  1. You dodged a bullet, dude. Time to take care of yourself. No more booze, no more stress, no more chickie fried steak, no more red meat, no more viagra, and no more sex. Walk daily, reduce simple carbs and fats, get some rest, meditate, be wise. PS-just kidding about the sex part.
  2. I'm thinking my place could look like that.
  3. Good read, but doesn't say enough about CJK5H. https://sports.yahoo.com/downfall-craig-james-create-karma-021520234.html
  4. Orvis.com has lots of videos, as does Youtube in general. If you could scrape together a hundred bucks, though, a lesson is the best shortcut you can take.
  5. I know a young man from Waco who, when he was 20, was caught having sex with his seventeen-year old girlfriend (by her mother). Moments before Mom made her entrance, girlfriend's bff (aged 16) jumped in to the fray and young lad grabbed her by her ample bosom, through her clothes. Mom freaked out, call Bff's mom, and summoned the police. He was convicted of indecency with a child and spent ten long years in prison. He is now labeled a sex offender, and has to register everywhere he goes. He is white, raised poor, and is now un-hirable. He should have just enrolled in Baylor. https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/maryanngeorgantopoulos/former-baylor-fraternity-sexual-assault-plea-deal-no-jail?bfsource=cleanhpvariant A Former Baylor University Fraternity President Accused Of Sexual Assault Will Serve No Jail Time After A Judge Approved His Plea Deal A former Baylor University fraternity president originally indicted for sexually assaulting a woman in 2016 will avoid jail time and being placed on the sex offender registry after pleading no contest to a lesser charge. State District Judge Ralph Strother on Monday accepted the deal presented by prosecutors nearly two months ago in Waco, Texas, and sentenced Anderson to three years of deferred probation. Anderson was accused of raping a 19-year-old female student at a Phi Delta Theta party in 2016. According to an arrest affidavit, the unnamed woman said she felt dizzy and disoriented after drinking a cup of punch. The affidavit said Anderson took her outside for her to get some air before he sexually assaulted her.

    NFL week 14

    Sorry dude. Have some rep.
  7. Anybody read that episode of “The Martian Chronicles” called “The Fire Balloons”? It was about a young missionary who felt compelled to preach the gospel to hyper intelligent beings made wholly of energy. Good times ensue http://www.astro.sunysb.edu/fwalter/AST389/FireBalloons.pdf
  8. S9o that road that was blown all to hell? already been fixed. https://www.cnn.com/2018/12/05/us/alaska-earthquake-road-repair-trnd/index.html Alaska road crews are the envy of folks in the Lower 48 because of their quick repair of a road that was ripped apart by Friday's 7.0-magnitude earthquake. An off-ramp connecting International Airport Road and Minnesota Drive in Anchorage collapsed in the quake, creating a huge hole that made the unfortunate SUV that fell in look like a toy. Before and after photos shared on Facebook on Tuesday showed how quickly the repairs were completed. The jagged chucks of broken road are gone, the hole is filled, the road has been repaved and fresh lines have been painted.
  9. Maybe so, but their Twitter game gonna suffer.
  10. My new partner started two weeks ago-after eighteen years in Wasilla. She left her husband behind to sell the house, and closing was scheduled for two weeks hence. That's delayed now, needless to say. Sheetrock cracked, she says, but no structural damage. Plus my avatar was shot in Anchorage so hits close to home, etc.
  11. Ok-so I repped Phlegm. "Some Like It Hot" is the funniest movie ever.
  12. Exactly. This game played out perfectly for the conference.
  13. Not talking about them-they talk for themselves. Talking about Jesus his own self.
  14. https://www.msn.com/en-us/weather/topstories/the-latest-tsunami-alert-for-southern-alaska-after-quake/ar-BBQjfcl A 6.6 magnitude earthquake has rocked buildings in Anchorage and caused lamp posts and trees to sway, prompting people to run out of offices and seek shelter under office desks. The U.S. Geological Survey says the earthquake Friday morning was centered about 7 miles (12 kilometers) north of Alaska's largest city. An Associated Press reporter working in downtown Anchorage saw cracks in a 2-storey building after the quake. It was unclear whether there were injuries. People went back inside buildings after the earthquake but a smaller aftershock a short time later sent them running back into the streets again.
  15. Jesus stood at the door and knocked. He didn't barge in a scare the populace to death.
  16. My grandfather ran track at Baylor and won the 1909 conference championship in the 880.
  17. As close to perfection as I've seen.
  18. https://www.texasmonthly.com/being-texan/the-texanist-mother-unhappy-non-texan-girlfriend/?utm_source=Twitter&utm_medium=Social&utm_campaign=Web Social&utm_content=texanist I’m a senior at Texas A&M and I am happy to report that I have a girlfriend. She’s also a senior and we’ll both graduate this spring, at which time we’ll hopefully each have a job in our respective fields in Houston. The problem is, she’s from Wisconsin and my mom, a rabidly native Texan, sensing that things are progressing, has begun to put out subtle signals that she’d rather I marry a girl from Texas. In fact, she actually said this directly to me the last time I saw her. I thought she was joking at first, but she’s serious. This is crazy, right? How do I convince my mom that her feelings toward my Wisconsin girlfriend are wrong and that she ought to just be happy for us? Name Withheld, College Station A: It warms the cockles of the Texanist’s hardened old heart to hear about a budding love between two young Aggies. Congratulations to you both. It’s great to know, despite all the hurly-burly out there today, what with the political pandemonium, the climate crisis, and the general prickliness, that romance perseveres. And between two Aggies no less. You know, time was, such amorousness amongst Ags was more of a challenge than it is today. Although Texas A&M University opened its doors as the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas way back in in 1876, it didn’t begin enrolling women on an equal basis until nearly a hundred years later, in 1971. On a straight sexism level, the foolishness of this type of exclusion is, of course, well documented.
