  1. for the same reasons the border patrol has given trump and the gop a list of things they need and a wall isn't in the top 10. what trump tries to pass as truth, and a crisis, is a lie.
  2. yep, that's exactly how I went about the 2018 elections. anyone and everyone standing by this buffoon deserves to be ousted. drain the swamp.
  3. The park was busy last week? Like what, 21 people? There is never anyone in that freaking park, but the ones that are there are in the camp spots I want. There are very limited 2wd, low clearance spots there. papalito colorado is a great one. we stayed at rancho viejo the first time, and the bunkhouse the second.
  4. Just started Killers of the Flower Moon. Only 20 pages in but gripping story. Well written.
  5. I've read that one. Great book. Try Basin and Range too, if you haven't read it already.
  6. I can't believe all the rightwingers on here that are picking apart and dissecting AOC's words, yet blindly refuse to do the same for Trump. We have never had a more dishonest president - blatant lies, made up facts, malarkey, hot air, braggadocio. Just this week spokespeople for his administration said 4,000 terrorists have been arrested at our borders. DHS has come out and said it's 6. 6 terrorists have been arrested at our borders. 3,694 shy of the number that Trump's administration spouts out in public, to the press, that all his gullible sycophants cling to. That's just one example out of hundreds in the past two years. I don't mind you criticizing people or holding them to a certain standard, but apply that standard to everyone, not just those you already predetermined you are against and don't like.
  7. Great shots. What trail was that? What campsite did you use? I have been twice and dig it. Starting to prefer it to the NP but it's primitive AF.
  8. i really wanted to watch the longhorn bball game tonight, but this should be interesting. cnn is airing the democrat response. i wonder if fox will.
  9. i wouldn't go that far, but there's always hope.
  10. my new spot is the growler bar, in pflugerville. awesome selection, not crowded, knowledgeable bar staff.
  11. This shutdown is bullshit and all on trump and the republicans. They could separate the two issues - getting the government back up and running, and funding for the wall. Two different issues. They are holding all federal employees, and all of us citizens, hostage because they can't separate the two.
  12. come on man. we threw 300 passes this year, 30 went to the TE. we'll have 7 TE's on the roster next year with beck and fehr leaving and wiley and liebrock coming in. that's loaded, considered how seldom they're used. beck could block, and he was a positive presence and influence as far as leadership goes, but he will not be missed like some of the others listed that had major impacts on the game.
  13. agree with this list but substitue vahe for ljh, since he doesn't belong there. those thinking beck will be missed, or at least at the top of the list of those missed, are delusional. we are loaded at te. we'll be fine there.
  14. have you ever done a marathon? that might be a goal to consider. a half marathon would be very similar to the 10-mile race you're looking for.
  15. o as in ohio, or oklahoma?
  16. I It's definitely doable. Upsides are better accommodations, less crowds. Downsides are you'll be putting about 180 extra miles on your car each day. If you're not going to camp then hotels outside the park are about your only option. It takes planning way in advance to get a cabin or lodge room. The other upside to staying in Alpine is you could visit places outside the park - Ft Leaton, the state park, Marfa, Terlingua, Ft Davis, etc.
  17. Sean Hannity?
  18. there's a whole library of them in the back of that pizza parlor. that's the rumor anyway.
  19. Awesome news. Thanks Collin!
  20. I'm enjoying it, a lot, but have no clue what the fuck is going on anymore.
  21. that looks like you checked all the boxes - cabbage, collards, black-eyed peas, cornbread. i did it up in similar fashion, except my cabbage was in the form of cole slaw on pulled pork sandwiches.
  22. ease up on the koolaid bro. it's a word used for 11 pt underdogs that jump up and bite you in the ass.
  23. you have a point, but it was still funny. it was like rubbing salt in their wound. they felt slighted that they weren't a top 4 team, when really we exposed them as not even a top 5 team. their pride got stomped on last night and the chant adds to their embarrassment.
  24. agree. great job by stiller.
  25. What a great win. Loved the "over-rated" chant. Were the longhorn fans also chanting "sec" right before that in some kind of sarcasm? Seems like I heard it but couldn't figure out if it was Georgia or Texas fans chanting it. We had a lot of seniors on this team. Hopefully all the juniors come back (yes, I'm talking to you Collin and LJ). Will be interesting to see how the team looks next year. With Nelson gone, our DL looks really small. Would be nice to pick up a Stoney Clark/Chris Akins type of motherfucker. 4 1000 yd rushers in 2 years is amazingly impressive. Nice run for Georgia. They definitely didn't expect the dogfight we gave them. They walked in entitled like Texas has done for decades and got bit by a pesky underdog. Welcome to the club assholes. Whoever is hungriest takes it, and we were hungrier last night.
