  1. Since they're both dead, that pretty much rules out a medical emergency, like heart attack. So that leaves carbon monoxide poisoning, murder-suicide, or double murder. And yeah, I've seen the rumors about their son doing it. I guess he's had a lot of problems in his life.
  2. Well, it's actually Paul, but your kindness is duly noted.
  3. I never thought I'd see the day
  4. If a game is being broadcast on an OTA channel, why the fuck to I have to have a cable subscription in order to watch the stream online??? They still show the fucking commercials in the stream. They still plaster ads all over their page. GTFOH with that shit.
  5. Back in the 80s, one of my friend's dad had a movie that sounds similar to this. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0128611/
  6. My dad was born and raised in Bloomington. I was wearing IU gear since I was a toddler. We had great talks about IU football last year, I never thought we could top that. I just called him, he was asleep LOL. He's 78 and couldn't stay awake. I'm about to drop a bunch of $$$ on B1G champs gear. I don't give a fuck. This may never happen again. I'm gonna buy my grandkids some stuff, too. I cannot act like I've been there before, because I have not.
  7. Someone hung a 5 foot tall wreath in the hallway at my office. Whenever I leave to go to the bathroom or something, I see this thing in the corner of my eye and it looks like there's a guy, leaning against the wall like some 50's hoodlum. There's not a lot of traffic in this hallway, so it catches me off guard. Like, how did this MF get in? And then I realize it's that fucking wreath.
  8. Oh, the drains. Yeah, she had them after the mastectomy. Yes, I drained them every time she needed it, logged the amount of fluid I took out from each side, and I made sure to swab the fuck out of them with alcohol wipes. She hates the damn things. She got them out on Tuesday but the reconstruction is next Tuesday, so she'll only get a week's worth of relief. She said the drains have been the worst part of this whole thing, by far.
  9. We went to my wife's follow up appointment, got the pathology reports. All clear, they got all of it out during surgery (not that there was much to take out). Also the lymph nodes were clear, nothing to see there. No chemo, no radiation. We will have a visit with the oncologist to discuss hormone therapy, but that will be after the reconstruction is done. I want to feel relieved but I can't just yet, this whole thing happened so fast. I think I might be on edge for a while.
  10. My kids are grown and out of the house, one in another state. Both have kids of their own. My sister has been making some comments about how it isn't fair that they don't get to see my grandkids, and how my dad isn't doing well, blah blah. My sister's kids are losers and don't have (and will never have) kids of their own, which means my grandchildren are the closest she's ever going to get. I have told her and my dad that I can't control where my kids are on Christmas or thanksgiving or whatever holiday. We either have to have multiple get togethers or go without. Nobody wins and I have to hear about it.
  11. Something tells me Cyclone Larry isn't going to feel very giddy in a few hours.
  12. I flew into Midway once, in the 90s. The whole place smelled like piss. /csb

I take the tube from the airport but when it's time to leave, I Uber to the airport. Never had a problem.
  14. I'm pretty sure when Saban left Michigan State to go to LSU, he told his staff they could come too, and they all said no.
