and daeneyrs have done a good job and negotiated treacherous waters to get here but them winning the game of thrones is too predictable.
  19. a sweep of baylor would be sweet redemption and get the train back on the tracks.
  20. I go once a week, every friday during lunch. very rarely do i need to go back, and very rarely do i shop anywhere other than heb. i keep a running grocery list during the week, go through coupons and recipes on thursday so i have a rough idea of the menu for the coming week and include all those ingredients on the list.
