"Black women face a constant barrage of this kind of inappropriate behavior directed toward them and a constant policing of their bodies

Translation: Women (regardless of race) that break rules all the time are tired of getting called out.

Now, I would never give 2 seconds of thought about what this person was doing. I am aware of my surroundings but I mind my own business. Her eating wouldn't affect me at all, but rules are rules. Twitter ho still should have kept quiet.

New midsize from Dodge is coming.

I had a 1987 Dodge Dakota and it was a pretty good truck. Much nicer than a 2005 Dodge Dakota that my father bought new. I really liked the Rams that I saw at the auto show this year, but I have stuck by Ford since 1994.

I'm right there with you, I really like the newer Rams but I can't force myself to get away from Ford. I asked my best friend about this Ram I liked, he told me (in a nice way) that I would be a moron if I bought it. Even my wife dislikes them, God knows why. I love my truck I just got but I'm very smitten with the new Ram.

Just about finished with DiY restoration of my 1992 BMW 318ic.. could use some touch ups and a suspension refresh but she still drives like a dream with the 5 speed manual gearboxxxx.  Don't believe I have posted about it on new site.

I think this car is the inspiration for the expression "i'd rather drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow..."

Slow car fast, eh? I guess it's cool to talk about my '94 Miata in this thread now???

  4. I wonder how soon before schools just go totally online? I have one of mine kids in online school and she prefers it.

It would kill the whole "learn to coexist with others" bit that we all grew up with, that's for sure. But I think the internet has already stunted the social growth of a lot of kids. They don't know how to deal with people in real life. Much easier to just block people you don't like. Not sure how to put the toothpaste back in the tube, though, the internet is here to stay.

  5. Why would a cop (especially one who appears to have "I'm a badass cop" syndrome) bother with making a noise complaint? I would assume she'd just go to his apartment, in uniform, and tell him to keep it down. She doesn't even have to tell him she lives there.  How would he know? If a cop comes to my door about the noise, I wouldn't assume that he/she must live here, too.

And I'm in club "never notice the doormat". Even if I did, I'd probably assume it got kicked down the hall from next door by some kids or something.

When a tv or radio has a volume setting with numbers, I have to go up or down by 5s.

I always stop on a number that corresponds with a uniform number for one of my favorite players, or I avoid a number for someone I hate. My TV is usually on 20 (Barry Sanders, Mike Schmidt). If I don't have a certain number in mind, I always stop on a 5 or 0. So when I watch GoT, it's on 30 so I can drown out my wife and the dogs.

I microwave things that way as well. Fuck 75 seconds for this breakfast biscuit, I'm going 80 for Jerry Rice.

Brienne having a relationship with Jaime was a terrible storyline. It felt like a 1980's high school RomCom.

Brienne is pursued by social outcast Tormund but gains the attention of the former high school prom king Jaime Lannister. Who will she choose? The former prom king of course and for a fleeting moment she had it all.

I laughed at her crying, Tormund would have waged war for Brienne, she choose poorly.

To be fair, she didn't ask him to come to her room. If Tormund had the balls to just walk up there, maybe he's climbing that mountain instead of Jamie.

I basically have a math major and my career is built around math. I ended up with two daughters. I hate nights when they have math homework, because they are really smart kids except for that one specific area. Between math and boys, high school is going to be quite an enjoyable time in my life I feel.

My ex-wife has a math degree. Are you a raving lunatic as well?

  9. I can still remember being outside a K-Mart in 1978 at this kiosk and my mom getting me a sweet ringer t-shirt with an iron-on that said "Chewie" in script and had a pic of his head. I wore that thing to threads. RIP to him. My mom too.

Edit: Holy fuck, I decided to look online and see if I could find a pic of the iron on and I did.

Occam's razor tells me nobody is stupid enough to enter the wrong apartment.

Man, people do dumb shit like this all the time. I can't be the only person ever to walk up to "my" car, wondering why the door won't open, and see my identical looking car, 3 rows away. Granted, this was before I had keyless entry but it still happens today at every shopping mall in the US.

Now, I can definitely say that I've never gone a step further and driven off in someone else's car. I still can't figure out how that bitch got in his apartment.

    You ever figure it out?

Nope. I've decided to get a different style cover and try and sell the current one.

they still have to have probable cause to have the dog sniff the vehicle.  and you telling them "No" to a search request is not probable cause. They have to have seen something in plain sight, or watched you hiding something, smell something, or witness you do something supicious, that allows them to search the vehicle if you decline, and they cant call a canine unit everytime you get pulled over.

Yes, a cop could lie and say they had some cause, and then you have to wait till the dog comes up, but then again, that gives you a chance to have the search thrown out if its remotely "iffy"

That's it right there. "I detect the odor of MJ about your vehicle or person" is what they will say, whether they really do or don't.

So how was it? Just got my confirmation today for a month from now

It was fine. Didn't have to stand in line too long but the process of getting inside took longer than the tour. So many security checkpoints, which is understandable. The gift shop is a desk with a hutch on the side, pretty hilarious. Lots of portraits, which are cool IMO.

I'm glad I went, just so I can say I've been inside but it wasn't some amazing experience. Pretty vanilla.

  14. I'm anti-massage as well, can't stand the thought of someone touching me. It's a no-win situation, regardless. Either it'll wind up being a dude giving the massage, which is a definite no, or it'll be a chick and I'll for sure get a hard-on and then I'll be "that guy". Why even put myself in that situation?

  15. Fucking ebay sellers and their "Make an offer" bullshit. Guy priced his item at 55, I offered 40. He counters at 50 and says "Final price, no lower". Why even do the offer part? I'm not saying he should be forced to take my offer but if 5 bucks is all the margin you have, just stick with the "buy it now" and quit acting like you're doing me a favor. This other douche was at 75, I offered 60. He graciously countered with 72. WTF?

I kept a Traci Lords tape for years that was supposedly taboo due to her being underage at the time of making the video.   Damn I wore that thing out, loved me some TL back then, girl knew how to fuck.

Well, she started young. She had ample time to perfect her craft.

  17. I had a ton of VHS tapes when I got divorced in 2007. I took my original Star Wars boxed set (not the special edition bullshit) and left the rest for her dumb ass to deal with. She didn't have a VCR, so they were useless.  I hope they took up the entire garbage can and fucked up her trash day.
