  1. My dad. Born into a loving but lower class family, left home for the military and served 26 years (enlisted, not an officer). Then worked for the VA for another 17 odd years. Through self-sacrifice, hard work and shrewd investing, is now a retired millionaire. Never brags about his accomplishments, never puts himself above anyone else. Most importantly for me, he never said to me "I told you so", when I gave him plenty of opportunities.

I still have some burn scars from my old man’s Camel exiting the wind wing and ashes reenterinng onto me in the back seat.

Fortunately Dad was an early believer in AC.

My dad told me that he and his three brothers used to fight to see who had to sit behind my grandfather in the car. Gramps dipped skoal and when he would spit out the window, it would inevitably fly into the rear window and nailing the kid sitting back there.

  3. Driving to dinner tonight, the wife sees a car that jogs her memory (sort of):

Wife: Seeing that 4runner there, are you friends with So-and-So on Facebook? She just got a new car!

Me: No, I'm not. She got a new 4runner?

Wife: No. I don't know what she got. But she got a new "something".

Me: Then why even mention a 4runner?

Wife: Well, her sister has one.

“It isn’t shit to have a $1,400 month note” is exactly what the dealerships making these viral videos want to normalize. It absolutely isn’t normal, but if they can shock you with the outliers, a still absurd $750/month starts to not look so bad.

I just can't fathom having the mindset that thinks a payment this high is acceptable. I'm not some 1% guy that pays cash for my car, either. Shit, my mortgage isn't that high!

People who stay late at work to just chat. I have some co-workers and bosses who literally just sit and talk for like 30 mins when they are off about the worst bullshit. Recipes, kids, work stories. I'm in the criminal justice field, and everyone also likes to talk about their horrible cases. When it's my time to get off, I'm fucking gone usually. And I'm close with my coworkers, but they never shut the fuck up and stay sooo much later just making small chat about nothing, then also complain about long hours...the fuckkk.

This sounds like some people that are actively trying to avoid going home. I used to do that shit too, then I got divorced. Now I try to sneak out early every chance I get.

people Women who walk around the office barefoot

FIFY. The old bags at my office would do this on the reg. I thought about telling them about all the piss on the men's room floor that us guys track back into our office, but I decided that not telling them is more fun.

When people leave 2-3 seconds on the microwave.

It's worse when someone doesn't bother to enter the required cooking time and just puts it on for 10 mins. Then they stop it at some random time and say "good enough" and leave it paused at 6:32 remaining and walk away.

  8. Relegation is so dumb. Imiagine a school gets bumped down a peg. Not only do you lose the money but you think these kids are gonna just stay there? Especially the seniors, they'll say Fuck This and take the first bus out of town to a better program.

  9. We went to the local grocery store to pick up a pre-made cake for my dad's birthday. It had a decoration on the left and there was a small section where you could use icing to write your own message. We take it home and she wants to do the "writing". I say fine, she asks what I want her to write. i tell her "Happy B-Day, Dad", exactly like that, with "B dash Day". She asks again, like I got marbles in my mouth or something. I say it again and I tell her "Exacty like I said, B-Day, there's not much room and that will fit easily". I leave the room.

She comes in all proud, "Look, I was able to get the whole word "Birthday" on there!". It looks fine but I ask her (for the 5000+ time in the last 13 years), "Why ask what I want if you are just gonna ignore what I say?".  Tone. She does this all the time, "What should I say in this email?" or "What should I say to my sister about XYZ?". I tell her my opinion and she does the exact opposite. I keep saying I give up but she pulls me back in, like I'm some great value Michael Corleone.

Paddy isn’t an unknown. But the rest, yeah probably.

I just looked up his IMDB, I had never heard of him. I've seen a couple of movies he's been in but I don't remember him at all. Matt Smith is the only person I recognize so far.

  11. I like to watch this youtube channel, the guy owns a leather company and he gets popular sneakers and boots and cuts them in half to show you what the quality is really like. He just did a Tony Lama vs Tecovas video, I found it interesting.

If toning down the sex means more orgies on screen, then I guess I’m in.

    This was very good.

I'm almost positive I saw a chick's butthole, so that's definitely two thumbs up for me.

On the down side, my wife's best friend died in chldbirth, along with her twins, so that part hit close to home and was hard to watch.
