  1. It came up as "CITY NAME" where the main branch is located, and then the number for my credit union (I have an iphone if that matters as far as what that looks like). I do not have my credit union number saved as a contact, but I've been a member since the late 80s/early 90s and I know their main phone number.
  2. They fucking called back! I'm at work this morning and my cell phone rings. I look and see that it's the number for my credit union and the correct city. But I'm skeptical due to the prior bullshit. I answer and the thick indian accent tells me he's from my CU's fraud department. I give him the Ron Burgandy "I don't believe you" and he immediately says "FUCK YOU, fuck your mother!". I lose it and say loudly "FUCK YOU, motherfucker piece of shit" and some extra insults on top. To my surprise, he didn't hang up, maybe he was shocked. I hung up and I hear my boss from his office "Uhh, that wasn't a client call, was it?". But it wasn't over. They called back this evening but didn't spoof the number. It was from Yonkers, NY, alledgedly. Same script, CU fraud, blah blah. I just unleashed swears and slurs and hung up before he could respond. Fuck these scamming fucks.
  3. I like how they edit out the line "The chicks all cream!"
  4. It gets better. We also have a black dude named Riley Nowakowski.
  5. Early in our marriage, she got a "Gazelle" machine, which was fucking stupid. Then she kicked it up a notch to an elliptical, which she actually did use from time to time but not enough to justify the purchase. After it sat for years with clothes hanging on it, we sold it and I thought the game was finally over. But no, some fucker on FB just had to sell this thing. She has already talked about one of those little walking treadmills but I have vetoed her idea.
  6. We've had a giant, gym quality treadmill in the spare bedroom for several years, and you'll be shocked to hear that my wife never fucking used it. Well, she decided to start but it up and died after like 3 uses. It'll cost too much to fix so I said it's outta here. Yesterday was moving day. I didn't expect or really need any help, but my wife just had a couple of surgeries and couldn't help, regardless. I knew this. She knew this, too. But she felt like she had to stand behind me and whimper "I wish I could help" like 50 fucking times. I said I didn't need her to "help" other than opening the front door, and that her constant comments were the opposite of help. She didn't take the hint. Then, as I'm maneuvering this huge fucking bastard treadmill through the narrow hall, she felt like she needed to chime in with "You've almost got it; You're doing great", as I struggled and swore. I finally had to drop the bomb and say that she was acting just like my mother, who was a great person but felt like she just had to micromanage everything, even if she was just watching. Feelings were hurt, along with my back, but I finally got it out of the house. For the cherry on top, she felt like she had to walk me outside, like a mother taking her kid to the bus stop. I said "I know where I'm going, you can wait here" and she stomped away. Fuck treadmills
  7. TV show seasons being so spread out is stupid. I got friends asking if I'm up to date on Stranger Things, it's been 3 fucking years! I barely remember WTF was happening when it stopped. The desire to finish it just isn't there. Maybe I'll give a shit about it again one day.
  8. It's never gonna happen. I'm stuck here for all eternity, because she already told me that she's gonna bury my ass here. Hello darkness, my old friend
  9. Went to my wife's appointment with the oncologist yesterday. It's official: she's cancer free and there's nothing left to do. No chemo, no radiation, no hormone blockers. We are done with this shit. I realize that what she (and I, to a much lesser extent) went through pales in comparison to what many of you are dealing with, so please don't think I'm getting chesty. I'm just thankful. I want our normal, stress-free lives back.
  10. Took my wife to her Dr. appointment. It was scheduled for 4:30 but they said we had to be there by 4:00. We got there at 3:45 and didn't see the doctor till 6:00.
  11. Maybe try offering her a call guy?
  12. I had 2 kids, and now I have 3 grandchildren. I refuse to take any blame for this.
  13. Over/under on how soon he pawns that watch for beer money?
