  1. Dude owns a plumbing company and acts like an ass most of the time. This is nothing new here in OK.
  2. We have key cards to get in the doors at work. Just a plain card, no picture on it, no logos, nothing. You hold it by the sensor and it beeps and unlocks the door. The old women up here always call it a "badge", which I hate. I have a badge from when I worked at the county sheriff. It wasn't a plastic card. And an ID card isn't a badge either.
  3. I mean...maybe NAIA? Certainly not D-1. She tries, though. That's what matters. *clapclapclap*
  4. Shit, you've signed your own death warrant! Luby's shooting - Wikipedia
  5. I misplaced my phone last night, couldn't find it anywhere. I asked my wife to call it so I could track it down. She calls but nothing. We walked around the house, her calling and me listening intently but still nothing. She eventually sees it and I'm really irritated that it didn't ring. I checked and it wasn't on silent so I'm just cursing apple at this point. She looks down at her phone and says, "Umm, it's not your phone's fault. I was dialing your work number this whole time. Sorry.".
  6. This is probably why I have TE. I play golf but maybe 1-2 times a year. I use the previously mentioned theraband/dildo bar and wear an elbow sleeve and both are great.
  7. "I've got offers from Brockway, Ogdenville and North Haverbrook and by gum, I'll put them on the map!"
  8. Hearing some chatter that Spencer Sanders is in quarantine and won't be ready in time for the game, Illingsworth to get the start. It was mentioned on sports radio this morning (I didn't hear it myself, just read something).
  9. That song came out when I was 18 or 19. Me and my buddies were too cool for that "pussy-ass shit" and "crank the Metallica", etc. Then I had kids and the song just blasts me in in the heart every time I hear it. My kids are 19 now and I'm sure they think I'm a dork when I listen to some pussy-ass song, too. They shall learn one day. Two that I try to avoid when driving are "Sweet Little Jesus Boy" by Andy Williams and "Were you there when they crucified my Lord" by Johnny Cash. I only listen to those when I'm alone, too. No one needs to see my fat ass blubbering.
  10. Nah, we were in slow rush hour traffic, in the middle lane.
  11. The guy in front of me on the interstate decided to use his windshield washer and the mist/water droplets were blown all over my windshield. But just enough to make a smear, not enough to get fully wiped away.
  12. His path was set in stone once his parents glossed him with that name. He was powerless to stop it, really.
  13. This has really been hitting home for me lately. I'm rewatching the Ken Burns County Music doc and they interviewed Charley Pride, Mel Tillis and Merle before they all died. And then they have Loretta Lynn, Willie and others that probably don't have much longer, it really hits home that the entertainers that have been around since before my parents were born won't be here forever. It feels weird and scary.
  14. My kid transferred to a new college (wife's alma mater, so I'm doubly supportive) and I had my eye on this particular t-shirt in the bookstore, but it's always sold out in my size. We were back on campus this weekend and I checked again and I saw it folded in the stack in the little shirt-cube thing. The sticker had the correct size, the tag inside the collar was correct as well. I bought it, but when I got home and unfolded it, I discovered that it was long sleeve. Motherfucker.
  15. I just watched this tonight, it was sad. I wasn't some superfan but I liked his work. I've only seen No Reservations and I've read his first couple of books. It made me glad that, while I've had some serious (IMO) down points in my life, I've never thought I should just end it all. I'm very thankful for that. But it really made me think about some things I've been dwelling on, made me feel like I needed to take of my training wheels, so to speak, and do some of those things I always talk about but never seem to do. To put myself out there and take a risk or two, nothing dangerous but just to allow myself the opportunity to triumph or fail and to be OK with either outcome. You only live once, right?
  16. I downloaded a program (forgot the name) that you start up before you start your game and it keeps you in a solo online lobby. It just kicks people out before they can even get in. So I could run my cocaine or weed sales without being bothered, it was great. *Edit* It's called Guardian, I think. I haven't played in at least a year and a half, so I don't even know it it still works.
  17. I have watched almost every show/film I liked on Prime slide out of prime and into one of those subscription packs they offer. Some went to IMDBtv, others to Britbox, or Docs or something. It's like cable all over again, I'm not doing it. All it's done is made me scour downloading sites to find the shows I want and put them on my plex server. It has been a pain in the ass but fuck Amazon.
  18. I'm partial to Tango & Cash.
  19. It's stories like this that make me glad that both of my parents left home after HS and never went back, other than an occasional visit. I hardly know any of my extended family and none of them even know where we live, so I don't have to worry about freeloaders showing up after Dad's gone.
  20. I don't see a 45 degree angle on those footprints. Did they outsource to China or something?
  21. A tale as old as time. My wife will buy those pre-made salads at our local grocery store and it's inevitable that at least one of them gets tossed by sunday ("I forgot that was in there!"). She actually ate all of the ones she bought the last week and tried to spike that football in my face, like she solved an ancient math equation that's baffled scientists for generations. I just told her I was proud of her and walked away.
  22. Lewis has that look on his face of someone who had his lunch stolen from the work fridge.
  23. Every other radio ad is for boner pills or some other ED treatment. And yes, I'm too cheap to pay for SiriusXM or any other music service.
  24. Watching the dude in Barcelona light the cauldron with a fucking flaming arrow is still ingrained in my memory. Absolutely loved it.
