  1. I didn't see this addressed in the game or the show, so anyone feel free to correct me but the whole point was that Joel is supposed to deliver Ellie to the fireflies in exchange for supplies. Guns, a vehicle, etc. He gets her there and Marlene tells him "I owe you" and her payment is to have Joel escorted to the highway and dumped. Not once does she mention paying him, not once does he ask about the payment he was supposed to receive. I can understand Joel not caring at that point but shouldn't Marlene have said "Hey, don't worry. You're getting the supplies we talked about. our men will hook you up"? Instead, she just stiffs him.
  2. If he ever leaves town, it won't be due to racist taunts. It'll be because he's tired of hearing the Iowa mating call of "STALLING! STALLING! " all winter and spring. /disgruntled OSU fan
  3. Like Texas last year, when no horns were drafted?
  4. How tony are we talking? Nichols Hills isn't a suburb per se, but a small municipality inside of OKC. It's what I'd consider "old money". Think of places where all the doctors and attorneys lived in the 60s & 70s. Large, older homes in a very secluded locale. Gaillardia is another rich enclave, Kevin Durant lived there for a while. It's pretty much just a country club with mansions built around it. Edmond is an actual "upper class" suburb, north of OKC. Pretty snooty IMO, I lived there (as a poor person) for 8 years. The traffic is horrible, though. Or do you want some semi-rural action? Deer Creek is a very popular choice, it's NW of OKC. Piedmont is another, it's out west. A good rule of thumb is just don't go south.
  5. Good for him. I wouldn't pay him that much, but all these guys need to strike while the iron is hot.
  6. They'll pay him millions of dollars. He's 31, not gonna get another big deal after this IMO. Taking the money is a no-brainer.
  7. I've lived in the OKC metro for 35+ years, never saw any Chiefs fans out and about until they won the SB a few years ago. Now those fuckers are everywhere. Piss off, bandwagon jumpers.
  8. Yeah and many of them had longer episodes, too. Like 60-75 mins for a drama.
  9. That was my assumption but it's not like they ID'd the guy at the time. They had the cult guy blurt out "He killed Kenny!" like we were supposed to know who that is.
  10. Just watch the last ep. Help me out here: The cultists claim Joel killed one of their people. Are they referring to one of the guys that were killed at the university? I've seen the game but can't remember anything.
  11. This recently happened to me. My buddy had told me he got suspended from facebook (again) and he was dealing with getting reinstated, or whatever the fuck they do. I told him to just...not use it and go live his life but whatever. But then a couple of days later, he sent me a message (on FB messenger) that he needed some code and coud I send it to him. We're always busting each other's chops but he wasn't really saying much. I sent him the code and then I texted him on the phone and asked him about it and he said he hadn't sent me anything. I immediately changed my password and nothing came of it. I then got a message from the hackers, asking for gift cards. I said I would do it if he sent nude pics of his wife. So far, no pics but I'll share them if I get any.
  12. This is one of my favorite songs of all time. RIP indeed.
  13. I moved to Oklahoma when I was 13. Are you telling me I should've become a sooner fan, like 80% of those dipshit kids????
  14. I tried to listen back when she first started but I couldn't handle her horrible voice and delivery. Then she started bitching about people who made comments about her shitty voice. I gave up on her.
  15. You just need to tie her to a politician. I shook hands with my former governor and a current senator. Both shook hands with Trump, he shook hands with QE2/Phillip when they met. Both Liz and Phil shook with her dad and uncle, then Hitler.
  16. This one is currently working for me. https://buffstreams.sx/live-jake-paul-vs-tommy-fury
  17. When we left Europe and moved back to the states in '86, I remembered seeing the TV ads for Steak and Ale and thinking "This must be one of the fanciest places in the country!". Then I went once as an adult and I said to myself "Really? This?".
  18. These are essentially the same outcome.
  19. Some dumb bitch called me at work at 4:52 PM yesterday. Who does that?? If the clock reads almost 5, just wait till tomorrow. I remember as a teenager working at Best Buy, some fucker would always want to run into the store 5 mins before closing to buy a fucking CD.

    Getting old sucks

I was in London a couple of months ago, did a lot of walking. After the second day, my left knee felt like it was full of broken glass and both calves screamed when using stairs. I felt much better a couple of days later but to this day, my knee explodes when I straighten it out.

    Getting old sucks

I was talking to my coworker, we've both been working here for almost 15 years. We were discussing this guy that used to come in all the time and how he had died some years ago. I remember rolling my eyes at the old women that used to work here when they'd blab about some person from 1987. But it dawned on me that we were now the old people in the office, standing around talking about shit that happened a decade ago, but no other employees have been here long enough to remember this one guy.
  22. I always felt like it was a big deal when McCarver was broadcasting. Made it feel more important. I felt the same way when Billy Packer was doing basketball games. Now both are gone and I feel old.
